"yeah we watched it but we tired of them dropping episodes one by one like if you don't drop all them damn episodes and call it a damn day" jarvis said beside javion which made joy laugh
"okay not too much" joy said the chuckled

"okay so who's y'all favorite couple besides me and kordell?" joy asked
"kenny and jana hands down!" jordan and javon said at the same time
"i like leah and miguel cause leah's cute" javion said making joy gasp then laugh
"nah i liked leah with rob but miguel definitely cool people i like him" jarvis said
"but you and kordell our top one!" jordan said excitedly which made joy smile
"ayeee!" joy squealed clapping her hands together
"where is he?" javon said
"y'all wanna met him now?" joy said
"please!" the boys said in sync
joy smiled and stood up before she walked out the back garden
"kordell! come on!" joy screamed
"oh shit" kordell said and immediately started making his way towards her
all the islanders cheered for kordell who was completely nervous
joy grabbed kordell's hand and she pulled him into the garden and sat at the stairs
she looked up at the big screen staring at her brothers who were slap boxing eachother
"there back there here!" jordan said to jarvis and javion who were slap boxing
the boys stopped and got right back into their spots like nothing happened
"if it isn't kordeezy" jarvis said making kordell laugh along with joy

jordan leaned closer to the screen

she just shrugged and looked back at screen giggling
"relax kordell we're just messing with you well... kind of" jarvis said finally cracking a smile
"alright let's get to it why'd you bring another girl back from casa amor bruh? you're lucky joy even let you sit next to her right now" javion said
kordell gulped feeling the pressure of all four pairs of eyes glaring at him through the screen
"listen that was a mistake I was confused okay? but joy's the one for me I swear I'll do whatever it takes to prove it to her and to y'all" kordell said
"whatever it takes? you willing to fight us in the ring?" javon said
kordell stared at the screen with his jaw dropping

all four brothers bursted out laughing and kordell breathed a sigh of relief joy however was cackling the hardest

joy just smiled at the boys joking until her mom's face appeared on the screen beside them looking glamorous but radiating a no-nonsense vibe
"aww mama!" joy squealed seeing her mother's face
"hello baby! aw that's kordell!" her mom jamika said warmly then narrowed her eyes at kordell
joy bit her lip to hold back a laugh
"yup this is kordell ma, say hi kordell" joy said nudging kordell in the arm who was smiling nervously

her mom tilted her head scrutinizing him

"mom don't go easy on him!" javon shouted
"stop being dumb y'all know my man can cook he been cooking me alot of food ever since I came up in this villa" joy said
"ask him if he's got a real job lined up after this show!" jarvis added laughing which made kordell's jaw drop
"wait.. man y'all planned this?!" kordell chuckled
joy doubled over laughing with her head resting on kordell's shoulder
jamika shook her head with a smile
"alright leave the boy alone for now" jamika chuckled
"okay mom what do you think about him?" joy smiled
"he a real one i can see he actually likes you and im so happy for you baby ever since I started watching the show you have a big smile on your face when your around him you definitely deserve it, and kordell thank you for being there for my daughter even after your fuck up" jamika said
"I promise I'm not fucking up ever again!" kordell said truthfully

"damn you guys love those two" joy said

joy smiled until she peeped her brothers not in the video chat anymore
"where the other four lunatics go?" joy said
"back on that damn game you know they always playing it" jamika said

"it must be boring just being there with some damn sofas and avocado toast" jamika said

"I already know! my daughter probably tired of eating avocado toast" jamika said
"nah she don't eat it I been making her eggs, hush browns, and some waffles" kordell said
"yeah I be seeing you going up to the makeup room giving her plates after the show I need to try one of your dishes to see for myself" jamika said

joy was about to speak until another screen chimed in beside her mother which made her gasp and kordell laugh
"that's my mama karen" kordell smiled
"aw hey" joy smiled waving at the screen and of course karen waved back
jamika smiled and waved at the screen aswell with a welcoming smile on her face
"hello miss karen" jamika said
"oh my god that's my godmama karen" kordell said
"aw how are you joy" karen said
"im good I'm doing really good how are you?" joy said nervously
"I'm doing fine!" karen said
"it's so nice to meet you" joy said

"oh this is my mom her name is jamika" joy said introducing her mother who was now nervous smiling at the camera

"no cause joy it is so nice to meet you I've been waiting like waiting I been counting down the days to when the show was finally gonna be over" karen said
"aw stop!" joy blushed
"your so beautiful" karen said looking at the girl in awe which made kordell nod

"im so proud of you two, I mean you guys came a long way even after kordell decided to do sum unnecessary things" karen said making the couple laugh
"man y'all gotta stop bringing up my past" kordell said
"boy that was like two weeks ago" jamika said making everyone laugh

"it's okay cause if joy forgave you then i do too i love seeing my daughter happy she deserves it all" jamika said
"and i love seeing you happy kordell so don't do anything to mess up your happiness" karen said

"so like are you guys excited to finally leave the villa? together? I seen that one episode where you guys were already making plans talking about the future" karen said
"yes I'm so exited to leave the villa with kordell I mean we came a long way" joy said making kordell nod in agreement
"baby I'm just so happy you found your endgame like I'm about to cry" jamika said then pouted to her daughter
"nah don't start the tears man" kordell said
"no you guys gotta understand you guys just so cute together it just all makes sense and we obviously both love seeing you two happy and we're proud of you guys" karen said
"thank you" the couple said in sync
"mom please don't cry" joy said
"I'll try not to but like I'm just happy for you and seeing you on that show like it just so like cute and the way everyone been treating you like jana and leah is so sweet I haven't even met those girls and I love them to death already" jamika said fanning herself
"awww mom stop" joy said then pouted
"but we love you guys and we can't wait to see the two of you back home" karen said
"it's a pleasure meeting you kordell I can't wait to meet you in person" jamika said
"you too joy you are too pretty! and such a sweet girl I can't wait to see you guys after the show" karen said
"aww thanks again! and we love you guys too" joy smiled

after that that's when the call ended and joy smiled at kordell who was already looking at her
"your family is funny" kordell chuckled

that's when they heard a connection noise and they snapped their head towards the scene seeing a man and kordell immediately started laughing
"pops!" kordell said
"hi" joy said with a smile on her face

"hi it's nice meeting you" joy dragged out while waving at the screen

"I just really like him alot even after what he did he understood where i was coming from and took accountability for it you guys did your thing with raising him so perfectly" joy smiled while kordell stared at her admiring how beautiful she was

"well ima give u guys sum time to talk and catch up it was really nice meeting you mr odell" joy said
"you too" mr odell said and then smiled
before joy can stand up kordell kissed her on the lips then she made her way out the garden
joy immediately ran to find leah and jana and once she seen them at a sofa she immediately went to them
"oh my gosh joy! how did it go" leah said putting a smile on her face
"it went so good i can literally cry right now i don't know why" joy chuckled
"I know your brothers are whole vibe but what about kordell?" leah said
"oh my gosh it was too much jokes being thrown" joy said flipping her hair
"im telling you now I would get along with those boys so perfectly" leah laughed
"okay how bout kordell's family part?" jana said
"it went good like I already love his god mom and his dad I like him but he kinda scares me" joy said then cringed and then laughed
"bye not the dad scaring you" jana said
"no he was nice but I don't know I just got scared" joy said
"well atleast it went good" jana said

"so how did it feel talking to your mom?" jana said
"I miss my mom" joy said softly with her voice almost lost in the stillness of the room
leah and jana glanced at each other before shifting closer to her
"that facetime got you feeling some type of way huh?" leah asked gently
joy nodded blinking rapidly as her vision blurred
"It's just... seeing her again even just on a screen it made me realize how long I've been away she looked so tired y'all like really tired" joy said
jana reached for joy's hand squeezing it lightly
"she's holding it down back home isn't she?" jana said
joy exhaled shakily trying to steady her emotions but the floodgates are already cracked
"she is she always has my mom's a single mom and she's out here raising four boys by herself four! and my brothers? they're a handful she acts tough like she's got it all under control but I know her I know she's struggling" joy said
a tear slipped down joy's cheek and she quickly wiped it away but it was no use
the weight of everything pressed against her chest and before she knew it she was fully crying
leah pulled her in closer
"oh joy..." leah said
"I just this is the longest I've ever been away from her and I know she wanted me to come on this show, to live my life and experience new things, but... what if she needs me? what if she's home barely keeping it together wishing I'd just come back already?" joy sniffled shaking her head
jana's eyes glistened with tears now too
"she wouldn't want you to think like that joy she loves you too much to want you to give up your dreams for her" jana said
"I know, but I also know she misses me I could see it in her eyes she smiled the whole time acted all strong but I know my mom I know when she's putting on a front she just won't say it because she doesn't want me to feel guilty" joy whispered with her voice trembling
leah wiped at her own tears
"that's what moms do they always put us first even when they're hurting" leah said
joy nodded with her body shaking with silent sobs
"I hate that she has to do everything alone I hate that she never gets a break I should be there helping with my brothers making her laugh when she's stressed just being there but instead I'm here" joy said
"she'd be so proud of you though she already is" jana said as her voice cracked
joy let out a watery laugh
"she told me to stop making bad decisions on national TV" joy said
leah giggled through her own tears nudging joy playfully
"a true mom" leah said
they all laughed but it quickly turned into more sniffles and shared sobs
leah and jana didn't even hesitate they both wrapped their arms around joy pulling her into a tight warm embrace
"we love you joy" jana murmured
"and she loves you more than anything she's strong but you're her baby no matter how far you are she knows you love her and I bet she brags about you to everyone" leah added
joy buried her face in their shoulders letting herself cry freely now
"I just miss her so much" joy said
leah stroked her back soothingly
"she misses you too babe but she knows you'll be home soon and when you are? you better believe she's gonna squeeze the life out of you the second she sees you" leah said
joy sniffled finally pulling back to wipe her face
"I can't wait for that" joy said
the three of them sat there hugging tightly with their sniffles filling the quiet villa
no words were needed anymore just the comfort of knowing that even in this wild villa some bonds will always be unbreakable
after they wiped each other's tears they catched up and talked about random celebrities then they were interrupted by kordell's voice
"jojo!" kordell shouted
joy immediately gasped and ran away from the sofa to the boy
"I got one more person you might wanna meet" kordell said
"what?" joy said
"come on girl" kordell said
"your gonna meet his brother" jana said
"my brother wants to meet you" kordell said

kordell grabbed her hand and they made their way back to the garden
joy sat right beside kordell putting her eyes on the screen seeing the familiar face

it was kordell's older brother who was a famous foot ball player odell jr. but OJ for short
she knew about him but wasn't too into the football stuff
"I'm smiling ear to ear just looking at you two man" odell said making kordell chuckle

"first time i seen y'all i just knew he was gonna go for u cause his face lit up once he seen you" odell said
