The car door opened, and she flinched as she turned to see Lauren and Sasha approaching. They exchanged a concerned glance as they slid into the backseat.

"Are you okay?" Lauren asked softly, her voice tinged with genuine worry.

Adrian shook her head, staring out at the dark road ahead. "I just... I can't talk to him right now. I can't even look at him. Not after this."

Sasha nodded in understanding, her hand gently touching Adrian's shoulder. "You don’t have to, Adrian. Take your time. He messed upβ€”big time. he dosent you"

She nodded but didn’t say anything, her mind still swirling with everything that had just happened. She knew Jim didn’t mean to hurt her, not physically or emotionally. But that didn’t change the fact that he had. And now, in front of everyone, it felt like she’d been defending the wrong person.
