BAEKHYUN'S POV
"Eomma, why are you here?"
Shock is an understatement upon seeing my mother enter our dorm with ease as Suho hyung open the door for her. He was also in a state of amusement when he saw my mother walking past him and straight to where I'm sitting on the couch.
I stood up in attention while she looks at me with an intimidating aura, making me wonder what could possibly be the problem when the last time I saw her, we were actually in good terms.

The gates open once the guards in our house saw my car in front. I pushed the break as I temporarily park in front of the entrance of the house. One of the guards immediately took over it and parked it in the parking lot when I got out of the driver's seat.
"Would you like to explain why you're here?" My mother pierced me a look. She was standing in front of the stairs, wearing her office attire.
"Eomma!" I smiled as I walk my way towards her to give her a hug but she backed away before I could even do so. I chuckled.
"Your father and your sister went to Paris yesterday. Did you know?" There was something in her voice that makes me feel uneasy. She rarely shows her strict side to us and when she does, Baekhee and I knows that we're doomed.
"I see your so busy to not even know what's happening to your own family. Why is that, Byun Baekhyun?" I gulped when I heard her say my whole name. Now, this is really serious.
My sweet mother went to the couch and motioned me to sit on the couch just opposite where she was. And as the obedient son I am, I obeyed.
"What happened? Why didn't you show up on the exact wedding day?" I tried to show a smile but she was really serious. She widened her eyes at me causing me to sigh in defeat.
"Eomma, I don't like to force myself in a marriage that I didn't even want in the first place."
"But Saemi's a wonderful girl. You know that, Baekhyun-a."
"I know. She is." I pursed my lips. Saemi is beyond amazing. But forcing everything for a different reason that our hearts don't want makes it all wrong for us to continue what our parents want. Besides, it's dangerous for Saemi if everything goes in public.
"But, Eomma... It's not right. I don't feel right. I'm not yet ready."
"When will you be ready?" She scoffed. "Their company needs us. This is the only way we can fixโ"
"Are you absolutely sure that this is the only way?" I raised a brow. She couldn't say anything.
"You didn't even consider what would happen to me, to my career, the boys and the fans! Eomma, at some point before you had your business, I was your son. Your son!" I didn't want to raise my voice but my emotions are overpowering me. My mother couldn't look at me in the eyes and kept her head low.
"I-I understand, Baekhyun-a," she said in a low voice.
"I'm sorry if we didn't listen to you and for deciding on our own. It's also my fault for forcing you into this situation."
"It's fine, Eomma. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I didn't mean it."
"It's okay, son. I understand." She stood up from her seat and opened her arms to give me a hug which I gladly took.
"However, you're lucky that your father's not here. Or he would be so furious at you right now." She pulled away and sat beside me.
"Your father tried to get in contact with you but you're too good in hiding. You better find a convincing excuse when he gets back."
"Ah-uh." I shook my head in disagreement. "I'm not gonna show my handsome face to that manโ"
"That's your father. Whether you like it or not, your paths will cross and you won't have any choice but to face him."

And now we're here, procrastinating on what to tell my dad.
"They will arrive on Thursday." I palmed my mouth as I try to make up anything in my mind as I give uncertain looks to my mother who's looking at me with a blank face.
Thursday. I have five days left before they come back. I am sure that they still have some time to rest from their trip and- no. I have to deal with this now or we'll prolong the issue. To heck on what I will have after I talk to my father. He's just my dad. Yeah, dad. I tried to calm myself down by giving myself assuring words. But then I remembered. My dad's like a gorilla when he gets mad.
"Shoot."

"Eomma, I can't do this." I could feel my eyes getting teary as I sit on the couch, waiting for my father's arrival in the house. We're supposed to them up in the airport but I pleaded my mother not to. This is really scaring me.
"Oh please, stop acting like a girl!" My mother slapped me in the arm causing me to cry in exaggeration.
"Tsk, Byun Baekhyun." She suddenly said sternly. I froze from my seat when I heard the gates open.
They are here.
My mother quickly stood on her feet and went to the door to welcome them home while I, on the other hand, was silently praying for my soul to rest in peace as I face the wrath of my father just a few seconds more.
Finally, I heard their footsteps. I went to where my mother was standing.
"Yeobo!" My mother exclaimed and hugged my father once he started walking towards our way. I stayed beside the door and gave Baekha a nervous smile which she returned with a smirk.
"I missed you." I heard my mom whisper to my dad's ear as she clung to his neck. Appa saw me and his face darkened.
"I missed you too, my love." He patted my mom's back before he released from my mother's embrace and walked in front of me. I could my hands getting sweaty.
"Hey, Appa-"
Before I know it, his fist harshly made contact with my precious face. And everything went black.
