"How are you so optimistic all the time?" The Russian spoke. "You haven't gotten to any of my vodka have you?"

(Y/n) merely giggled at him. "No. I haven't gotten to your precious vodka."

"Good." Nikolai mumbled.

The girl twirled on the spot, thinking to herself, as Nikolai opened the Mystery Box in hopes to retrieve a better weapon. As the jingle of the box rang out, Nikolai was sneaking glances at the girl.

He found her truly charming, despite the blood smothered on her. Whenever he wasn't feeling himself, he'd seek Y/n.

She knew how to make everyone smile and laugh. She even managed to get a smile out of Takeo once.

"Nikolai~" (Y/n) cooed.

Nikolai's eyes widened once he realised that he was staring at the girl. A scarlet blush dusted his cheeks. Before his weapon was lost inside the Mystery Box, he grabbed it quick.

He seemed to fumble with the gun in his hands, nearly dropping it once or twice.

"Hey." She spoke, catching the Russian's attention. "I want to go get another perk." She held a hand out towards him, "Want to come with me?" She smiled.

Nikolai gripped her hand lightly and, with a spring in her step, let (Y/n) lead the way.

"Oh wait," (Y/n) stopped and turned to face Nikolai. "Where's the green speed perk thingy?" She asked.

Nikolai couldn't help but laugh, with the girl giggling softly. "It's by the maze thingy." He replied.

"Let's go then!" (Y/n) said as she skipped along still clutching the Russians' hand.

She just seemed so fluttery all the time. She was adorable even. Though Nikolai would never admit, he didn't feel the need to drink so much around her. Just listening to her telling a story or hearing her sing was enough to distract his mind from alcohol.

The pair walked across the bridge together, still hand in hand. Along the way, they came across Dempsey. He was evidently smirking once he saw the two. As they walked past the marine, Nikolai turned to look back at him, seeing him grinning like a child.

Finally, (Y/n) had reached the perk machine she was so eager to find. While the girl grabbed herself a drink, Nikolai seemed in a daze as he looked into the distance.

She hopped down the few steps and stood next Nikolai. She looked up at him and smiled; him being much taller than her. (Y/n) saw a grin on his face and in one quick motion she was swept off her feet. Nikolai had an arm around her waist as the other went underneath her. (Y/n) wrapped her legs around his waist.

"Why are you so cute?" She questioned.

"I should be asking you that." Nikolai replied.

(Y/n) rolled her eyes playfully as she planted a sweet kiss to his lips.

"I've wanted to tell you how I feel for a while." (Y/n) confessed, leaving a few kisses on his cheek.

"Why don't you just show me instead?" Nikolai smirked.

They leaned in slowly, their lips colliding and moving in sync. (Y/n) brought a hand up to cup his cheek. Once they pulled away (Y/n) stroked his cheek with her thumb. Her eyes were half-lidded; in a daze.

Nikolai set her down on her feet slowly but engulfed her in a bear-hug instantly, to which she returned. He ran his fingers through her hair.

"I love you, Nikolai."

"I love you too, little one."
