Tessa's Apartment the same night

The same night at dinner Y/N sat at the table with both Tessa and Stewart who sat across from Y/N and Tessa sat in the middle there a long awkward silence between the three of them

"So Y/N how's the food" Tessa asked breaking the silence and Y/N looked down at his plate

and he had to admit the food was really good

"It's not bad"

"That's good to hear because Stewart here is a high class chief and he even owns his own restaurant right babe" Tessa says looking at her boyfriend who quickly nodded

"Uh rush I even chopped some vegetables. That’s practically a black belt in cooking, right, Y/N?" Stewart says looking at Y/N and Tessa inwardly face palmed and Y/N raised a brow

"Sure, if there were such a thing as the “Karate of Cooking" Y/N comments taking another bite of his food

"Good one! Maybe I should sign up for karate classes, too. Maybe you could teach me a few moves" Stewart says chuckling nervously and Y/N glaced at Tessa who nodded and Y/N sighs

"I guess I could show you a basic stance, but I don’t think grocery bags are very threatening" Y/N comments making Tessa rubs her temples in frustration

"So, Y/N, how’s your training been going? I know the tournament is coming up" Tessa suddenly says trying to redirect the conversation

"It's going pretty well Sensei Lawrence has been putting us through the ringer, and a few black eyes. The usual" Y/N answered

"Oh! Do they really hurt? I mean, the whole fighting thing sounds intense. I used to do a little boxing in college. Nothing big, but I thought it was pretty cool" Stewart suddenly says jumping into the conversation

"Yeah, I’m sure your college boxing prepares you for a world karate tournament with some of the best fighters in the world" Y/N says dryly

"Come on, enough with the rudeness Stew is just trying to connect with you" Tessa says glaring at her nephew getting tired of his attitude against her boyfriend

It's alright Tess.......So, what’s your favorite thing in karate? Is it... kicking?" Stewart asked

"Karate isn't all about punching and kicking it's about self defense and finding balance within yourself" Y/N says wisely

"Wow your really wise for a young man" Stewart commented genuinely

"Thanks I guess" Y/N says and Tessa smiled slightly

"I, uh, totally appreciate karate Very... effective self-defense. You know, being a dad someday... I would want my kids to know how to defend themselves" Stewart says and Y/N raised a brow

"Not planning on being a father with my aunt’s blessing, are you?" Y/N asked making Tessa and Stewart blush

"Let’s not rush into that just yet! I mean, we’re having a great dinner here, right?" Stewart says

"Well, it’s definitely... unique?" Y/N mumbled

After dinner with Y/N

Y/N was laying in his bed and he and to get up to use the bathroom but when he overheard his aunt and Stewart talking

"I'm so sorry about him it takes him a while get to know people" he hears Tessa say

"Hey it's totally fine when I was his age my mom brought her boyfriend home and me and him didn't get along so well either"

"Yeah but I get why he's acting like this towards you"

"Is it because of your last boyfriend?" Stewart asked and Tessa was silent for a little while till she spoke up

"Yes......after HE left my life I was alone for a long time and the only people I had in my life was my sister and Y/N"

"I'm sorry you went though that Tessa but I promise you I'm not like that and I'd never let anyone hurt you" Stewart says as he caressed her face and she looked up at him and smiled

"I know" she says hugging him and Y/N saw how happy they both looked and he actually started to feel bad that he treated Stewart like crap at dinner

"Maybe he's not a totally bad guy" Y/N mumbled to himself

Larusso Household the next day

Y/N alongside Tessa, Moon and even Stewart where at the LaRusso household for Johnny and Carmen's gender reveal

"You better hope for a boy Raising girls is a nightmare" YaYa says putting balloons on the table

"Wow. Thanks, Mama" Carmen says sarcastically and Sam was moving some flowers with some trouble and Tory came over to help her

"Here. Let me help you" Tory says helping her hold up the flower tray

"Oh, thanks" Sam says as the two of them carried the flowers

"I don't think I'm ever gonna get used to that" Miguel says

"Better than trying to tear each other's faces off" Robby commented as the two boys walked over to Y/N and Moon

"So Y/N how's it going between you and Stewart" robby asked Y/N who lets out a sigh

"It's been weird he seems like a pretty decent guy"

"Tessa told me that he owns his own restaurant and his a professional chief" Miguel says

"Yeah but just because he can cook doesn't mean he can my aunt happy"
Y/N says looking over to see Stewart and Tessa taking to Carmen and Amanda

"Babe you need to stop being so negative from what it looks like Tessa is happy and that should make you Happy" Moon says and Y/N could see the happiness in Tessa's eyes

"Look man I get it, it was pretty weird when I found out Sensei and my mom where a thing it was pretty weird at first but I learned to get over it both my mom and sensei's sake and now look they are having a baby together" Miguel says to Y/N

Y/N thought about what Miguel said and once again looked at both Tessa and Stewart seeing there hands interlocked

"Yeah maybe your right" Y/N says as suddenly there was a loud BOOM making everyone gasp and Johnny walked into the kitchen with some pink paint on his shirt

"The package came early" Carmen says looking over Johnny

"Guess it's a girl" Johnny says with happiness in his voice

"I can't wait to meet her And for her to meet her dad" Carmen says hugging Johnny

"It's a girl!" Amanda says happily slapping Chozen's shoulder

"Ow" the master Sensei says rubbing his shoulder

"Where's Daniel?" Amanda Asked Johnny

"Oh, yeah, uh" Johnny began to say as soon enough Daniel himself walked into the kitchen with a box and pink paint all over his face surprising everyone But ultimately everything laughed

"I told him not to move" Johnny says jokingly as everyone continues to laugh

"I'm too old for this shit" Daniel says with a chuckle of his own

The Next Day Miyagi-Do Dojo

As everyone was stretching and getting ready for training both Sam and Tory where practicing kata

That's when Johnny walked over to the two of them

"All right, all right. You got the kata down. Let's see you use it Fighting positions" Johnny tells the both of the as they get into fighting stances

"Ready? Fight!" Johnny yells but neither Sam or Tory moved

"Come on, fight" Johnny yells and Tory throws a lady jap but Sam lazily moved out of the Way

"What is this, Ice Capades?" Johnny asked as Sam throws a lazy kick which Tory had no problem dodging

"That's enough. Fighting stance Twenty-five reverse punches. Ready?" Johnny tells the both of them

"Yes, Sensei." Both girls say

"Begin" Johnny ordered

"Hai!" Both Sam and Tory yell as they throw quick air jabs.

Off to the side both Miguel and Robby watched their girlfriends and over came Devon

"Your girlfriends are broken What the hell did you guys do?" Devon asked the two

"We didn't do anything They're just friends now"

"Yeah, they went from war to Cold War to peace" Miguel says

"Yeah, piece of crap fighting" Devon says as she saw Y/N stretching and walked over to him

"Y/N" she called out getting his attention

"Oh uh hey Dev what's up?" He asked her as he continued his stretches

"Look I know I haven't exactly been in Miyagi-Do that long and I get that Miyagi-Do is about avoiding conflict,
but if Tory and Sam aren't gonna go hard

during training, how are they gonna lead us to victory at the tournament?" Devon complained and Y/N looked over at the two girls in question seeing them throwing fast strikes

"Dev look I get it they aren't normally how they are but look at the bright side of it they use to have so much bad blood  they're still Figuring out there friendship ya know"

"Yeah but look at them they're soft now and-"

"They aren't soft Dev they're just being cautious and there's nothing wrong with that and like I said I get it for me it's still pretty weird to see them getting along so well but at the end of the day we need them to win the tournament and when that time comes i know they'll put on there game faces" Y/N tells her reassuring her and Devon doesn't say anything but nodded as they saw Tory walking over to them

"Hey Y/N" Tory called out

"Oh hey Tory what's-"

"I wanna spar" she says cutting him off surprising him and Devon

"Uh what's now?" He questions

"I said I wanna spar how about it?" She asked and he could tell by the look on her face she was serious

"Um why not ask Robby?" Y/N asked her and Tory rolled her eyes

"Do you really think my boyfriend would go all out against me?" She asked him crossing her arms

"Good point but look Tory I don't think that's a good idea"

"Why do you think I can't handle it?" She asked with a smirk

"Well no it's just-"

"Or do you think you won't win" Tory says her smirk getting bigger and Y/N looked at Devon who only shrugged

"Okay fine" Y/N says as both him and Tory got on the sparring deck and it don't take long for them to gain a audience

"Oh man Tory and Y/N are gonna fight" says Mitch

"The ex queen cobra vs the Miyagi-Do warrior" Chris commented

"I wonder who's gonna win?" Questions Bert

"My money's on Y/N" nated responded

"You sure about this Tory?" Y/N questions

"Yep and let's make it more interesting instead of a point match whoever can knock down the other first wins sound good?" She questions

"Alright sounds good to me and if your sure let's do this" Y/N says getting into a fighting stance as did Tory

"Ready and fight" Devon Says

Tory quickly throws a high kick which Y/N ducked under and he goes for a kick at her midsection but Tory blocked the hit and Tory throws two strikes but Y/N blocked the two attacks with the drum technique and he goes low to sweep her but she lifts her leg to dodge the sweep and while he was still low Tory goes to kick him the face but Y/N quickly jumped back to dodge the kick but Tory didn't give him a chance as she ran at him with a punch but he easily caught her fist and he goes for a punch but Tory caught his arm and and he tries To punch with the other arm but she used his momentum against him and flipped him onto his side winning the sparring match.

Everyone was shocked even both Miguel and hawk where shocked but Robby only smiled slightly at the win

"The winner of the match is Tory" says Devon as everyone clapped for Tory who had a happy look on her face

"Good match Barnes" Tory says holding out her hand to Y/N who looked up at her with a smirk taking her hand

"You too Nicoles" Y/N says as Tory was soon surrounded by all of the Miyagi-Do's congratulating her and Y/N made his way off the sparring Deck

"That sucks man" hawk says

"Yeah I could have sworn you had her, you had a free shot a couple of times" says Miguel

"Well you win some and you lose some ya know" Y/N says winking at the two and walked away

"Hey Y/N" Y/N turned to see Robby with a smile on his face

"What's up?"

"Thanks for ya know letting her win" Robby says and Y/M didn't even try to deny it since it was Robby

"No problem from what it looks like she needed the win" he says as both of them see Tory getting swamped and congratulated

Miyagi-Do Dojo after training

Now wearing training was over Y/N made his way out of the dojo now in regular clothes he sees Tory sitting on the sparring deck and he walked over to her

"Hey Tory" he greeted

"Oh hey Y/N" she greeted back

"Where's Robby?" He asked looking around

"Still inside talking to Miguel something about taking me and Larusso out on a proper double date" she says making
Y/N chuckle

"Speaking of Sam I never thought I’d see the day when you’d actually get along with her" he says taking a seat next to her

"Yeah, I didn’t think so either. It’s still a little weird, though" Tory says uncomfortably

"Weird yeah I can understand that after everything you two have been though I mean, you’ve been throwing punches together in training well somewhat" he says making both of them chuckle

"I guess it’s more like… I don’t know, it feels different. In Cobra Kai, we were always focused on winning and proving ourselves. Here, it’s more about growth and, like, teamwork" Tory says

"That’s what Miyagi-Do always taught us. It’s not just about fighting; it’s about finding balance and I feel like deep down you're found that balance" Y/N in a proud tone making Tory smile

"I guess can see that now. Larusso challenges me to think about why I react the way I do. It’s pretty eye-opening seeing that scar on her arm it's a reminder of the person I was" Tory says in a shameful tone

"Hey don't beta yourself over it The whole rivalry thing gets exhausting. It’s nice to have a break from all that tension and have everyone on the same side"
Y/N says trying to get her spirits up

"It’s still strange though. I mean, we’ve had our differences. But I guess the dojo has a way of bringing people together in a weird karate way" she ate in a more joking tone making Y/N chuckle

"Exactly! It’s about more than just karate. It’s about learning from each other and overcoming our past" Y/N tells her

"Sometimes I worry about what others think. Like are they really okay with me being here? I mean, I came from Cobra Kai" Tory says and Y/N playfully scoffed

"Oh please did you not see how everyone reacted when you beat me today everyone congratulated you....It’s a new chapter for all of us. As long as you put in the effort and respect what this dojo stands for you'll be okay" Y/N says and Tory smiled at his words

"Thanks, Y/N. It feels good to be accepted, especially after everything" Tory says smiling

"You’ve got this, Tory. Just keep being yourself, and don’t let the past define you. We’re all working on ourselves here" Y/N tells her and to his surprise Tory gave him a quick hug

"Thanks Y/N for everything" Tory says breaking the hug

"Hey Tory you ready?" Came the voice of Robby and Tory nodded to her boyfriend before looking at Y/N

"I'll see you tomorrow at training?" She asked

"Of course" he says back as Tory left with Robby

Later that day Tessa's Apartment

Y/N was exhausted after today's training was ready to relax he entered his aunt's apartment

"Weird the doors usually locked....Hey aunt Tess I'm home" he says walking into the living room but he instantly regretted it when he saw both his aunt and Stewart in a awkward position on the couch and he instantly covered his eyes

"OH MY GOD Y/N" Tessa yells as both her and Stewart separated from each other

"Uh sorry I didn't mean to....I didn't know you guys....I'll just go to my room" Y/N says quickly walking to his room and closing the door

Y/N's room sometime Later

Y/N was chilling in his room scrolling on her phone trying to forget what he saw earlier that's the one thing he'd never thought he'd see.

"Hey Y/N can I come in?" Came the voice of his aunt

"Uh yeah come on in" Y/N says awkwardly as Tessa walked in

"Uh hey" she greeted awkwardly

"Hey" he says back awkwardly and the room was silence for a while till Tessa spoke up

"Look Y/N I'm so sorry had to see that I-"

"It's fine aunt Tess you're a adult I have no right to be upset at you" Y/N says cutting her off

"I.....I just don't want you to get the wrong idea about Stewart" she she's and Y/N looked at her with a raised brow

"Don't worry I getting get any wrong ideas I don't really have the time to process everything before I bolted in here" he says making her chuckle and there a knock on the door they both look to see Stewart

"Uh hey may I come in?" He asked and Tessa looked at Y/N who looked back at her and then at Stewart and nodded and Stewart entered the room

"Hey uh Y/N I sorry you had to see-"

"It's fine like I told aunt Tess your both adults and you can do what you want" Y/N tells him

"That's a relief but hey me and Tessa have been talking and she told me how much a karate expert you are"

"Is that so?" Y/N looking at his aunt who looked away sheehly

"Yeah being the all valley champ is a big deal....I mean I did some Karate back in the day in college"

"Oh that's....cool I guess" Y/N says trying to make actual conversation which made Tessa smile

"I actually know a few moves myself. You want to see?" Stewart asked making Tessa looked at him with shock and Y/N with a raised brow

"Wait do me and You spar?" Y/N asked

"Hell Yeah! Why not I can show you my "signature moves" Stewart tells them

"Uh babe Y/N actually just got back from training so he might be"

"This could be fun!" Y/N says with a smirk surprising his aunt and even Stewart

"Awesome Alright, let's have a little sparring match then" Stewart says as
Y/N kept his smirk and Tessa and a nervous look on her
