โ”โ”€โ”€โ”€โ”€When the four was walking through their usual hangout place, (Y/n) fell asleep in the arms of Shinichiro. It appears like the effects of everything that happened had finally took effect, causing the little girl to immediately fall unconscious due to fatigue.

"Damn. I can't believe a child this cute exist." Shinichiro praised happily, being reminded of the time he first held his younger brother as a baby.

Takeomi gave a glance towards the sleeping child and agreed, "She looks like a doll."

Benkei smiled, "Yeah. I bet she'll charm many people when she grew up."

Shinichiro chuckled, completely agreeing. The little girl in his arms was very cute and charming that he's positive that she'll be a force to be reckon with when she grew up. However, something---or rather, someone, managed to catch Shinichiro's attention.

Wakasa has been silent ever since little (Y/n) fell asleep. Of course, Wakasa wasn't that talkative to begin with, but he was never silent.

"Hey." Shinichiro called, "Is something the matter?"

Wakasa looked over at his boss and blinked, his lazy expression showing a hint of uncertainness before he sigh. "Say, Shin-chan...where'd you found (Y/n)?"

"Huh?" Shinichiro pondered for a second before giving the name of the alley where he found the little girl before looking at Wakasa curiously, "Why'd you ask? Did she tell you something?"

Shinichiro has talked to (Y/n) before but the little girl barely gave anything useful to him because she was shaken up when he found her. He has to spent lots of time comforting the little girl before deciding to first let the little one calm down instead of bombarding her with question. It just happens that there are matters he has to take care of so it was postponed.

"Uhh..well, you could say that."

Wakasa answered before looking at Shinichiro seriously, then carefully relayed the information he got from the little girl, starting from (Y/n)'s strange actions, to her parents, then to how she ended up in the alley.

Shinichiro, Takeomi and Benkei listened attentively, mouth gaping in shock and disbelief after hearing everything Wakasa just said.

"H-Hold on. You mean to tell me that this brat's pareants are...." Benkei hesitated, not knowing whether the term murdered is right given that they still don't know whether they're dead or alive.

Shinichiro pursed his lips and held the little girl in his arms a bit tighter, suddenly feeling an intense protectiveness towards her. "She saw her Dad get shot...She...Damn it. So that's why she said there's people chasing after her."

Takeomi frowned and crossed his arms, "Could it be that her parent's into some shaddy shits?"

"I don't know." Wakasa shrugged, shaking his head. "All I know is that whoever's after her are definitely dangerous."

No matter how you look at it, the little girl was obviously in danger and her background remained unknown to them. Her parents could've been dead, but based on her actions, she obviously has no clue how grave things are. In a perspective of a child, death is a complicated thing without an adult's explanation.

Shinichiro hugged the little girl in his arms bit the inside of his cheek. There was a few minutes of silence before he declared, "Let's help her."

'Just what kind of monsters would put a kid through something like this? How sad would (Y/n) feel when she learned what those things meant? Is her father even alive?' Shinichiro doesn't know how to deal with something like this. In fact, he's clueless on what to do. But one thing is for sure, the little girl in his arms is in danger and his conscience would never let him live in peace if he doesn't do anything.

Takeomi frowned, "Now hold on just a second, Shin. We don't even know anything about this kid. What if her parents are some kind of syndicate or yakuza? They're obviously into some deep shits, don't you think we should hand-"

Before Takeomi could even finish his words, Wakasa already answered. "Okay. I agree."

Benkei just stayed silent. After all, no matter what Shinichiro decides on, he'll go along with it.

Takeomi was taken aback, looking at Wakasa. "Man, you too? Shouldn't we think about it first?"

"Nope." Wakasa answered, "Shin-chan wants to help, so do I."

"This isn't about whether we want to help, it's about whether we can!" Takeomi argued, then saw his friends remained uninterested at his opposition, causing Takeomi to face palm. "Ugh...whatever. Fine."

Shinichiro grinned, "Come on, Takeomi. We'll figure it out together. We can't let (Y/n)-chan be harmed, don't you think we should at least help? She's too young to be facing these things all by herself. Besides..." looking down at the sleeping child, Shinichiro smiled sadly. "We'll seek help from the police sooner or later once she calms down."

"The police?" Takeomi crossed his arm and couldn't help but question, "Why didn't you go to the police earlier?"

That question also made Wakasa and Benkei curious. After all, it was only normal for people to go to the police whenever they encounter a lost child, yet Shinichiro took (Y/n) with him.

Shinichiro's face became serious as he answered, "I tried. She panicked and cried when she heard I'm taking her to the police station, so I didn't bother. Besides, I was running late to the gang fight anyways so I decided to just take her with me and figure out the rest later."

The three, "...."

Benkei cleared his throat, "I have to say, that're pretty careless of you."

Shinichiro nearly choked, being flustered by those words as he looked at his friends, wanting to raise his voice but remembered the little girl in his arms was sleeping so he said through gritted teeth and a forced smile on his face.

"What am I supposed to do? It's not every day I encounter a lost child, I'm not that much of a genius to immediately figure out what to do. Besides, she was crying and saying stuff like there's people after her, I couldn't just leave her alone."

Wakasa chuckled, "Relax, Shin-chan. No one's saying you did things wrong. Still...we might really end up involving the police, since we can't, you know, deal with it ourselves."

After all, these are people with guns who wouldn't hesitate to kill. Although they're gangsters, that kind of caliber is still far above them.

Takeomi sigh, crossing his arms. "Great. Now we, gangsters, have to get involve with police."

"I'll get in touch with the police." Shinichiro corrected.

Wakasa nodded, "Right. Shin-chan doesn't look that suspicious. Surely no one will think you kidnapped her or something."

'After all, you look harmless.' Was exactly Wakasa wanted to say, but held it back. After all, Shinichiro will definitely have complaints if he ever heard that. Glancing at the little girl sleeping on Shinichiro's arms, Wakasa felt worried but it wasn't at all that apparent in his bored face.

Shinichiro sigh and stood up, carrying (Y/n) in his arms. "Well, for now, I'll take her home. Then we'll meet up tomorrow and see what we can do."
