"I have to go." 

Baekhyun swiftly grabbed his keys and walked to the door, causing Saemi to furrow her eyebrows un confusion.

"I thought you said that it's not safe for you—"

"It's okay now, chippy. I just have to go. There are things I still need to do." 

He walked back to where Saemi was sitting in the living room and flustered her with a peck on the forehead.

Everything was like a puzzle for Saemi. She couldn't even decipher what is going on with Baekhyun. She wasn't dumb. It was obvious that there's some strange strings attached to them by the way Baekhyun acts around her. And she's pretty sure that even Shin Hae was already aware that Baekhyun was hinting something to Saemi.

As soon as he comes out of his apartment, Saemi couldn't help but feel anxious of what could happen. She doubts that everything was already fine. She was sensing some kind of bad energy with what could happen next. But she tried to avert her attention on other things.

Hours passed until the night came. Baekhyun still hasn't come back. She tried calling him, planning on asking him how's everything doing. But he never picked up.

"Why do you look so tensed, Saemi-ya?" Shin Hae sat beside her and rubbed her back, attempting to make her feel better.

"It just doesn't seem right, unnie." Saemi heaves a sigh.

"With what?" 

"I just don't feel right about Baekhyun." Shin Hae's brows raised and a smirk plastered on her face.

"When will you admit that you already like this man?" That question just made Saemi even more anxious not only to what could happen next but what her feelings were really was.

"I don't—"

"Go on. Avoid it. I'm sure you'll just crawl back to where you're really at." Shin Hae's smirk widened at Saemi's unbelievable reaction.

"I wasn't even talking about my feelings. I was pertaining to how off he suddenly leaves."

"I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about, honey. You need to trust Baekhyun." Shin Hae caressed her hair and pats her shoulder to ease how tensed Saemi was feeling.

The next morning came and there was no sign of Baekhyun. No text messages. No calls. Nothing. It's as if he has vanished into thin air without notifying anyone.

Saemi brushed off the thought of Baekhyun permanently leaving her. She was sure that he was just busy with his promotions again and might have chosen to stay in their dorm for it not to be a hassle for him to drive back home.

Saemi and Shin Hae was eating in the dining area when Saemi's phone rang from the living room. She stands up and takes her phone from there and saw Min Hyung's name displayed on the screen.

She picks up the call and immediately heard rugged breaths from the other line, causing her to grow worried.

"Min Hyung?"

"Noona, stay there. Don't let anyone in."

"What's happening? Why? Where are you?"

"Don't look through the windows. Just stay there. Hae Kyeong's on his way to your house and he brought a bunch of men with him. I don't think he's up to no good. And there are lots of girls outside that house you're staying at."

"What?! Min Hyung-a, where exactly are you?"

"I'm at the street corner near Baekhyun hyung's apartment."

"Lee Min Hyung, wh—"

"I'll talk to you later, Noona. Just don't get out and don't make any noise inside."

What the heck is happening?

"Who was that?" Shin Hae asks from the kitchen and Saemi quickly shushed her and told her everything Min Hyung told her in the call.

"What?!" Shin Hae's eyes were widened in shock and was about to look out from the window but Saemi immediately took action and pulled her away from the window.

"Unnie!" She scolded the older who gave her a confused look.

"We need to lie low. They might just barge in if we show any sign of us inside this house."

Why isn't Baekhyun showing up? The questions aren't giving Saemi a break and as they stay quiet the whole time, they get more tensed of what could happen.

Saemi's phone rang and she immediately answered the call from Min Hyung.

"I'm going in. Hurry up and get your things. I'm gonna get you out of there."
