RI SPEAKS!!

Okay, I chickened out of doing the christmas special. I watched it, like, a hundred times and could not think of how to write Blake and Ellie in well so I gave up on that. I'm republishing this intro to act 5 'cause I just wrote a quick synopsis for it so that we can ease into vol. 3 smoothly.

This book is now back to being my main priority now that I finished my other fic! I rewatched the movie and started writing the first chapter and I'm already crying. Writing this is hard enough so we'll see how this goes! Anyways, hope you enjoy the last act of Astronomy!

It had been a little over a year since the events that took place on Earth. The guardians had taken Thor onto their ship where he had lost weight and regained the god-like physic Ellie drooled over. After some epic battles with the God of Thunder, he left them to continue on his own path.

With Quill's heart barely keeping it together, the guardians settled in Knowhere, building a warmer more civilized society from the ground up. Ellie had brought up the idea, randomly spouting about the horrid state the small planet had been in the last time they were there.

While one Quill brother could never be happier with his girlfriend back in his arms, the other had fallen into a drinking habit. An odd trait the brothers shared that Rocket felt the need to point out whenever possible.

To cheer Peter up, the guardians planned an earth tradition, a Christmas party, but that went a little south when Drax and Mantis kidnapped Peter's hero, Kevin Bacon. Still, they managed, having fun and giving gifts to those they loved.

As his gift, Rocket fixed Gamora's sword for Ellie to use. He also returned her bracelets, having refused to take them off for a while since he had grown accustomed to them making notches in the fur of his wrist over the past five years.

Blake had gotten her a new blue leather jacket as well as a new Polaroid camera he had gotten from Earth. He had gotten another item on his trip, but that was stashed in secret, with Rocket the only one in the know, for a later time.

In all their chaos, the guardians were content, watching over Knowhere with no problems until a man with gold skin and powers beyond the guardians attacked, leaving one of their own in a fatal condition.

In the race to save Rocket, Ellie struggles with her past. The memories her mind had pushed her so hard to forget bubbling to the surface.
