"Clover...? Are you- are you okay?" A familiar face popped into Clover's vision, startling him off-balance. Dots seemed to dance in his vision as he recovered from the fall. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!-" Clover held his hand up to signal them to stop. When his vision finally cleared, his eyes met Claire's and Engel's startling him again. "Uhhh...I think we killed him..." Engel sweated. "Nonsense! Look! He's alive!" Claire pulled him up, effectively waking him.

"Ah- AH! I'M AWAKE! I'M UP- oh. Sorry for that." Clover rubbed his neck smiling sheepishly seeing that Claire had jumped away during his little outburst. Miss Circle had already finished the class apparently and he was asleep. The other students found it weird that she wasn't scolding Clover for sleeping in class.

"Uh...Miss Bloomie's class is about to start...I think I failed..." Claire mumbled nervously. Engel and Clover assured her that she'd be okay, giving her reassuring smiles. "Y-yeah...right..." Claire frowned skeptically, not seeming convinced of the two boys' assurance.

~Timeskip to Miss Bloomie's Class~

"Claire." Miss Bloomie's voice dropped dangerously low as she held Claire's test papers before crumpling them.

Claire, getting the hint, immediately took off with Miss Bloomie following soon after.

"...WE'VE GOT TO HELP!" Clover yelled while shaking Engel. "I was just about to go-" He replied, a bit dizzy from Clover's shaking.

"THEN LET'S GO! NOW!" Clover yelled back in exasperation, practically dragging the dizzy Engel with him. Oliver, Zip, and Edward watched on. "Ya thinking what I'm thinking?" Zip glanced over to Oliver and Edward with a mischievous smirk. "YEAH!" "No." Oliver and Zip snapped their heads towards Edward. "Huh?" They questioned, simultaneously. "No. I'm not getting in trouble for that." He shook his head, rolling his eyes. "Aw, man! You're gonna miss out on a LOT of fun!" Zip groaned. "Yeah!" Oliver cheered. Edward just sighed and trudged back to his seat.

"And remember? You ran me over with a BOAT when we were in the pool! A BOAT!" Edward yelled at the two, now running in the halls, snickering at each other. Meanwhile, Engel and Clover were desperately trying to find Claire around the absurdly large school. They had eventually decided to split up to cover a wider area.

Engel, being the one to find Claire, saw her injured and cornered by the three teachers and gasped. As Miss Circle was about to stab her, he blocked the hit, whispering "run" to Claire so she didn't waste a second to follow his instructions. He was immediately thrown aside as Clover went to check on him, glaring at the teachers. Miss Bloomie looked saddened slightly before following Miss Thavel and Miss Circle, who just scoffed, quickly bolting after Claire.

(TW: SMALL BIT OF GORE!)

[CLAIRE'S POV, Third Person]

Claire ran through the halls, quickly getting tired from blood loss from the wound in her leg. The adrenaline didn't help at all. Spotting an exit, (or what appeared to be one,) she quickly bolted to it, only to be confused when she looked back slightly to see the teacher's faces, each varying degrees of shock and horror. 'It's probably nothing' she thought, and continued into the room.

Suddenly, a dark silhouette of a figure appeared in front of her, not even sparring with her a moment of thought before immediately spawning what looked to be black spikes heading in her direction. Bolting out the doors, colors started flooding around the school, scaring everyone. The figure, now identified as Alice, trailed closely behind Claire as she ran, not noticing a certain Clover following the two from behind.

Eventually, Claire came to the REAL exit but was scared stiff to find it locked.

A blood-curdling scream echoed to the school as Alice viciously tore through Claire. Imagine gutting a fish, except replace that fish with an actual human body where you tear the guts out and leave the muscles, dicing the fish up. Claire's skin tore open like paper, blood spilling everywhere as Clover watched, frozen in both shock and unregistered grief.

[Back to Clover's POV]

Claire. Dead. Right before his very own eyes. Clover stood there, staring blankly at the now-empty space, devoid of any screams or the mixed squelching of organs and blood.

It was then he broke down in tears, finally registering the immense grief crashing down on him as Bubble immediately rushed to comfort the poor boy.

Engel must've looked even worse than him, seeing as he held Claire's mangled pieces in his hands and cried, even though he had multiple injuries and her remains were...less than pleasant.

Clover, amidst his tears, had spotted Miss Bloomie in the corner of the hallway looking immensely guilty about playing a part in this gruesome game.

Although refusing to admit it, Miss Circle and Miss Thavel felt a teensy bit guilty since Clover was crying because of them.

Meanwhile, completely ignoring Clover and Engel practically wailing waterfalls near the actual exit, Zip and Oliver grinned at the scene, almost wheezing to death before getting interrupted by Miss Circle and the other two main teachers.

"Zip, Oliver, what are you doing?"

I actually added a bit of gore this time, along with changing a few of the sentences or paragraphs I felt were too fast-paced and icky-feeling. Please give me feedback on how you feel about this version! :D
