We all entered the house, the multiple doors being opened by a few butlers, who were deemed excellent at their job.
My family and I separated when Yu and I decided to get a drink for ourselves.
"I still can't believe it was all a test to make sure they can trust me." Yu sweatdropped.
"You better start getting used to it. They'll be doing things like this more often." I chuckled.
"Also, did Himari really mean what she said or was that all part of her scheme earlier?" Yu questioned.
"I'm so sorry if Himari got to you. And no, Himari didn't mean what she said. She apologized to me earlier and she just did that because she didn't want me to know about her plan." I informed him.
"Just so you know, she actually does act like that around our family. But she won't do anything that can potentially ruin our reputation." I added.
"But isn't bringing up the past going to ruin your reputation? I mean, I could easily tell everyone about it, but you know I wouldn't do that...you know what I mean." he sighed.
"Well, yeah. But I can tell she trusts you a lot. I think that's why she decided to tell you about it, even though you already knew." I replied.
"She did tell you the family secret. I hope it doesn't bother you if our family is like this." I began to worry.
"Don't worry. I know you're not like them. I'm sure you would only be like them if you're in trouble." Yu reassured.
"Gosh, how did I get so lucky to have you?" I sighed. I really am lucky, huh?
"As for the final event of this L/n Family Reunion, we shall have our traditional ballroom dance!"
"Traditional ballroom dance?" Yu questioned, raising a brow at me. He was expecting me to answer his question.
"Every family reunion, we would have a ballroom dance at the very end. I'll try to help you out here since you're new to it." I reassured.
"Help me out? Is there even a way to do that?" he inquired, still not getting what I mean.
"Meaning, when it's time for us to switch, I'll send you to Himari or Rei. They'll help you get the hang of the dance." I explained.
"I see. But how are you so sure they will help me?" he questioned.
"They're my sisters. I'm sure they will will try to help you as much as possible." I reminded.
"Kindly pick your desired partner and we will begin switching in a few minutes. Have fun!"
"So uhm..." Yu began to fiddle with his fingers as we made our way back to our table.
"Yeah?" I turned to him, making us both stop walking.
"Shall we...dance?" he mumbled with his hand extended towards me. He wore a bashful look as he averted his gaze from me, rubbing his nape sheepishly with his free hand.
"You seriously never fail to surprise me." I giggled, placing my wine glass down on the table.
I accepted his offer and placed my hand on top of his. He stared into my eyes for a moment and just froze.
Knowing him, he's probably not going to move and would probably stay frozen in that spot.
(A/N: Let it go!!)
"Don't space out on me like that. Come on. We don't have forever." I scolded, dragging him to the center of the room.
The music began to play. The soft and yet alluring music rang through everyone's ears, alerting the beginning of the traditional L/n ballroom dance.
"First, place your hand on my back and give me your hand...just like that." I instructed. He followed what I said.
"Now, follow my lead." I ordered, making him nod.

(A/N: Play the song! If it doesn't seem to work, try playing it on yt while reading this.)
When Y/n flowed in dance, it was as if it were the only way her body truly knew how to speak.
On stage, her personality, her sensuality burst through into the most vibrant picture of a beautiful soul.
Ishigami watched her move to the music filling the banquet hall. They twirled and spun in the middle of the room.
He didn't even realize he was dancing with her. The only thing that was on his mind was how graceful Y/n danced.
After all, Y/n had been taught this dance ever since she was a child. It's only natural for her to have already mastered it.
"The first switch is coming up. Get ready for it." Y/n informed him as they swayed to the right, he gave Y/n a little twirl.
"Switch?" Ishigami repeated, raising a brow at the girl. He heard about it earlier but forgot to ask.
"It's when we switch partners. I'll be dancing with someone else and you'll be dancing with someone else." Y/n explained.
"You'll have to dance with someone else?" Ishigami muttered, a hint of jealousy displaying on his face.
"Don't worry. I'll dance with someone who I can trust, like Issey or one of my cousins, perhaps." Y/n reassured.
"I trust Issey more than your cousins. So stay with Issey as much as possible." Ishigami huffed.
"I'll try. I'll hand you over to Rei. She'll teach you how to greet people when you dance with them." Y/n informed as the announcer told them to switch.
"See you soon!" Y/n exclaimed with a grin as she let go of Ishigami's hand. Ishigami spun in circles until Rei grabbed ahold of him.
"Careful! It would be super duper hilarious if you fall on the ground during the dance." Rei giggled.
"S-Sorry. I'm still getting the hang of this dance." Ishigami sighed.
Rei taught him how to do simple steps and when you should spin your partner.
"Like this?" Ishigami asked, twirling her around. Rei chuckled and nodded her head.
She also taught him how to greet people when he meets them to dance.
"When you meet someone, don't forget to greet them with a smile. Try to understand their behavior and adjust." she instructed as they swayed to the left.
"Understood." Ishigami nodded. That's when he noticed the worried look on Rei's face.
"Also, take care of Y/n for us, okay? I may not act like it, but she means a lot to me. And as her older sister, I want the best for her." she told me with a smile.
"Promise me that you will do anything to make her smile. Make her smile even if she's not feeling her best." Rei said.
"I promise." Ishigami responded, making Rei sigh in relief. The announcer told them to switch.
This time, Rei added a bit more force than what was needed, making Ishigami spin in even more circles.
"You're not a ballerina, calm down. It would be a shame if you embarrassed yourself in front of our family." Himari helped him regain his balance.
"Sorry. Rei spun me a bit too much than what was necessary." Ishigami gave her a smile, just like what Rei had instructed him to do.
"It seems like you know the basics. At least I won't have to deal with a beginner." Himari mumbled as she began to lead the dance.
"Oh, and try not to step on my foot. You don't want to annoy others, now would you?" she theoretically asked.
"O-Of course not. Sorry." Ishigami apologized again, feeling pressured to do better in order to feel acknowledged.
This caught Himari's attention since she began to feel guilty. She didn't mean to make it sound like an insult.
"Learning the L/n dance is difficult and not an easy thing to learn right off the bat. So you can make mistakes with me. Just try not to overdo it, okay?" Himari rephrased.
"I'll do my best." Ishigami stammered.
"Oh yeah, just to remind you, I'm not the nicest person out there. So if you break Y/n's heart, I'll destroy your life and bring your family's reputation to the ground." Himari warned.
"Do you understand?" Himari gave him a sweet smile as she tightened her grip on his wrist.
Ishigami eagerly nodded. Plus, he wasn't planning on breaking Y/n's heart. He would never do such a cruel thing.
Even if he did break her heart, he's most likely going to turn himself over to the police or kill himself.
I mean what can you say?
He is Ishigami Yu.
"I understand. And I would never hurt her." Ishigami told her.
From the distance, Issey was watching the whole scene as he danced with Y/n.
"I'm so proud of you, Y/n. You found a man that will treat you like his queen." Issey smiled.
"I really am lucky, huh?" Y/n chuckled.
"Final switch!" the announcer said, the music always seemed to speed up everytime a switch was called.
"Go get your girl!" Himari exclaimed and spun him in circles. She made sure to spin him towards Y/n's direction.
Ishigami had been spun so many times, he couldn't even look at something without seeing a double image of it.
"Yu, are you okay? Did Himari spin you a little too much?" Y/n held his hand, which immediately flustered the man as his vision began to get better.
"Yeah, what's up with your sisters spinning me a lot? I don't recall being a spinning top." Ishigami joked which made Y/n laugh.
People around them began to adjust to their partner and dance to the sound of the music.
The reunited lovebirds continued to dance and spin, but this time, they weren't focused on the people around them.
They were lost in each other's eyes.
The lights were twinkling with every step as partners spun in delicate circles, the ladies's dresses billowing out.
Y/n used to hate things like this, the pressure of a warm hand on her back and the feeling of her agile feet gliding along the floor made her disgusted.
She hated every part of it. After all, this little dance of the L/n's was just showing part of their tradition.
The main goal of this dance is to adjust to various partners while changing into a personality that will suit them.
But she liked it when she danced with Ishigami. She felt no need to put on a persona and fake a smile.
She didn't need to follow the number one rule of the L/n's. She felt free, relaxed, and at ease whenever Ishigami's presence was nearby.
Ishigami found it quite fascinating.
How Y/n managed to build up her confidence and be her usual self when she's around him.
How she smiled so freely around him.
How her spirit seemed to lighten up when she joined the Student Council.
And how he managed to fall even more for her as days pass by.
The music spun around them lifting away gravity. Y/n couldn't count how many times Ishigami had squished her foot under his own.
Still, she smiled brightly as their heels clicked over the ballroom floor.
"Calm down, Yu. Just follow my lead and relax." Y/n instructed, taking the lead.
She didn't mind it like this.
She knew that their love wasn't perfect to others. She knew that their love had multiple holes in it.
But it was fine. They were fine with it. They didn't care if they weren't the perfect couple in other people's perspective.
They found their relationship perfect, just the way it is.
He watched as her hair spun out and bounced more with each move and beat.
The music suddenly changed from an elegant, but upbeat music, to a slow dance music. How clichรฉ.
The slow music twirled like thread around all of them. This never failed to catch them by surprise since this would happen randomly.
Of course, this was another test to see if you can adjust to the changing of the music at any given time.
Or alternatively, this was a test to see if you can adjust to different people out of the blue.
Y/n rested her head on his chest, and let him sway her body 'round and 'round again.
Y/n thinks she has fallen deeper for him. Ishigami thinks that he had fallen even more for her.
They both knew that they wanted to be by each other's side when they grow older.
The music stayed in slow dance mode, which surprised all of them, but they regained their composure.
The two met at the hands. Ishigami gently grabbed her hand in his, making Y/n intertwine their fingers.
This was perfect.
This was dancing and art coming to life. Strong pointed moves didn't matter here anymore.
And that is the reason why they felt at ease when they were by each others' side.
Y/n looked up at him with her sparkling e/c eyes that never failed to make Ishigami's heart skip a beat.
He couldn't resist the urge anymore after staring into her gorgeous eyes. But Y/n initiated it first.
She stood up on her toes and placed her lips on his. Ishigami was surprised at first, but melted into the kiss.
He snaked his arms around her waist as Y/n lazily rested her arms on his shoulders.
Issey smiled to himself as he saw the two. Rei and Himari both high-fived each other, like the supportive siblings they are.
Y/n's father resisted the urge to march his way over and break the two of them apart, since he did not like the sight of Y/n being taken away from.
L/n Yui, Y/n's mother, just gave them a gentle smile with her hand rested on her cheek.
In a world full of pressure and being someone that people expect you to be, it only makes it difficult for the person to show who they truly are.
Some don't even acknowledge the real you and instead, they appreciate the person that they expect you to be or who you pretend to be.
But when Y/n was around Ishigami, she wasn't afraid of showing who she truly was.
When Ishigami's around Y/n, he felt wanted and needed. He didn't feel like a piece of trash, just waiting to be picked up by the garbage truck.
In a world full of expections, all that matters is the person in front of you, who will be there to make you forget about everything around you.
The two cherry blossom petals twirled around each other, as if they were in their own little world. Alone together.
