It was a quiet night and you were very occupied with getting your homework done that you forgot your bestfriend and secret crush, Duckie was coming over.

All day long he had been venting to you about how Andie was going on a date with Blane,and it got pretty repetitive and annoying, especially since you were trying to pay attention to the teacher's lesson at hand.

So you told Duckie he could come over that night and you guys would discuss what was going on.

When it was time for Duckie to be there,you still forgot about it. The only thing that reminded you was the loud banging on your bedroom window,which made you jump and roll your eyes once you noticed it was Duckie.

"You know there's a front door right?" you said sarcastically and opened the window for your friend as he made his way inside

"Well I thought this was the most proper way" Duckie grinned as he collapsed on your bed dramatically.

"So as you know Andie and Blane went out,and to me I think its pathetic I mean she hasn't even known the guy for a week and their already going on a date. She should be going out with me" Duckie ranted making you sigh and sit beside him. You really wish he was like this whenever a guy asked you out, but obviously Andie was more special and better in more ways then you were.

"Duckie,I know this sounds rude but you can't make a heart love somebody, and Andie doesn't seem to have the same feelings that you do, so its probably best if you just let it go" you spoke softly, trying not to come off ignorant towards Duckie's emotions or feelings,because you knew how it felt to not have someone like you back. I mean you were experiencing it right now as you heard Duckie go on about a girl who wasn't you.

"Maybe your right y/n.... sheesh I guess no one will ever like me back" Duckie sat up so he was right beside you, as he rested his head in his hands.

"Well there is someone who likes you back" your voice trailed off since you started becoming hesitant of telling him your feelings that you had been concealing since the second grade.

"Real funny, who?" Duckie fake laughed  and turned his head to gaze at my fidgeting frame next to him.

"Me" you finally admitted, quietly preparing yourself for the rejection that you were about to experience.

"You? Y/n y/l/n? Like me? Are you serious?!" Duckie asked in shock as he quickly stood up

"Yeah....is that a bad thing?" I folded my arms across my chest as I watched Duckie pace my room back and forth

"No its not....but it means that I can tell you something that I've been covering up for awhile now"

"What is it Duckie?" You asked a bit worried and stood up quickly facing him

"Its just.... I don't really like Andie....I like you"

You were a bit taken back since you never thought in a million years your crush and bestfriend, Duckie Dale would confess feelings for you

"Why did you cover that up then?" You asked stepping closer to Duckie

"I just didn't know if you felt the same way I did towards you. So since Andie was my only other female friend, I decided to have a fake crush on her to hide the fact that I actually liked you.

You didn't respond instead you leaned in and captured his lips for a sweet  kiss,making yours and his face turn red

"I've liked you forever Duckie" you finally said before kissing him again.
