Amie

After settling things I finally go to anurag. He noticed me in midway and smiled.

"Hey, why aren't you ready yet??" Anurag asked.

I was about to speak when my mom came.
"Hello beta kab aaye tum?" My mom asked anurag.
(When did you arrived?)

"Ji abhi"

"Okay" She said smiling.

"Aur tu! mehmaan aarhe hai aur abhi tak aise ghoom rahi hai taiyaar kab hogi? " she said glaring me.
(And you! guests are arriving and you're roaming like this when will you get ready?)

I escaped from there before she could scold me more. I went to my room upstairs and took out my purple one shoulder draped blouse and skirt set.

It has floral embroidered waistband it looks great. And without wasting any time i quickly wore it and did some makeup. I glanced myself in the mirror for the last time, satisfied with the look.

I haven't seen mahir since this morning, even though our rooms are next to each other huh! I went downstairs and the hall was filled with our relatives, bhai's friends now. I looked for amna and anurag, I saw them chuckling.

"Why are you guys laughing so much?" I asked joining them.

"Areh! You know what anurag did!!" Amna said in between her laugh.

"Kya kar diya ab isne??" I asked being curious.

"I'll tell you" Anurag said as amna couldn't control her laugh.

"Spill"

"When I reached here I had bouquets in my hand, as you know that and i bumped into aunty, she said mujhe aaj kal ke ladke pasand nahi"
(I don't like boys these days)

"Then?"

"I replied toh apki yeh umar bhi nahi hai pasand karne ki" He said with a chuckle.
(So what, it isn't your age to like them anyway)

"What seriously???" I couldn't resist my laugh too.

"And it was your aunt" amna said suddenly and my laugh disappeared in no time.

"Whattt anurag you idiot!!" I screamed.

"I didn't knew that earlier sorry!"

"Now she will definitely taunt me" I said face palming myself.

"Are aise kaise hum hai na!" Anurag said looking at amna.

"Yes" She said with a fist bump.

Preeti bhabhi's here. She looks beautiful and elegant. I turn my head to ritik and his eyes were already stuck on her. I'm so happy for him.

Finally! I saw amie. I gaze at her top to bottom. She looks so perfect in purple dress, revealing her one shoulder and neckline. Indeed! looks like it was made for her.

I'm wearing purple too! And it's not a coincidence I did it on purpose.

I kept gazing at her, didn't realized a smile crept on my face.

"Enjoying the view?" someone said from behind and i nod without caring who said it.

Shit!

"W-what view mom!" I said stuttering.

"Acha mujhe sab pata hai" She said with a chuckle and pulling my earlobe.
(Well, I know everything)

"What?" My eyes widened.

"You're making it obvious, and i like your choice just tell her already" mom said with a smile and walked away leaving me dumbstruck.

I'm making it obvious? I stood there in my place, she knows? did she just told me to confess?

Forget it!

I saw amie going upstairs, I followed her as no one was with her. Unlocking the door knob she went inside and so did i. I knocked on the door to get her attention.

"hey" She said when she noticed me.

"How do i look? Mast na!?" I asked walking towards her expecting a decent compliment.

Her eyes went top to bottom and said "Yeh kya pehna hai tumne poore chocolate ke wrapper lag rahe ho!"

(What are you wearing, you look like a complete chocolate wrapper!)

Chocolate wrapper? Before I could say something someone screamed from behind us. We turned our head only to see advika standing with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Don't you have any manners huh...your mother didn't teach you I guess, mahir please ignore her you look great really!" advika said.

"Excuse me-" Amie was about to say something but I cut off her.

"Don't you dare talk to her in that tone again and I guess your mother didn't teach you not to interfere in others' personal matters or at least knock the door before entering someone's room" I said in a squeaky tone.

"But how can she talk like that" she murmured.

"She can say whatever she want to I don't mind it and it's none of your business" I said and she walked away without speaking further.

I glanced at amie and she was staring at me like she saw a ghost.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing! mujhe laga tum uski side loge"
(I thought you will take her side)

"And what made you think like that??"

"Umm nothing" She said and scrunches her nose.

"By the way" I said while moving closer to her without splintering our eye contact. She seemed stunned, I didn't knew my closeness would have such impact on her.

"Are you trying to hypnotize me by being so mesmerizing today?" I leaned and whispered in her ear. We were just an inch away, her body smelt heavenly. I gaze at her lips, she tried to speak by parting her lips but was probably too stunned to speak.

"Knock knock!!" someone knocked on the door. In no time amie lands her hand on my chest and push me away from her.

"What are you guys doing here? suhani aunty is looking for you both come down!" amna said.

"Um... Haa chal" Amie said and left.

Everyone gathers as the ceremony begins. Preeti puts the ring on ritik's finger and he puts the ring on her finger.

Everyone congratulates the couple and biding goodbyes, the ring ceremony ends well.
