We were sitting on a bench inside the school. There's ample of time left so we decided to hang around outside the classroom for a while as we wait for the bell to ring. Marinette was drawing on her sketchbook. Alya had her eyes on her phone and I was reading a book titled, Flipped. I have already watched the movie but I heard that the book was worth it so might as well just read it.

A few other students sat on the bench slightly far away from us but it was close enough for me to hear their conversations. "Did you see the ice cream man?" Rose asked enthusiastically. Her friend group nodded eagerly.

"I heard he was looking for (Y/N)." One of her friends stated.

Upon hearing this, my eyes narrowed as I continued reading my book. The gossiping didn't stop but only got louder. Marinette and Alya exchanged glances with each other, as they noticed my growing frustration.

And as if this day wouldn't get any better, Adrien walked over to us.

"Hey," He started with a shaky breath. "Can I borrow (Y/N) for just a sec?"

"One second is over." I muttered without even sparing him a glance.

Adrien let out an awkward laugh. "Can I borrow you for a minute then?"

I calmly placed the bookmark inside the book and closed it. I sighed and stood up, bringing along my things with me. I tried to ignore Marinette's stares as me and Adrien walked away.

"What do you want?" I stopped with my tracks as soon as we reached the lockers. I dropped my backpack onto the floor and carefully placed the book on top of it. I leaned on one of the lockers as I gave Adrien a questioning look.

Adrien smiled, "I heard that Chat Noir saved you last night!" He chirped. I rolled my eyes at the oddly enthusiastic boy in front of me. His blonde locks shining as the sun perfectly hits Adrien. No wonder he is a model. "What does it feel like to be saved?"

I chuckled, "Are you a reporter now?" I questioned. "'Cause you're really bad at it."

Adrien slightly scratched his nape and gave me a sheepish smile. "I'm just asking. People usually tend to stay-" he paused. "-shocked." He smirked but I responded with a confused expression.

"Why would I?" I asked with a quirk of an eye brow.

He gave me a look of disbelief, "It's Chat Noir! Aren't you a little bit surprised?"

I let out an airy laugh. " I dont like him. I run a 'hate blog,' remember? Don't answer-" I stated as I pointed an index finger at him "-that's a rhetorical question."

"What can possibly make you change your mind?"

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing."

"There's got to be something." He nodded eagerly. "There's got to be something and I'm going to figure it out-at any cost."

The bell rang and I immediately took my bag that was on the floor. I threw it onto my shoulders and hugged the book that I was reading as well as the other textbooks close to me. "Good luck with that, Cat boy."

I left Adrien alone in the locker room and walked back to class. I opened the door and instantly saw Marinette and Alya in our usual seats. I waved at them and they returned the gesture. I walked up to them and took the seat next to the aisle.

"We've missed you!" Marinette cried and engulfed me into a hug. I pursed my lips as I was greeted by the sweet strawberry scent of Marinette's shampoo. I patted her back and she immediately let go.

I moved away and fixed my desk, placing the tablet and the stylus neatly onto the wooden furniture. "The talk wasn't that long for you to miss me, Marinette." I grinned lopsidedly as I inserted the books inside my backpack.

Marinette huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Still."

Adrien entered the room shortly. He glanced around the room and his gaze landed on me. I ignored his stare, playing it off as if I was simply just looking at the chalkboard. He let out a small laugh and shook his head. He took the seat beside Nino which was in front of Marinette but that was nothing new to her. Marinette finally got used to seeing the back of her crush's head up close.

I reached for the book, Flipped, inside my bad but Ms. Bustier suddenly entered the room, her presence cutting off all conversations in the classroom. I chucked the book inside my bag again and stood up. We greeted the teacher in unison like we always do. Soon after, we were told to sit down.

I grabbed a neatly-folded hoodie in my bag, placing the thick black clothing above my lap as I sat. I decided to wear those trendy retro skirts today, partnered with a white long sleeved turtle neck. The only problem with wearing short skirts is how far they can go up when you sit down.

I listened to the teacher intently and jotted down some notes along the way. I really liked her class since its french literature and she tries to incorporate life lessons a long the way. It's like you're getting a demo version of Cory Matthews from the Girl Meets World.

The bell rang, signifying that it's time for our break. Ms. Bustier gave some assignments before she dismissed us, earning some groans from other students and me. Well, it's not like I don't fashion reading more pages in our literature book. I'm hungry and I really want to eat right now.

Cheers soon erupted after Ms. Bustier let us leave. I folded the hoodie and placed it in my bag, leaving the tablet on the table since I would be needing that for the next lesson. I grabbed my bag off the floor and placed it on my seat.

"Not to rush you Marinette but everyone had left the room." Alya teased.

Marinette's brows furrowed. Her hand shuffled around her bag. "I'm sorry. I'm just having a hard time looking for-"

"Girls," Ms. Bustier interrupted. "I'm going to leave the room now, if that's alright?" I gave her a smile and a curt nod. She left the room soon after.

Marinette groaned, "I give up."

We went to our locker and grabbed our lunch bags. We sat at the canteen peacefully. I took a bite of an apple as I continued reading the book, Flipped. Marinette excused herself after she sat down, telling us that she's going to the restrooms.

"What was that all about?" Alya nudged me.

I cocked my head back, "Do you really think I would know." I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Amya shook her head but a smile appeared on her lips, "No, but I know you already have a guess."

I hummed as I turned another page, "Perhaps."

Marinette came back when our break was nearing to an end. Alya looked at her curiously, I can feel her mentally begging for answers. "Hey guys," She started with an awkward laugh. "I just got a call from Ladybug-"

Alya stood up, her hands slamming the table. "You know Ladybug?" She whispered, wide-eyed. I didn't look up from my book. I know that this is going to happen somehow.

"Yeah!" Marinette played along. "She saw your LadyBlog about her history book and she wants to get it back."

"Is she here now?" Alya glanced around the canteen and I stifled a laugh. Alya's gaze shifted on me. "What's so funny?"

"Well no," Marinette paused and Alya's face dropped. "But I could give it to her." she suggested cheerfully but this didn't lift up my sister's spirits.

"I don't have it with me right now though." Alya muttered sadly but I'm sure she was far more grateful that she didn't bring it with her to school today.

The bell rang and everyone left the canteen including us. Alya went to a different classroom since we don't have the same schedule. She told me to put her lunch bag inside her locker. Me and Marinette went to the locker area together, her face sporting a dejected frown. She had chemistry and history next while I have math and english.

I opened my locker and placed the lunch bags inside since I forgot to ask Alya her combination. My eyes landed on my history book, sighing as I took it with me. We left the locker room and separated ways.

It took me a few seconds before I realized the history book in my arms. "Hey Marinette!" I called out. She stopped in her tracks and turned around to face me. "Yeah?" she asked with a lift of an eyebrow.

I ran up to her and gave her my history book. She looked at me with a confused expression but I just gave her a smile.  "You might need it."
