That night, you weren't the only one who realised something. This, someone, had realised it, they couldn't sleep last night after all. They were scared. They wanted to push you away but didn't want to hurt you either. You were living right there in their house.

But guess what? It was Christmas, something not so exciting for everyone - you celebrated it every year. But it was for you.

Flashback

"Mom, Dad, why do we celebrate Christmas?" Sakura asked as she hanged the stars in the Christmas tree.

You nodded as you looked at your parents and Mori with them who was with Ellise.

"I heard that–"

"We celebrate it with our loved ones to thank them and give them gifts and remember the birth of Jesus Christ"

"I see~!" You hummed happily while hugging your mom as she laughed out, "Can we always do this? I want a detective hat!"

"Is that what you wanna be?" Mori asks curiously.

"Yes!" You and Sakura exclaim excitedly, "We both want to save people!"

"I see." Your dad states, smiling warmly, "Well you should open your gifts"

It was just what you both wanted. A detective cap! It was in colour black, something that could match all the clothes [just like Ranpo].

"Thank you dad!" You both hugged him happily while he laughed, "It's a matter of time until you grow up and learn a few things.."

"Hm?" Sakura asks innocently.

"Nothing"

"I can't wait to grow up!" You giggled.

"I can't wait to grow up" You sigh smiling while remembering a few things. Every child did but somehow, you regretted it sometimes, who knew it would be the opposite.. You weren't able to save everyone. You got ready with your office clothes and wore a f/c hoodie on top of it and the same detective hat. 

This morning, you didn't meet Dazai, even though your breakfast was there, a note with it, like the past few days.. Dazai always put notes but he had almost started to ignore you, little by little, You weren't sure why or what you did wrong, but you never found the chance to talk to him either.

You entered the office as you wished everyone. The tree was already there and so were the gifts. You all had secretly put gifts for each other, which would be revealed later on.

"I put a secret mistletoe" Ranpo stated as you pouted, finding it unfair.

"But then you would know and won't go there, that's not fair!"

"I told Kyouka to, don't worry, plus I would have already figured it out anyway"

You whined as you heard a familiar laugh, it was Dazai's.

"Ah well, let's not support pedophilia"

"Obviously" Atsushi sulked.

~Time Skip~

"Cheers!" Everyone exclaimed as they drank their orange juice, you guys decided not to drink too much since what happened with Dazai last time. You all finished the snacks which were made for each other. The president was there too, even so he didn't participate much, you could see secretly how much he enjoyed it.

You looked for your gifts as you found yourself new clothes [Yosano and Naomi/Tanizaki], a notebook [Kunikida, which was actually useful], a photo album and polaroid [from Atsushi and Kyouka - You told them how much you enjoyed taking pictures to remember memories], your favourite sweets [Ranpo and Kenji ofc], a rain coat [The president - you had a small problem from getting wet while using your ability, and for last, Dazai, he gave you a bunch of pics you took from the Mafia with him and had eventually lost with a beautiful black pendant and two books you had wished for, you were surprised yet your cheeks bloomed red at the fact that he still remembered.

You kept them gently, being thankful for each of them as you saw Dazai staring at you from afar. You wanted to talk with him about how he had been ignoring you and also make you where this pendant since you loved it, and so, you decided to come up to him.

"Dazai!"

"H-Huh?" He snapped out from whatever he was thinking about as he looked up and then looked back out you, "Don't–"

Too late.

You heard Yosano whistle as you curiously glanced at her and then remembered where Dazai looked before telling you to not come. It was exactly what you feared for. A mistle toe. Fuck.

"So-" You heard Atsushi blush and sweatdroped at the same time.

"Right..." You gulped. You eyes made their ways to his lips as your lips had made a gap between them, you were curious about how it tasted. But you decided to kiss him on the cheeks, it was a kiss after all, an accurate one for a friend... You didn't want him to hate you more. If he did.

You both made the same move at the same time which caused it to not be the result you both "wanted", a kiss. How was that even possible-

It lasted for a few seconds before you both pulled away, realising what you both did. You both blushed intensely, you pupils were hella large then it's normal size.

"I-I am s-sorry!" You both exclaimed, at the same time, again. You looked down in order to distract yourself from the thoughts which kept telling you wanted more, you wanted it to be longer.

Ranpo chuckled as he expected this all to happen, the rest were either have a mental breakdown [because they shipped them??] or just blushing heavily, maybe a few of them, basically the children just being in surprise [please don't forget to cover their eyes next time-]. 

Trying not to make the situation more embarrassing for you two, the president changed the topic to how they were going to open his presents now.

While this all happened, you were still shaken up while Dazai... He had fully realised something, and he exactly knew what to do about this, he already tried.
