𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒'𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕

It's been a few weeks since I've found out that I was pregnant.

Today Jude was due back. I haven't seen him in so long. I've missed him so much.

He has been training so hard for the euros. I know how much it means to him to win.

Jeremiah is excited also. Of course he's still kept my pregnancy a secret until Jude came back.

I was going to tell Jude today since it felt right.

Before I pick up Jude from the airport I was due in at the hospital for a check up and a early ultrasound that I had to pay for, since I'm still early and they usually don't take them until your 11 weeks.

I couldn't wait that long though I was to impatient.

Luckily Kiloni was free today to mind Jeremiah until I picked up Jude and picked Jeremiah up on the way back home.

I get out the car and head towards the maternity ward.

I head towards reception and they asked for my name. "Your name?"

"Ines Rivers." I replied.

She searched up my name on the system and when she found my name she nodded. "Room 17 for me, your midwife should be in there waiting for you."

"Okay thank you." I said while walking towards the room she told me to go to.

I entered the room and what I assumed was my midwife looked up and smiled "Ines Rivers?"

I nodded "Yeah that's me."

She then got up and walked towards the bed. "If you could just lay on here for me and lift up your shirt just above your stomach for me."

I hopped onto the bed and made myself comfy as I lifted up my shirt.

She then had hold of a white bottle that had the gel in.

She went towards the sink and washed her hands and put on the latex gloves.

She then came back over towards me and said "This is going to be cold alright?"

I nodded.

She placed the freezing cold gel over my stomach which hasn't formed a bump yet since I'm still early.

She grabbed the transducer and started to move it around the bottom of my abdomen.

She then pointed to the screen "Since your still early, you can't really see the head or the baby itself properly , but you will be able to in a few weeks time if you come back. That little circle there is your baby."

I'm already falling in love with this baby from looking at a screen.

She took a few screenshots for me to take home and then passed me blue roll to wipe the gel off my stomach that was no longer cold.

I thanked the midwife and told her that I'd see her again in a few weeks time for another check up.

I'll tell you one thing I haven't missed is travelling back and forth from the hospital to do check ups and blood tests.

As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I already ordered a one piece set that had the words 'Baby Bellingham #2 due May 2025'

I was genuinely so excited to experience being pregnant again, but this time I really hope it's a girl so I can be a girl mum also.

If it's not a girl though I'd love them no matter what and at least they're healthy and that's all I care about.

I quickly drive back home to touch myself up and set up the pregnancy announcement on the kitchen counter for Jude to see for when he comes back home. Before I set back off for Jude at the airport I took a few pictures and left the house again to go get Jude.

I'm so nervous to see how he reacts, but I know he'll be so excited as much as I am.

I was that excited to see Jude I wanted to teleport to the airport straight away just to see his face. I went a bit over the speed limit as I couldn't wait any longer and wanted him by my side to find out I was pregnant with his 2nd baby.

I was near enough the airport, I've been stuck at this traffic light for minutes. I'm starting to get really impatient.

Finally the light turned amber to go to green which was a sign for me to go. I quickly sped round the corner to get there.

All of a sudden I felt my head bang of my car roof and all I could see was darkness and the hearing of glass shattering while my body was squashed by the airbag that fired out of the steering wheel.
