Everything was happening so fast in Baekhyun's eyes. He called Min Hyung about what happened on their way to the hospital.

"Hyung, bring her to Kwangdong Hospital."

Min Hyung's instruction was sure and it left Baekhyun confused. Why do I need to bring her there when we can just go to the nearest one?

Min Hyung was panicking on the other side of the phone. He knows that other doctors can accommodate his sister but he trusts Dr. Kang more. Besides, Dr. Kang is Saemi's doctor ever since she was a kid.

Baekhyun obliged to what he said and told the driver to go to Kwangdong Hospital. When the taxi dropped over the place, Baekhyun quickly give whatever he has on his pocket and carried Saemi out to the emergency room.

The nurses and doctors there took notice of her and it was odd for Baekhyun because they all seem to know Saemi as if she has been a frequent visitor.

"Shin Hae, call Dr. Kang. We have to refer Saemi quickly." One of the head nurse said to the other staff nurse.

A male nurse jumped on the bed where Saemi was laid and started doing CPR. Another nurse checked her vital signs.

"Get the defibrillator, right now."

Baekhyun didn't know what to do. Saemi's facing a life and death situation and he doesn't have a clue on what's happening. He was dreading as he watches them do their work.

"Hyung!" Min Hyung called to get the older's attention just when he got out of the taxi he rode. Baekhyun instantly looked at him and Min Hyung noticed how pale Baekhyun was looking.

He wanted to ask him what exactly happened as to how Saemi had an attack but now is not the time. It would be too much for Baekhyun to take in.

A little later, Dr. Kang arrived and he immediately took charge of the case. The two boys were just standing on the door.

"Min Hyung," Dr. Kang sternly called. Min Hyung went to the doctor and waits for what he will say.

"We have to carry on to the surgery. Or else, she won't make it." Baekhyun heard it. He drove nuts at what the doctor just said, running down his hands on his face. Min Hyung didn't want to be rude and so he also asks for Baekhyun's permission, knowing that he also plays an important part in Saemi's life. Baekhyun subconsciously nodded.

"Okay, doc. Do what you must."

The staff immediately took action and assisted Dr. Kang and pushed the bed to the operating room. Baekhyun and Min Hyung followed them.

What the hell is happening?

"She has a heart disease?" Baekhyun couldn't believe what he just blurted out. They were both waiting outside the operating room with tensed shoulders.

"Y-yes."

"Since when?"

"She's had it ever since we were kids. She got it from our late mother." Min Hyung was actually in doubt if he's even in the position to tell Baekhyun everything he knows. Saemi has kept it a secret from Baekhyun and Min Hyung believes that his sister has a reason as to why she did it.

Baekhyun's shoulders dropped at what he heard. That explains why he has sometimes seen her almost losing breath and clutching her chest. Stupid was an understatement for himself.

Why didn't she tell me?

He badly wants to punch himself for not knowing all this time. He should've taken care of her in any means he could. He should have known.

BAEKHYUN'S POV

I can't take it.

I'm so scared, to be honest. I am so scared of potentially losing her. I know I said that I'm confused of my feelings but everything that happened just made everything clear to me. I can't lose her. I still have a lot of plans for us. She just can't leave while I'm suffering from the emotions and feelings that are taking over me.

"Hyung, it's gonna be alright. She will be fine. Don't worry." Min Hyung patted my shoulder but I gave daggers to him.

"You don't know what you're saying."

How can he say that? Having a heart disease is already a big threat to her life and undergoing a surgery is putting her life at risk even more.
