OH GODS...it was so much blood, so much blood leaking out the princess' head. The lines of crimson made their path through the cracks of rock of the Holy Sept, meeting the statues of the Seven and staining the soles of the surrounding Septa's who began claiming for their patrons to save the young princess.
they'd curse away the Stranger for being so repugnant as to try to take away such a young soul.

Alicent cried as she clutched her daughter's body closer to her and the news traveled fast as a medical apprentice had approached the Sept once the news of some of the Septa's who ran to alert the realm.
"My Queen, I'm practicing to become a maester. allow me to help." the boy whose age was no more than ten and six said as he bowed.

The guards snickered at him, doubting the poor boy's abilities. Alicent herself had been reluctant as the guards advised her to wait for a maester. The blood of her daughter stained her green gown, and Alicent found herself having little patience for a Maester.
The Queen nodded and the apprentice fell to his knees, his shaking hands scrambling for something in his dirty satchel.

"roll her over." the boy advised and the Queen complied, rolling her daughter face down on her lap. the young apprentice pulled out a vial with a murky liquid and some wraps.
"what do you hold in your hand?" Alicent questioned but the boy was  focused on the task at hand as he allowed a few drops of the mixture to fall on the bleeding wound and wrapping the bandages around Visenya's head.

the air was thick with tension, cold and unforgiving as he whispered unknown words to himselfโ€”a spell almost.
"the princess will wake in a few moments, My Queen." the apprentice informed before slipping into the shadows of the Sept, disappearing into the unwelcoming space.

"We have reasons to believe the princess was subjected to witchcraft, Your Grace." The Maester reported once they were in Visenya's room once more, her eyes fluttering open.

"witchcraft?" Alicent clutched her seven pointed star necklace as she looked at her daughter fearfully.
"the boy lied, My Queen. he was no novice or someone of holy intent. the vial he has used has the common ingredients that witches have used for brewing potions."

"and what course of action should be taken, maester?" Alicent asked wide eyed.
"her heartbeat is feeble, whatever tha-that insolent boy has done to the princess must have a grave punishment." he accused.

"there is no need." Visenya's voice croaked as she sat upon her mattress. "whatever my savior has done has left me feeling rejuvenated, he might not have holy intent but he held no ill when he offered to help me." she claimed. Visenya's hands moved to remove the wraps that matted her stick, reddened hair. "I feel great, truly." she eyed her mother who's mouth opened to say something.

"I still advise a visit to the High Septon, Your Grace." the maester advised with a bow, "I shall ask for the Grand Maester." he claimed before his departure.

"I have no need to be coddled again, mother." Visenya begged, "I have awakened, and I feel great. my savior should be gifted, not punished."

"allow us to be sure something has not been done, Visenya." Alicent persuaded as her cold hands met the silver haired girl's shoulder sympathetically.

in a matter of minutes, High Maester Mellos entered the princess chambers.
"My queen, princess." he bowed, "how do you feel?" he said as he walked towards Visenya, the bandages falling to the floor.

"tremendous." Visenya said apathetically as she allowed the grand maester to touch her, feeling the gash on her head and to his surpriseโ€”it had disappeared, "strange, very strange." he mused to himself.

"what is it, maester?" The Queen asked as she looked at Mellos curiously.
"it appears the wound in the back of the princess' head has disappeared, healed without a trace, Your Grace."

"what?" Visenya asked as her hands moved, her fingers feeling everywhere for the wound to find nothing.
"may I feel your...chest area, princess?" Mellos questioned uncomfortably and Visenya, though she found it strange, nodded.

Mellos hummed as his palm pressed Visenya's chest and back, "breath calmly, princess." he heeded and Visenya obeyed.
"maester Baldric was correct, the princess heartbeat is faint, as if her heart has died out."

"meaning?" Alicent furrowed her brows.

"mayhaps the potion has plagued the princess' body, making her ill." the maester said as he took the princess's wrist into his grasp, and there her veins laid black, concealed by the green sleeves of her gown.

"I've said already that I feel fi-"

the princess and the queen noticed this as well, Alicent stepped back in horror while Visenya, though afraid looked enthralled by the look of it.
Mellos brought a dagger forth, "this will only pinch a little, princess." he whispered as the blade met Visenya's wrist.
the girl hissed as her face pulled into a frown as the tip of the dagger moved inside her skin, cutting deep into her flesh. blood flood into the surface of her arm, drops of it falling down her dress and it was also dripping from the maester's blade.

looks of horror flashed their faces, there it was. blood, dark like the midnight sky, black like the color of a dragon's. Visenya's hand swiped against the inside of her arm, looking for the dark reddish coloration but she could find none. nothing but the dark liquid that flooded her veins.

dragon's blood.
