A/N: Hey! I know it's been a while and I've been so busy with school, homework and life so I haven't had time to write. I've also been obsessed with playing Genshin Impact. I started playing about a week ago and have enjoyed it a lot. I'm a little sad I couldn't get Zhongli and will now be crying myself to sleep tonight, but it's ok.
I looked over my first initial notes of this chapter and realized I didn't like the plot at all. Therefore, I switched things up and took the story in a direction I much rather prefer.
There is a minor manga spoiler when Y/N is watching tv. Specifically a volleyball match. If you do not wish to be spoiled just skip it.
I hope you didn't wait too too long and please enjoy the chapter!~
———
It was the morning after the twins' large fight, which you had no idea even happened. It was a warm, sunny Saturday. You got to sleep in and enjoyed the warmth of your bed as the sunlight peeked through your curtains.
"Huuuuuh..." You yawned tiredly as your eyes slowly opened. Glancing around, you noticed your window slightly opened, the cool summer breeze blowing into your room. You sat up and rubbed your eyes to fully wake up. Grabbing your phone lazily from the nightstand, you check what time it was. The screen read 8:30am.
You reluctantly got up and out of your room...
only after sleeping for 15 more minutes.
"Good morning, mom." You said taking notice of your mother sat in the living room watching tv. She turned to you and smiled softly.
"Mornin' honey."
Your eyes suddenly widened when you looked at the table. Specifically what was played on the table.
"I figured you might want something different fro breakfast." Your mother interjected and grinned slyly.
Your eyes stared down the thick, fluffy pancakes with an assortment of berries and syrup laid on top. You looked back up to your mom's smug face and back down. A creepy, little smile grew on your face and you sat down quickly.
"Thanks mom!" You shouted out to the living room.
You didn't hesitate to grab the fork and knife, slicing into the pancake. You stabbed the slice and gobbled it up. Your taste buds were in heaven and your eyes watered in delight. You eagerly sliced the rest of it and devoured the rest of the pieces. After finishing the first pancake, you called out to your mother if you had permission to eat the rest.
You walked out to the living room and thanked your mom once again for her delicious cooking.
"No problem N/N (nickname). I'm going to head out soon, I've got errands to run." She mentions and gets up from the couch.
"Oh, you do? When will you be getting back?" You asked curiously.
"Sometime in the late afternoon or early evening. Around dinner I'd say." She answered thinking deeply, holding her chin. She waved you off and headed upstairs to get dressed. You plopped down on the couch and switched the tv channel to something other than the news.
You momentarily stopped on the sports channel. You immediately recognized the sport airing was a volleyball match. It was a Brazilian team against an American one. You watched for a bit and noticed Brazil's team was making fantastic plays. One player however, stood out quite well. The back of his jersey read the name, Romero.
Eventually you got bored of it and found a channel airing some anime. You got up during a commercial before the newest episode of (fave anime) started playing. You ran to the fridge and grabbed a yakult, taking a straw and stabbing it in. You hurried back to the couch and sat down. You made it just in time for the episode to start.
As the opening played you heard you mom walk down the stairs. You looked over at her in the hallway as she threw some things in her purse.
"See ya later mom!"
"See ya later alligator." She replied. The jingle of her keys sounded out as the door swiftly opened and closed. You heard her start up the car and it soon faded out as she finally left.
You focused your attention back to the tv screen and completely forgot about everything as you got absorbed into the show.
It was later in the afternoon when you'd already showered and changed out of your pyjamas, when a notification caught your attention.
Osamu 🍙❤️
Osamu:
Can Suna and I come over?
Y/N:
Of course you can
Read 12:13
You were mildly surprised Suna would be coming over as well, but having him over would make things more fun. It would also be the first time Suna's visited your place. You only waited a few minutes until you heard the ring of the doorbell. Your legs swung over the couch and landed on the ground with a soft thud. The pitter-patter of footsteps could be heard through the quiet hallway.
Swinging the door open, you greeted your friends. "Hey Suna, it's great to see you."
He simply nodded in response.
Still a man of few words huh? You thought.
You shook your head with a smile and turned to Osamu. That was when you noticed his patched up face and glum expression.
"Samu? What the hell happened to you!?"
His gaze stayed downward. "Nothing, just Tsumu.."
You sighed pinching the bridge of your nose. "You promised me you wouldn't start fights with him as much. I hate seeing you two get hurt." You grumbled in a scolding tone.
"Old habits die hard. Plus, it's entertaining." Suna interjected, ending with a shrug and sideways glance to Osamu. Osamu looked at him and tilted his head to the side.
"Yeah, I can't help it if Tsumu started it. It was an unavoidable fight."
"What was so important you had to argue and take punches to the face from Atsumu?" You questioned the grey haired boy.
'You' His mind shouted out. Instead, he settled for,
"I don't wanna talk about it..." He trailed off, not meeting your eyes.
You noticed his desperation in avoiding the topic and decided not to press any further. You shook your head to free yourself from your thoughts. You stepped aside and gestured your hand for the boys to enter. without wasting time, they got through the doorway and kicked off their shoes, sliding on some slippers.
"Let's head to the living room, yeah?" You suggest. No one makes a complaint, or any sound at all. These two were the masters of being expressionless and reserved. You shrug and lead them to the living room.
"You guys want anything to drink?" You ask standing by the doorway.
"You got ramune?" Suna spoke up.
"Course I do!"
"I'll take a blueberry one." Suna requested. You took a mental note and looked to Osamu.
"And you, Samu?"
"I'll have an orange like usual." He replied.
"Ok! I'll get myself a (fave flavour) one."
You disappeared into the kitchen, throwing the fridge door open. The sound of it ricocheting because of its hinges nearly made you jump. Guess you were a little too eager. You reached in and grabbed the three bottles and returned to the living room.
"Any games do ya wanna play?" You asked the boys, grabbing the stack of them by the tv.
"I'm cool with Mariokart and Smashbros." Suna piped up.
"Same and how about some Wiisports...?" Osamu added with a glint in his eyes.
"Sure!"
"Oh my god! Can you stop with those fucking turtle shells!" You screeched as Suna swiftly passed you and chuckled airily next to you.
You threw him a glare but he didn't seem to notice or care. You r head turned back to the tv and you felt relief. You finally had control of (your go to racer). Just as you started going, a banana peel came your way.
"Samu! Can you not!" This time you whipped to the right and shouted at Osamu. He didn't look at you but a small smirk grew on his face. You wanted to slap it righto ff his face.
"Sorry N/N, no can do."
You felt your cheeks heat ups and you backed away from Osamu a bit. You watched as his eyes slowly turned to look at you, but you slapped him on the arm and faced the tv again.
To no surprise, you were dead last. Suna was first and Osamu was second.
You guys moved on to Wiisports and you were the champion of bowling.
"Look at me go! I'm gonna get another strike." You cheered as you released the bowling ball and yet again, you were right.
"Stop trying to brag. You lost every serious round in Mariokart and Smashbros." Osamu vocalized. You spun toward him and raised a brow.
"Samu, you know that I don't resort to violence. But! If I have to, I will throw this remote at you." You threatened.
"Calm down, Y/N. It's my turn to go, so if you don't mind sitting your ass down." Suna spoke up. Your mouth formed an 'o' and you quietly sat down.
"Who knew it was so easy to shut you up, haha." Osamu mumbled and chuckled lightly.
"Shut it!" You yelled.
After hours of gaming, you decided to just watch some anime and movies. Suna took up one side of the couch and Osamu, the other. You were left sitting on the carpeted floor with a blanket. Thankfully Osamu let you sit in between and rest your head against his legs. You were half asleep and about to drift off fully.
The sound of the door opening brought the three of your heads to look into the hall. A woman, with h/l, h/c hair, a kind face, wearing jeans, a t-shirt, some sneakers, and a purse strewn across her body, was seen.
"I'm home!" She called out. Her hair swung around as she turned her head to the couch in the living room.
"I see you've got some friends over." She said with a smile.
You pointed to Suna and introduced him to your mom.
"This is Suna Rintarou. Suna, this is my mom."
Suna gave a small bow from where he was sat. When his head raised, you could see a small, soft smile on his face.
"Nice to meet you L/N-san." He stated.
"Likewise. But please, just call me M/N (Mothers Name). " She waved her hand downward and her eyes closed as she smiled.
"Well, would you boys be interested in staying for dinner? I've got to get the groceries from the car and cook since it's a bit early." Your mother wondered.
"I like your delicious cooking auntie, so of course I'll stay."
"I don't live too far from here and don't need to go home yet. I wouldn't mind having dinner here."
You let the boys watch on the tv or play games while you helped your mom bring things in. You were carrying two heavy bags full of food when she talked to you.
"N/N, you don't need to help me. I've got this handled and you have friends over." Your mom insisted. You simply shook your head and set the bags down in the kitchen.
"It's fine mom. I like helping you out from time to time. They don't need me there to pass time anyways." You concluded.
"Fine." Your mom finally caved in.
"Samu, Suna! It's time to eat!" You shouted in the direction of the living room. Soon enough you heard footsteps quickly making their way to the kitchen. Their eyes looked at the island with fragrant dishes and took their seats. You were sat in front of Osamu and your mom was across from Suna.
For todays dinner you and your mom made: (INSERT THE DELICOUS MEAL MAMA Y/N PREPARED WITH HER DEAR DAUGHTER)
All three of you were filled to the brim with food. You all got up and took your dishes to the sink. Your mother was determined to do them herself and because you felt lazy, you were quite okay with it.
"I should get going now. I don't live too far away from you guys, but I should make the trip back now." Suna mentioned.
You nodded and lead him to the front door, Osamu following closely behind. He slipped on his shoes and stepped outside. The sun was still up, but close to setting as it was summertime. He waved goodbye to you both and headed off. Shutting the door, you yawned loudly.
"Tired already?" you looked up at Osamu and nodded.
"Gaming with you guys and eating so much is exhausting." You chided him, tilting your head up and sticking your nose high in the air.
He chuckled lightly gestured his hand back.
"I can stay for a bit longer. I know you have some unfinished homework." He grinned slyly.
"H-Hey! That's not my fault. It hurts my brain, okay!?" You refuted, getting pretty defensive.
"Calm down Y/N, I'm gonna help ya. Got that?"
Your cheeks went a light shade of rosy and you almost couldn't hold eye contact with Osamu.
"Yeah, thanks, Samu." You mumbled.
You ran upstairs to grab your homework and notes from science. You may have had science with Ginjima, but Osamu had science in another class. Luckily for you, he was a pretty good at it and understood most of the topics quickly.
You ran back down and into the living room with your pencil case, the sheets of paper and your notebook. the grey haired twin was sat on the carpet in front of the coffee table and you plopped down next to him.
You were watching as Osamu made up equations and used formulas to solve them. You listened carefully and began to see how everything clicked in place. For some reason, you always managed to learn when Osamu was the one explaining it to you.
You took the paper from him and wrote down your answers. You felt very conscious as his eyes were on you. He would point out a mistake before you could get too far and make even more mistakes.
"Aw shoot, thanks Samu."
"It's cool."
"By the way, this probably isn't the best time, but...
Do you still like Atsumu?"
The question rang thoroughly in your ears. You were a little surprise since it was out of the blue, causing you to drop your pencil. Your eyes slowly cast themselves downward to think deeply. You opened your mouth to answer, but nothing came out. Your hands reached up and took hold of your head. You seriously contemplated everything and finally found an answer.
"I...I am, but! I think I might be able to get over him."
Osamu observed your little mental breakdown and took note of your answer. 'Y/N will be able to get over Tsumu. Can't say the same for Tsumu who's desperately clinging onto his feelings for her. He's way too late.'
You soon finished up your homework and walked Osamu to the door. He bid you goodbye and walked across the street.
You quietly shut the door and locked it. You walked back to the living room and grabbed all your things, retreating to your room.
You ran up the stairs and flicked on your lights. you set your things down on your desk and fell onto your bed. You recalled the amount of cussing Suna and Samu partook in when you played Mariokart and Smashbros. Also the trash talk during Wiisports and egging each other on. The sheer amount of ramune soda you three consumed was probably well over the suggested limit and all the snacks that would be missing from your cupboards. You laughed and smiled to yourself.
You sure were tired, falling asleep with that idiotic smile on your face. But who could blame you, you were quite content.
