(There were really similar ones so I covered multiple in some of these)

What if y/n never became a Cloud Knight

- if y/n didn't become a Cloud Knight, she'd just become a member of the Artisanship Commission

- and the πŸ’© she builds, good lord

"Hey, do you hear something?"

"What do you mean?"

"It sounds like... someone shouting?"

A pair of artisans paused, listening closely through the hustle and bustle of the Artisanship Commission. In the distance, there was indeed a voice shouting something.

Book out..? Cook out?

"LOOK OUT!!!" y/n screamed, running towards the pair of them with a panicked look on her face.

Curious, they both looked up, only to find an airborne aurumaton zooming towards them with the intent to kill.

They pair of them shrieked, scrambling to get out of the way as the machine crashed into where they'd been standing and immediately gave chase.

- she either builds useful little machinery or highly destructive war machines β€” intentional or not

- and, despite her love of weapons, her skills with forging weapons are lower on the scale than her skills in building machines

- for some time, she does get some lessons in forging weapons from Yingxing and manages to improve upon her skills

- of course... πŸ’© happens and she's left to continue honing those skills on her own, but she still makes remarkable progress and becomes an impressive weaponsmith in... a couple centuries

- her extensive knowledge in building aurumatons, homicidal robots, big guns, and literal nukes inevitably catches the attention of the IPC *those rats* and she doesn't hesitate to join them

- yeah, that changes pretty quick after they use one of her creations to nuke a world of unsuspecting people

- she gets up out of there and returns to the Luofu

- takes her πŸ‘ back to the Artisanship commission and keeps building πŸ’© for the hell of it

- she even makes a robot to keep Jing Yuan on schedule and smack him with one of those balloon hammers whenever he starts slacking

- makes an android in the image of her brother when he passes so his soul can stick around

- that doesn't sit well with the Ten Lords, so she decides to skedaddle and wanders the stars with her android brother

- at some point, conveniently when Herta Space Station is being attacked, y/n goes there for some business and runs into the Astral Express

- you can guess what happens next πŸ‘οΈ

What if y/n never went on that stupid expedition

- she would've lasted a little longer and ended up being an unkillable beast on the Luofu where she'd be locked up instead

- does she come back to her senses? Probably not

- and it only gets worse when a certain someone breaks out of jail after the Painacony disaster

- her πŸ‘ gets out of her cell but conveniently recognizes Dan Heng and chills with him and Caelus to go borisin hunting

What if Maya was a long life species

- she's killed in battle instead

- there is no happy ending for those two

What if the Astral Express never took y/n

- if the Astral Express didn't take y/n, she'd stay there until someone found her

- in this case, let's say Aha decided to do some trolling while IPC people were on the planet looking for anything useful

- they accidentally get her out of the tree, and find a nice little unkillable killing machine to do their dirty work for them

- of course, they don't realize how useful she actually is until some wing weavers attack their ship and she takes them out with zero effort β€” though they get to see her little regeneration hacks

- y/n becomes a debt collector of sorts who goes after dangerous clients who would rather not pay off their debts

- she also snuffs out rebellions on planets that don't want to be in cahoots with the IPC

- this can range from assassinations or toppling the government in place, or just full on genocide that gets swept under the rug

- after a while, she decides she doesn't like this new job. She's an amnesiac, not heartless β€” and formerly being a soldier doesn't make her a cold hearted killer who can just kill innocents without a second thought

- she wants to back out and search for her home, but unfortunately she doesn't have the leverage in this situation

- since she doesn't remember anything prior to being rescued, they either make up some πŸ’© to keep her in their grasp, or tell her she has some debt to pay off

- they make it an egregious amount too

- like 30 trillion credits or some πŸ’©

- if that doesn't work *a little bit of debt doesn't scare someone who can't die* they can use the home she doesn't remember as leverage

- it's pretty easy for the IPC to find out that she was a resident on the Luofu, so they very strategically keep her from going over there at any point in time

- sure, they can't exactly nuke the Luofu, but she doesn't know that

- here's a fun idea, let's say she's sent down to Aeragan-Epharshel as a way of persuading the locals to cooperate with the Marketing Development Team

- it doesn't go well

- she gets killed at least five times before she makes a strategic retreat into the woods to think of a better approach

'This is no good...'

Y/n sat on a log with a contemplative look, blood still rolling from her forehead from where she took a bullet to the damn skull.

The wound was no longer there, but unfortunately her regeneration didn't clean up blood. She irritably rubbed the liquid away with a small sigh.

'I can't drag this out too long. These people may hate me for it, but it's better if I use force than the people higher up,' y/n thought to herself with a small frown, 'Talking clearly won't work, as far as they're concerned I'm just another one of the IPC. Words don't work here, but still... I don't wanna hurt anyone.'

She reached for her side where her beloved plush usually lingered, only to find that it was gone. She pat the spot once, twice, again. Mimi still wasn't there.

"Damn itβ€”! Where'd I put it?!" y/n wondered aloud with a panicked look, 'Did I drop it in the scuffle? When I was running away? Was it left in the bar?!'

"Crap! I've gotta go back for Mimi!" y/n gasped, jumping to her feet only for a rustle to catch her attention. She glanced at the bushes behind her and something ducked into the safety of them hurriedly.

"..?"

Y/n turned to face the bushes, "Is someone there?"

There was a brief moment of silence before the little face of a toddler peered out of the bushes. A toddler... what was such a young girl doing out and about with her parents?!

The little kid teetered out of the bushes and y/n's eyes lit up when she spotted the white lion plush in her grasp, "Ah! Mimi!"

The little girl blinked curiously, then glanced at the lion plush, "Mimi...?" Y/n nodded eagerly, "Yes!"

The girl pointed to y/n, "Yours?"

"Yes! Mine!"

"Mm..." the little girl seemed confused and y/n almost face palmed herself hard enough to cave in her face, 'Right! She probably doesn't have a synesthesia beacon, so she can't quite understand me.' The woman opted to nod instead.

The little girl beamed and skittered over, offering y/n the plush with a, "Mimi Lion! Here you go!"

'Urgh..! So adorable-!' y/n thought, clutching her heart and pure agony as the little girl waited expectantly for her to take the plush.

The woman excepted her beloved plush with a word of thanks, hugging the little lion with a look of relief, "Whew... thought I lost it..."

Suddenly, there was a low growl from her stomach and her face heated up in embarrassment while the little girl burst into laughter.

"H-Hey! Don't laugh at me-!" y/n protested but the toddler was already skittering away in a fit of laughter.

She curled up again with a sigh, 'I'm hungry... but I've only got a month to get on these people's good side. I'll eat when I can, work comes first.'

There was another rustle and she looked up again, surprised to see the toddler from before returning with some fruits wrapped up in a cloth.

Oh...

"You're so kind..." y/n whispered with sparkling eyes while the little girl giggled in delight, seeming to find her look of joy amusing somehow.

- y/n sort of hides out for a bit, this little πŸ‘ kid feeding her in exchange for time to hold Mimi

- eventually, a certain cowboy who eventually becomes a Galaxy Ranger comes around to investigate where his daughter's been teetering off to despite having only just learned to walk

- that's a story for another time though

What if the Xianzhou knew y/n was an emanator of abundance

- they wouldn't because Jing Yuan wouldn't let them

- he would be the first and last to find out because he'd work his πŸ‘ off to keep it a secret

- and if they did somehow find out, y/n would exile herself to keep her buddy out of trouble

What if y/n's brother never died

- she'd stay mara free for longer

- he wouldn't, though

- he had it coming

- he becomes stricken with mara and y/n unfortunately has to be the one to put him down this time

What if y/n's Dad never died

- y/n wouldn't seek out Dan Feng for training, she'd just get it from her father

- her mother would be less of a worry wart

- her brother would spend a little less time worrying, but he'd have to help y/n meet Jing Yuan in secret because her father is NOT having it

- it takes a while to get to the point where y/n and Jing Yuan can be all sweet and πŸ’© in front of him

- b/n ends up becoming stricken with Mara regardless, but y/n's father lasts longer to keep m/n and their daughter somewhat sane

- Yun just doesn't exist

What if the Stellaron Hunters took y/n instead of the Astral Express

- well she'd try to kill them on sight, duh

- Firefly puts her πŸ‘ down long enough to get her to chill out

- she sort of latches onto Blade the same way she latched onto Dan Heng, except Blade actually remembers who she once was to him

- he isn't as directly nice, he has a subtle sort of affection and care for her

- he's way more chill with her than he was when he was Yingxing, and y/n behaves herself on missions with him

- most of the time

- Kafka keeps her calm when she actually wants to get sleep without her memories tormenting her in her dreams

- Silver Wolf refuses to play games with y/n because she constantly gets wayyy too into it and either breaks controllers, something in the room, the console, or Silver Wolf's foot

- why specifically her foot? Don't worry about it

- we don't talk about Elio

- Firefly and y/n just vibe all the time and bond over doing normal πŸ’©, also because Firefly is the second most effective at calming y/n down when she starts tweaking

- by knocking her πŸ‘ out

- Kafka is the third with her mind influence stuff

- Blade is the first just by existing

- bonus: y/n constantly asks Sunday if she can touch his little wings

- he constantly refuses until he finally warms up to her and allows her to tend to the feathers and even braid his hair

- he's her personal Mimi whenever Mimi is getting some stitches from Firefly

What if y/n got involved in Dan Feng's crime

- this goes one of two ways

- he wouldn't let her get involved, she would get involved on her own volition

- straight up breaks into the Shackling Prison and wreaks havoc looking for him

- or!

- let's say y/n gets murked somehow and Dan Feng pulls the same πŸ’© on her that he pulled on Baiheng

- except it actually sort of works

- he still gets thrown in jail but Jing Yuan keeps an eye on y/n per Dan Feng's request so the dang Preceptors don't try anything

- y/n is effectively turned into a Vidyadhara, except it's a tad bit different *cough cough*

- she isn't upset about it in the slightest but she's mad asf about what happens to Dan Feng

- she just goes about her business content with the changes but not too happy with the consequences and skedaddles off the Luofu when Dan Heng is booted out

What if y/n found out about the little nickname everyone calls her behind her back

- she's flabbergasted and goes into complete silence for an entire week

- everyone is a bit on edge cause she's so quiet and they kinda walk on eggshells around her

- eventually they get curious and listen in when her and Jing Yuan are taking a walk

- just to mess with them, she asks Jing Yuan, "How'd they figure out we're married?"

- Jing Yuan plays along with it and the two of them troll for a while before admitting they're not married *yet*

What if y/n's mom didn't die

- Yun wouldn't hate y/n *he doesn't*

- y/n would be in a much better place mentally and would get free meals for her and the rest of the Astral Express when they visit

- her mother would give them little to go meals when they leave too and send good morning and good night messages to y/n every day β€” she'd call too whenever she got the chance

What if y/n's plot armor ran out and she actually died on the Luofu

- well...

- she dies

What if y/n was never taught by Dan Feng

- she'd still meet him at least once through Jing Yuan, but she'd hone her swordsmanship and spearmanship skills on her own and becomes pretty strong

- she wouldn't be able to mimic cloudhymn magic, nor would she get that several life times worth of friendship from him, but they'd acknowledge one another's existence

What if someone destroyed Mimi

- y/n would proceed to rearrange their skeletal system then get Mimi fixed by someone who could sew well

OR

- she would proceed to rearrange their skeletal system and mourn for her lost bestie

What if y/n had to use all her weapons

- she's used all of them at least twice, but if she had to use all of them in one event...

- it'd be against an aeon

- she soloed an entire planet with one broken sword, you think she'd need more than one on any other occasion aside from fighting an aeon???

What if y/n was an emanator of the hunt instead of the abundance

- in order to do that, she'd have to do something crazy like commit mass genocide against a bunch of abominations until her mind can't handle dying anymore

- in that event, she'd become an emanator so she can not only resist mara but do some cool gravity hack πŸ’©

What if Jingliu never bought y/n her first sword?

- she would've never diverted her attention to training to become a Cloud Knight

- she would've started throwing hands with her peers until she was booted out of the lyceum and had no other options but to join the Cloud Knights

- in that instance, she'd still find Dan Feng and get training from him but he would give her a spear to use instead

What if y/n was trained by Jingliu instead of Dan Feng

- her and Jing Yuan would be pushing one another to get stronger, but it'd be Jing Yuan keeping y/n out of trouble

- y/n is a bit snappy and stays snappy because she likes the challenge of crossing swords with Jingliu

- she gets her πŸ‘ beat but doesn't really mind

- y/n is a little better at dodging and blocking here...

- very aware of how Jingliu is feeling, so she picks up when her master is nearing the point of becoming stricken with mara

- of course she tries to find ways to mediate this, buying wayyy more steamed buns than the woman can actually eat and doing silly things like shopping for clothes for Mimi and dragging Jingliu out to dinner with her and Jing Yuan

- she still ends up succumbing to mara, and y/n can't bring herself to go after her to kill her

- it goes against plenty of things Jingliu taught her, and she does come to regret it later on

What if y/n's personality was the complete opposite

- cautious, analytical but equally terrified genius

- she's good with various weaponry but tends to get in her head when it comes to combat situations

- it's for that reason she either ends up at the Artisanship Commission, Seat of Divine Foresight, or Divination Commission

- not very confrontational and usually willing to listen to the most bring πŸ’© for hours on end

- will do anything to avoid fighting if she can help it

- even if it means kissing πŸ‘, whatever she has to do

What if y/n had mommy issues

- let's say y/n loses her marbles about her mother being worried and m/n starts being wayyy more overbearing out of fear for her daughter's life

- y/n would eat anywhere but at home, and rather than getting mad about Jing Yuan wanting to marry her mom, she'd be ticked off about him being more interested in her mother than her

- workaholic habits, the more time she spends on expeditions, the less time she had to spend with her mother

- she doesn't hate her mother, really, but she doesn't want to admit that her mother does speak some truth when she snaps about y/n getting killed

- m/n doesn't mean to be so harsh and overbearing on her daughter, but she's just consumed by the fear of losing another child and it clouds her judgement when it comes to speaking to her

- the conflicting feelings wouldn't get sorted out until y/n becomes mara stricken, in which m/n still manages to calm her down but is killed in the attempt

- unfortunately, it haunts y/n for the rest of her life because the situation was never resolved and there's no chance for her to do so anymore

What if y/n never became an emanator of abundance

- she wouldn't have lost her memories

- now the constantly reviving πŸ’© is tricky because something went a little wonky with the prescription y/n munched on without a second thought

- rather than dying and reviving in the same state she died in, y/n constantly gets turned back into a little πŸ‘ kid whenever she sustains fatal injuries

- it doesn't take long for her to return back to normal size, about a day to a week depending on how severe the damage was when she died, but it's still annoying

- it actually helps her the first time around after she gets killed following her first time becoming stricken with mara

- rather than killing her, the inhabitants on the planet are just confused because the maniac killing machine was suddenly replaced by a four year old

- y/n manages to get off the planet herself, operating a ship with little kid hands is rough, and ends up somewhere else

- literally anywhere else

What if y/n and Jing Yuan got married

- HA

- ngl, Jing Yuan would confess first and it would completely bounce off of y/n's skull

- by the time she figures it out, it's been half a year and Jing Yuan's thinking he was rejected

- they get that cleared up and start dating and πŸ’©

- the funniest part? Almost nothing changes from how they usually act

- they're just more open with their feelings *in private* and intentionally a little lovey dovey in a subtle manner

- y/n would probably take a while to ask Jing Yuan to marry her since the mf is busy with work and Yanqing, but she eventually does and everyone is just relieved the idiots finally made it official

- they work hard together, y/n keeping Jing Yuan motivated and ready to work while Jing Yuan is the one making sure y/n doesn't stay up 72 hours straight working

- since
