During the beginning of class, Seiren couldn't really focus.

Her eyes would blur then unblur after a few seconds. She was just tired and running on medicine. Sae forced her to continue taking the horrid liquid until she was fully recovered. He even watched her take the spoonful or otherwise he'd forcefully pour it into her mouth. Seiren and Rin had experience with that, and she wasn't taking any chances.

"So if anyone could explain the definition.." her teacher's voice would fade in and out during the entire class period. Seiren was just sure it was the lack of sleep but she really couldn't focus. She finally decided to drop her head onto her desk, feeling slightly better. Maybe it was the top light irritating her senses. The non-stop studying even while recovering from her sickness took a toll on her entire body. She should've listened to Sae and rested.

"We've also been informed about a new student.." Seiren was dozing offโ€” Wait? New student? Isn't this class full already? Her empty thoughts suddenly coming to a halt. She looked up from her desk, glancing around the classroom. She didn't see anyone out of particular. The students whispered about the news. Same old, same old. The guys hoped it was a cute girl to add to their long list of crushes while the girls prayed for a cute boy to add to their list as well.

Seiren could only sigh, going back to her daze, leaning back into her chair and staring up at the ceiling. She never really noticed how bright the bulbs were. The door slowly slid open which made her eyes dart over to the girl stepping inside. "Welcome! Please introduce yourself." Once the brunette turned around, Seiren could feel the color drain out of her skin. You have to be kidding me.

The girl standing in front of the class could spot Seiren as if she were some sort of monster. Her eyes were only on Seiren's, smiling gently. "I'm Kimiyo Yamada! It's nice to meet you all!" Go home?! Seiren watched as the teacher pointed somewhere in her direction, hoping Kimiyo wouldn't say anything stupid to her but boy was she wrong. Seiren let out a deep breath, deciding to lay her head back down.

"Oh! Renny! I didn't know you came to this school? It's been like two years right?" The mention of her nickname brought attention to the two girls. "Don't talk to me.." Seiren muttered, feeling her pat her back. "We'll talk after class!" Kimiyo was told to sit behind Seiren. The Itoshi could wish for anything more than to go to the same school as the girl who turned her over.

โ€”โ€”โ€”

"Seiren!"

She looked up to the sound of his voice. They were going to walk to class together, something they slowly started to do ever since their project. "Yoichi." Seiren sat up, grabbing her bag until Kimiyo stopped her. "Hey let's talk? Please?" Seiren could recognize those same eyes. The same one that carried nothing but envy. Isagi almost fell reaching Seiren, clearing his throat before patting his pants down.

"Awe! You're cute."

"Huh?" Isagi coughed up.

"Excuse me?" Seiren raised a brow.

Both Seiren and Isagi had looks of confusion written all over their faces but her teal eyes might've looked a bit more green when she saw Isagi become flustered at the compliment.

"But yeah, we should talk Seiren. It's important." Kimiyo went to grab the girl's hand, only to be smacked away. "I don't want to talk to you. Leave me alone." Seiren sharpened her gaze, finding it better to excuse herself than to continuing to drag this conversation. Isagi followed her out the classroom as questions ran through his head, but he thought it was better to avert the topic.

"Wanna come over?"

"For what weirdo?"

"I don't know. I wanna hang out with you."

Seiren pushed him aside, speeding up her pace all while Isagi was left behind. "That's mean..!" he muttered under his breath, catching up to the girl. He failed to see how she was looking at the opposite side of him. He failed to notice the bit of blush on her pale skin and he was clueless to the fact that his words caused a toll on her. "You're weird." she said. "Okay.."

"Don't you have practice?" Seiren carefully glanced his way, finding him right by her side again. "Uh yeah but afterwards we can hang out." Isagi nudged her arm with his. "Sure I guess." she side eyed him. "Cool." he said. He glanced back. The question was itching at him. First Seiren barely even spares Kimiyo a glance when she spoke to her and then just now Seiren almost tells the girl off? Isagi carefully eyes the middle child.

"Just ask."

"So who is she?"

"She was my best friend."

"I'm sensing deep rooted lore."

"Oh you're in for a treat later on Yoichi." Seiren managed to laugh, shaking her head. "What? Why not tell me now? Tell me now!" Isagi pleaded, grabbing her hand until she pulled away. "No..No! I'd rather tell you in private. First I have to find Rin." she muttered, turning to head down the stairs onto the first year floor. The sister immediately spotted her younger brother, making her way to him.

"Rinnie. Guess what."

"Please leave.."

Rin stared at her, his eyes wide after he turned around. Seiren slowly squinted at him before peering over his shoulder. Isagi stood confused as he watched Rin try to block her view. "What do you need?" Rin then held her still yet she could see the figure of a girl behind him. "Oh?" Seiren gently tapped his elbow. "Shut up." he muttered. "What is it?" he asked again.

"Be on the lookout for the 'poisonous potato.'"

Poisonous potato..? Isagi tiled his head.

"Wait what? She's here?"

"Like a creeper who randomly spawns by your side.."

Are they talking in Minecraft terms? Rin plays Minecraft? Isagi wanted to laugh but soon enough the bell rung and they had to get to class. Seiren and Rin finished up their conversation which led to Isagi and Seiren soon splitting up once they reached the second floor. "See you for lunch?" he said. "Yeah. See you." Seiren was on her feet. She didn't want anything to do with that girl. All the built up trust Seiren had for Kimiyo tore into pieces in just one day.

The possibility of Kimiyo trying to get at Seiren was high and she didn't want any part of it. Upon going to class, she was scolded by her teacher for being late but Kimiyo wasn't there. She was free for one period. Once she sat in her chair, her vision began to blur again. Seiren thought she was just tired and decided to rest her head on top of the desk. Her eyes closed and she was out.

โ€”โ€”โ€”

Isagi sat in the empty desk in front of her, his elbow propped on her desk, his chin resting on his palm while the deep waves of his eyes wandered across her sleeping face. He waited at his classroom for her but she never came so he went to Seiren. Only for Isagi to find her sleeping. He originally planned to wake her up but a minute passed by then two and now suddenly lunch was almost over.

The door slid open but he didn't pay much mind to it, students came in and out anyways, never bothering the two. "You're Isagi right? Isagi Yoichi?" the voice was unfamiliar to him, averting his gaze over to the girl. He didn't know her personally but he semi-knew Seiren so if she hated her then he did too. "You are?" his tone slightly irritated. Kimiyo pulled a chair next to him, her eyes darting over to Seiren.

"I don't know what she's told you but she has the story all wrong."

"She hasn't told me anything and I'd prefer it if you kept it down. She's sleeping."

Kimiyo held her tongue back, keeping the gentle smile on her face. "She never sleeps in class." he muttered, his eyes falling back on the girl. "Are you her boyfriend?" she hummed. "Why does it matter to you?" Isagi sighed. "Just asking. Seiren normally doesn't even talk to guys or just anyone in general. She must like you Yoichi." Kimiyo attempted to pat his arm but he swatted her hand away. "You can call me Isagi and don't touch me."

"So is that a yes to my question?"

"It's a no. We're just friends if you really care."

Isagi didn't spare Kimiyo a glance. He then checked the time on his phone, realizing lunch was about to end. He stood up, walking to Seiren's side and began nudging her arm. "Hey, lunch is about to end." he said. Kimiyo stood up and left, deciding not to give the two an extra ounce of attention. Seiren stirred awake, a yawn escaping her lips as she was met with the soft smile Isagi carried whenever he was around her.

"I forgot..I had like three hours of sleep last night.." she mumbled, pushing herself to stand while he kept his hands out for her to hold, just incase she stumbled on her feet. "I was fighting sleep this entire morning.." Seiren rubbed her eyes. "Get some rest when you get home." Isagi held onto her arm after he grabbed her bag, the two walking out of the classroom. "You don't want to listen to my lore?" she joked.

"No wait I do! You can sleep after."

"I'd rather just go home and sleep.."

"This is cruel. Make sure you eat though. You just missed lunch."

"You didn't wake me..?!"

"You just said you had three hours of sleep..?" As the two walked down the hall to get to their next class, Kimiyo watched from behind. She wasn't too sure if he was just lying to her or if they really were friends. Anyways, she had something up her sleeve like she always had. Just as they turned the corner, a familiar voice spooked her. "Get out the middle of the hallway." she turned her head back, watching the older Itoshi brush past her as if it were nothing. He was heading towards the stairs until his path was blocked by her.

Sae then came to a halt, looking over his shoulder. "Poisonous potato.." he uttered. "Excuse me?" Kimiyo scoffed. "Yeah.." he then faced her, stepping closer to the girl. "I better not see you near Seiren and Rin." Sae eyed her. "Wow. What a nice way to start a conversation with your ex." she rolled her eyes while Sae shot her a disgusted look. "We were fifteen. You weren't worth my time so move on. I know you miss me." he shrugged his shoulders.

He was lucky the halls were empty otherwise news about the new second year who dated their star athlete would've spread like wildfire. Kimiyo itched to say something else. "How's Seiren?" she asked. "Better since you showed your true colors. Now leave." Sae stood still, his eyes on her like a hawk. "I said I was sorryโ€”"

"You became best friend's with my sister to date me then bullied her in secret and you thought I would've been okay with it once I found out?" Sae furrowed his eyebrows. "You're sick. If you try anything with Seiren she won't hold back. She'll probably do you worse than everything you did to her so stop wasting my time with your excuses and irrelevant questions about my sister. Don't even look at Rin either." the boy gave her one last look before the bell rung.

Sae felt the energy pour out of him. He was having a decent enough day until just now. He was sure Seiren already saw her, possibly Rin too but he had to confirm it for himself. As the halls got more crowded, it got harder to look for his siblings yet he saw Rin by the door of his classroom. Almost like he was waiting for someone.

"Rin."

"I'm going to kick you and Renny."

"Okay. Poisonous potato."

"Yeah I know..Seiren knows. She told me."

Sae was about to say something until a girl appeared next to Rin. His eyes traveled to her then to his brother who was clearly trying to hide the flustered expression on his face. "Is this your girlfriend?" Sae decided to ask. The girl immediately went red. "We're..I'm just aโ€” You know what! Class is starting..!" she chuckled nervously, immediately rushing inside the classroom. Rin shook his head. "Go away. You and Seiren. Go away.." he muttered, his heart pounding. For a tall teenager, he sure was extremely shy.

"Why is everything so weird today..?" he sighed.
