It was the next morning-
I think...
And you heard women walking into your door, opening your closet, opening the blinds, and opening the curtains that surrounds your bed.

Your eyes flutter open, and to your surprise you're not greeted by the rising sun that stared through your window every morning.

It was still dark?

You sit up examining your room to see women coming in and out of your bathroom, and bringing laundry into your closet.
And laying your school school clothes on your dresser.

You took your phone off the charger, checking the time.

"4:05?"

"Why was everybody up so early?"

Everyone continued to ramble around the room, when you finally say

"Why are you all up so early?"

The whole room stopped in silence.
You heard murmurs travel throughout the room, as the pause of the room suddenly ended.
The rambling started up again as you started to get angrier by the minute.

You stood from your bed and entered the bathroom to begin your day.

You walked down the stair with your coat, and your school jacket hanging from your arm with Kisa walking slightly behind you.

You get to the last couple steps of the flight of stairs when you see more house keepers, assistants, and handmaidens, rushing around the house.

"What the hell is going on."
You mutter.

You turn the corner to the main entrance flooded with more even people that worked around the house.
You then had come to see your mother and father placing clothes, toiletries, shoes, under garments, to house keeps that would place the items in a suitcase, or a smaller bag.

Then you had come to your senses.

They were leaving.

"What the hell?!"
You exclaimed which made everyone on the first floor stop.
Your mother turned to the bottom of the stairs, and started running up to you.

"Oh darling!"
She says sweetly while kissing all around your face.

"I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner! But it was so last minute I don't know how much sooner who could have told you!"
She pouts while holding your face.

"Me and your father have been called in a lot earlier than expected, so we have to leave a few weeks earlier than planned."
She explained.

You stood in front of your mother speechless as your father pays no attention whatsoever, and finalizes his packing.

Yes, you and your parents didn't have a stable relationship. But you still loved them. And for them to leave only 2 months before your birthday was absolutely heartbreaking.
The fact that they chose work over their own daughter.
The day that she was birthed.
Yet they decided to leave for a long perm business trip 2 weeks earlier than planned?!

"Goodbye honey, I love you."
She says while kissing the middle of your forehand.
I'll see you in...hm how many months?
She wondered.

"4."
Your father chimed in.

"4 months!"
Your mother hugged you tightly. You hugged her back knowing that you wouldn't feel the affection that you needed in 3 months.

"What?! You said you didn't have a leave date yet."

"This was just made official, Y/n. Don't get worked up."

"And your just going to leave 2 months before my birthday?"

"You have a birthday every year Y/n, we'll be there next year."

"I'm turning 17."

"It's not like your turning 18 or something.
It's fine we'll be back. It's not like we are leaving forever."

You were speechless. They were just going to leave like there wasn't a problem with this situation? What is going on?

"Well, it never hurts to be early darling! Go ahead and grab something to eat, and head to school ok?"
As says as she goes back go packing.

Tears started to swell in your eyes.

They didn't even care. Not even giving a second thought. And the fact that they didn't even realize how much they leave affected you.

"Y-you know what? I'm not h-hungry."."
You say while trying not to choke up.

You pushed past the slight crowd of people to walk out of the main doors.

"Later."
You say while flashing him a quick smile before continuing out of the doors.
