[ Thursday 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 30th ]

It was a regular day, Toph was sitting on her bed listening to the voice from the tv talk. After a bit, she got tired of it and decided to "see" what everyone else is doing.

She walked out of her room to feel Aang and Katara cuddling on the couch, As Toph walked furthermore towards the living room she caught the young couple's attention.

Katara - Hey Toph

Toph - Sup

Aang - Want to watch F R I E N D S with us?

Toph - Again? How many seasons are there?

Katara - There are only 10 but we like to rewatch it

Toph - Yeah no thanks, I'm going to go see what Sokka is up to

Aang - Oh he's back in his room

Toph - alright

Toph walked to the door where she opened it and closed it behind herself. She then walked over to the boy's apartment knocking on the door.

Suki answered and sat back down next to Zuko on the couch after letting Toph come in. Toph headed to Sokka's room and felt him laying on the ground with his feet up against the wall.

Toph - What are you doing meathead?

Sokka - I heard somewhere that if you put your feet up against the wall you'll get smarter

Toph - Oh really?

Sokka - Yep

Toph - And how's that working out for you?

Sokka - So far nothing, But I do have a headache

Toph - Snoozles get up before you damaged your brain even more

Sokka - Alight fine

Sokka got off of the ground and Sat on his bed next to Toph.

Toph - Got plans for today?

Sokka - Nah I think I'm just going to relax with you

Toph - I'm cool with that

The couple laid back in Sokka's bed snuggling and cuddling for a while before drifting off to a nap.

An hour later Sokka woke up with Toph's upper body laying on his chest.

He stroked her hair a few times before she started rubbing her eyes and waking up. After they both got up they then headed to the kitchen for a snack, Sokka noticed that Suki and Zuko were gone but he didn't think much of it.

Toph sat on the counter as Sokka cut them up some apples and peanut butter.

They then began eating in silence since both were still a bit tired from their nap.

Sokka - You didn't say thank you

Toph - What are you going to do about it?

Sokka - This.......

Sokka pulled Toph in for a passionate kiss that lasted a while before Toph's phone began ringing.

Sokka - Toph shouldn't your answer that?

Sokka mumbled from the kiss opening his eyes looking at her phone

Toph - The phone can wait

said Toph as she declined the call without even looking at it then pulling Sokka in for another long kiss

Toph - Ugh can't this person take a hint

Toph took out her phone and answered it while Sokka stood in front of her waiting and trying to figure out who it was.

Toph - Hello

Toph dad - Hello dear

Toph - Dad?

Toph's dad - Were you expecting someone else?

Toph - No no, It's just we haven't talked in a while. Is everything ok?

Toph dad - It is dear, But could you tell me about this boyfriend of yours?

Toph gulps down her nervousness taking a deep breath

Toph - Oh hehe, How did you find out?

Toph dad - Your mother and I were scrolling through your Instagram and saw your post with this umm boy. And well...You guys were close if I do say so.

Toph - oh, yeah I guess

Toph dad - Is it that friend of yours? The water trib one?

Toph - Yes, yes it is

Toph's dad - Could you care to come to dinner with your mother and me tomorrow?

Toph - Yeah, I'll drive myself there around 8

Toph dad - Oh Toph, Could you bring this water tribe boyfriend of yours?

Toph - oh eh um ok

Toph dad - Splendid, See tomorrow, I love you Toph

Toph - Same here dad, heh bye

Sokka - What was that about

Toph - It was, my um......dad

The way Toph said those words caused Sokka to think something happened and put him in panic mode

Sokka - Is he alive, What happens, do you need me to drive you to the hospital, I think I know CPR, Is he—

Toph chuckled before pressing her hand against Sokka's face trying to calm him down. Sokka then placed his hand over hers and closed his eyes from how comforting it was.

They pulled in for a soft quick kiss before Toph explained.

Toph - My dad is fine Sokka.
He just wants me to come to dinner tomorrow

Sokka - But you hate to sit down dinners with your family

Toph - I know, But my dad wants to meet you

Sokka - Me!??

Toph nods

Sokka - How did he figure out about us?

Toph - Instagram

Sokka - ohhhhh

Toph - Want to go?

Sokka - Of course Toph

Toph - thanks................meathead

[ Next day ]

After school, Toph and Sokka got dressed for their dinner at Toph's parent's houses.

They then got in Sokka car and began the drive, on the way there Toph mentioned a few pointers for Sokka like eat with your mouth close, no elbows on the table, don't get up for more food, sit up straight, and whatever you don't bring up politics.

Sokka thought these were the ridiculous rule but he knew she just wanted Sokka to have a good impression on her parents even though they met a few times when Sokka dropped Toph off at her house a few time but he never been inside the house or had a real conversation with her parents.

Once they made it to her house they parked the car in the driveway before making it to the door and ringing it.

A butler answered the door welcoming Toph back home, The couple then walked into the living room where Toph's parents were seated. Toph's mother poppy quickly got up to the sight of Toph and hugged her while she further took his time.

was already up Poppy was done greeting Toph and moved onto Sokka. She gave him a glance taking in how he looked before shaking his hand nicely. Sokka smiled and shook her hand back, it was now Sokka's turn to meet Toph's dad. The many years he's seen Lao face he seemed quite nice but this time he intimated Sokka with just one look.

Now Sokka knew where Toph got "the look" from

Lao shook Sokka mutually before suggesting they should head to the kitchen. Once they made it to the kitchen Lao sat at the head of the table with Poppy on his right and Toph sitting on his left and of course Sokka sitting next to Toph.

They all sat quietly as they waited for the food because that was also one of the rules. Sokka was nervous and Toph could tell by his heartbeat so she grabbed his hand from underneath the table and squeezed it trying to comfort him which it did. The food then came and they all ate for a minute before Lao spoke

Lao - So how long have you been dating Toph?

Sokka - Since October sir

Lao - And how is the relationship?

Toph - ugh dad

Lao - I'm asking a question Toph, How is it?

Sokka - Very well...I'm mean good, Very good

Lao - Mhmm. And this relationship...You too aren't doing anything serious if you know what I mean

Toph - Oh my gosh, Dad!

Poppy - Lao!

Sokka chocks on his water almost spitting it out while Toph slammed her hands on the table out of embarrassment

Sokka - Oh uhh...no....Lao, SIR, I mean sir

Toph - Mom can you please change the subject

Poppy - Yes my love. Sokka what interests you in my daughter?

Lap narrowed his eyes at Sokka causing him to tenses up but Told holding his hand calmed him down

Sokka - Well I've always had a thing for your daughter Mrs. she is very truthful, loyal, fun, she speaks her mind and doesn't care what people say she knows who she is and so confident, Plus she is the most beautiful person I've ever met.

Toph blushed looking down and smiling at this comment while Lao backed off his rude look

Poppy - So the way you feel about him true?

Toph - It is

Toph said smiling looking towards Sokka, he smiles back reaching for her hand before doing a quick 1,2 squeeze

The dinner went on for a while but once they were done they decided it was best to leave for the night. Before they left Toph talked with her mother outside near the door while Sokka and Lao talked near the door. Lao told Sokka about how he should never break Toph's heart or that he should pay.

The second thing Lao talked about is how he should take of his daughter because he could tell how much she loved him. And the last and final thing he talked about was just to be happy with her and spend life together.

After they talked Lao gave Sokka an awkward hug as Toph walked towards them with Poppy behind her, Toph said goodbye to her dad while Sokka said goodbye to Poppy. Sokka then helps get in the car before saying their final goodbye then driving away, Toph's parents watched as they drove away before going inside for the night.

Toph - So be honest with me since you can't lie. How was it?

Sokka - Not that bad

Toph - Really!

Sokka - Really

It was a red light so Sokka gave Toph a passionate kiss that lasted until the light was green.
