Once the four of them got back to Abby's childhood home, Quinn and Theo went around and grabbed the bags out of the trunk.

Adrian walked into the home alongside Theo. Abby waited with Quinn as he grabbed their carry-ons alongside the luggage.

"Do you need help?" asked Abby as Quinn was carrying a lot. "No its okay honey I got it," he said with a smile on his face.

They entered the home and Abby could tell someone was different. Maybe it was the reality of the situation setting in. Quinn left the suitcase in the mud room while following his girlfriend towards the kitchen.

Once Abby walked into the kitchen she was bombarded with her mother. Her mother had run towards her daughter as if she hadn't seen her two months ago due to the holiday.

"Hi mama," said Abby as she hugged her mother back. "I missed you so much baby," her mother said during the hug.

After the two separated, her mother waited for Abby to introduce her boyfriend.

"Mama this is Quinn," she said gesturing towards the talker boy. "And Quinn this is my mother," said Abby repeating her gesture toward her mother.

"It's very nice to meet you, Mrs. Ivanov," said Quinn as he stuck out his hand for the older woman. Abby's mother, Maria looked at her daughter with an approving look.

"It's so good to finally meet you Quinn, I've heard such good things about you and your career," said Abby's mother as they shook hands.

"Yes ma'am thank you," said Quinn as his face turned red from the mention of his NHL career. "I'm so glad you're here with us, although I wish under better circumstances," Said Maria with a small smile.

"Thank you so much for having me," said Quinn as he stood by Abby's brothers. "Adrian, can you please show Quinn to Abby's room?" asked the older woman to her middle son.

"It's okay mama I can show him," said Abby sending a smile toward her boyfriend. "Okay honey, please rest we have a big day tomorrow-" started her mother. "Oh have you too eaten" asked Maria with concern.

"No mama we just got here" laughed Abby. "Oh you must be starving I'll get dinner started," she said before starting something on the counter.

With that Abby and Quinn made their way up to Abby's childhood bedroom. It was still the same as she left it. Not one thing out of place.

Abby pulled her suitcase, along with Quinn's onto her bed. She unzipped both pulled out both of their funeral clothes and hung them up in her closet.

Quinn went into the bathroom attached to her bedroom and placed both of their toiletries by the sink.

Abby cleared off the bed and laid down. She laid there until Quinn came and joined her in bed. He put his arms around the girl and stroked her hair.

"I know this is a stupid question but are you okay?" he asked. Abby laughed, "well I wouldn't say I'm okay my dad just died," she said with sadness laced in her voice.

"But I know you're just trying to help," said Abby as she turned her head and stared at Quinn. He hadn't had time to shave lately and his facial hair had grown out a bit.

"I don't know how I can help babydoll" he started. "I know I can't do anything, but I'm here if you need anything. Remember I love you so much" said Quinn with a smile on his face.

Abby smiled for the first time in 24 hours. "I love you too Quinny, more than you know," said Abby as she moved her face up to kiss Quinn's stubble.

"You know what captain?" said Abby with a smirk on her face. "What" Quinn responded with that same smirk. "I think you should keep your stubble, it's hot," she said as she kissed down Quinn's neck, nipping at his collarbone.

"Oh yeah," Quinn started "Yeah Captain," said Abby as she started to run her up and down Quinn's toned chest. The couple was interrupted by Adrian busting through the door.

"Hey, mam- Ew I think I might throw up," said Adrian as he closed the door quickly.
He walked back into the room seconds later with his hand over his eyes. "Mama said it's time to eat" he spoke before shutting the door.

"Oh okay thanks Adrian," said Abby as she got off Quinn's lap and checked herself out in the mirror. Quinn also got up, and his hard-on was immediately gone as soon as Adrian entered the room and spoke of Abby's mother, and eating dinner.

"Adrian" yelled Abby right before he went down the stairs. "What Abby oh my gosh" spoke out Adrian as he walked back to the door with his hand still over his eyes.

"First of all take your hand off your eyes, we were both fully dressed the whole time asshole" Abby started. "And if you tell Theo or Mama, I'll tell them about Henry sneaking in every night during summer," spoke Abby while smiling innocently at her twin brother.

"You wouldn't dare" spoke Adrian with a pissed-off expression on his face. "Try me" spoke out Abby as she walked passed him.

Adrian stood there for a second before looking at Quinn who was still sitting on the bed. Quinn shrugged his shoulders and got up to walk downstairs.

Dinner last night was uneventful, but Quinn learned that the death of Abby's father was much bigger than he thought.

Abby's father was a prominent business owner in their area. He also realized that Abby's oldest brother, Theo had inherited the family business at just 26 years old.

But today was the day of the funeral, and Quinn and Abby woke up around 8:30. The service was at 11 but the family had to be there around 10.

After he and Abby cuddled and Abby shed a few tears they both made their way to the bathroom to freshen up.

Abby had showered last night, so Quinn showered this morning while Abby got dressed and cleaned up their room.

Once Quinn got out of the shower, he started putting on his all-black suit. Abby already had her black dress on by the time Quinn was done.

Quinn watched his girlfriend attempt to do her makeup. Her hands would shake every time she applied something to her face. But eventually, she was done.

Abby looked up and Quinn with sad eyes, she walked over to him and hugged him. Quinn held her for a few minutes until she pulled back saying it was time to go.

Abby grabbed her purse and Phone, before walking out of her room and downstairs. Quinn did a quick dubbed check that he had his wallet and phone before following his girlfriend downstairs.

Once they both made it downstairs Abby saw her mother and stood by her, Quinn following her every move.

Around 9:45 4 black SUVs pulled into the family driveway. Each had a driver who stood and waited for the family to leave the home.

Abby's mother was the first out of the house escorted by her oldest brother Theo. Then Adrian and his " friend" Henry walked into the second car. Lastly, Abby and Quinn made their way into the last car.

Once the family had arrived at the chapel it all felt so surreal.

Many people stopped by to say their condolences to the family. While others sat down in church waiting for the ceremony to start.

Once it did finally start the church was overflowing with people. After the priest had finished saying what he needed to, it was now Marias' turn to speak.

Abby's mother had shared some stories of how much of a great person her husband was, and how much she loved and adored him. Next up was Theo, he didn't say much just how he would miss his father very, very much.

Adrian tried to lighten the load by cracking some jokes and telling stories of how much his father had influenced him as a person.

Lastly was Abby, she had a few note cards of what to say but she could barely form any words. Once she stood up at the altar she expressed how grateful she was to everyone who had made the trip out to pay their respects. She then went on to say how lucky she was that her father was her father.

But she also got into saying how she was sad her father would miss the most important moments of her life. She explained how she would never be able to walk down the aisle with her father, or ever make him a grandfather.

She finished up her speech by saying how much she would miss him and, how her life would never be the same.

After the ceremony, the family went to the burial grounds and put him to rest. Then the extended family all went to eat at some
Very expensive restaurant, as the owner was a friend of their fathers.

The day finished with Quinn and Abby packing up their bags for their flight the next morning and falling asleep in each arms
