✦ 𝙋ENELOPE ✦
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

𝙏his is the last letter, it has to be. Penelope was writing another letter, with Remus, James and Peter in front of her. Sirius was plastered beside her, talking loudly about how orange was not his color. Penelope could care less, as she told herself that she absolutely hated these people. (They're dumb, rough and downright idiots. They can't be her friends.) She made a promise to herself that this has to be the absolute last letter to Narcissa, seeing as that the blond girl was ignoring her, though Penelope didn't know why. But then again, it might be because she sold her out to Ada and feels guilty about it, hence her not replying to all the letters. Penelope sighed, setting down her quill. I've got to stop. Remus and James each raised a brow at the Prefect and Penelope rubbed at her eyes, feeling the fatigue settle in.

"β€”s my first sign of magic. I bloody hated that ugly orange jumper and my mum tried to make me wear it, it disappearedβ€”"

"Do you have a pause button?" Penelope asked the rambling boy. "Or even better, a mute button?"

"The only button I have, is one to increase my volume." Sirius shrugged and Penelope glared at him.

"Talk like you're in a bloody bar and I swear to Merlin I will take seventy points from Gryffindor."

"You can't just do that Penny, there's got to be a good reason why you take points from me, you can't just do it." Sirius argued.

"Annoying me is a pretty good reason to me, so don't bloody try meβ€”"

"Hey Penny, haven't seen you all day." Elora sunk in beside Peter, resulting in the boy blushing a bright red. It was no secret Peter had a humongous crush on Elora, and that she absolutely didn't feel the same, not even one bit. It was kind of sad but Penelope could care less about Peter's feelings. He's not her friend and never will be.

Penelope only hummed in response, jamming a lemon infused tart into her mouth, hoping Elora got the message and just shuts up. Some might think it was completely dumb and childish of Penelope, but Elora was one of the people she trusted the most. Shows how trust can be a deadly ordeal.

(Maybe her mother had been right about friends after all. All they do is stab you numerous times in the back and just leave.)

"Did you have a talk with Sev?" Elora asked and Penelope shrugged. "Because heβ€”umβ€”did this to me because he was angry andβ€”"

"What did he do?" Remus asked in a caring voice. Penelope wasn't in the mood to talk to Elora, but she needed to know what Severus did. Elora raised her hand and the first thing Penelope noticed was the titanium white bandage around her wrist.

"Is that broken Snape?" James asked, furrowing his brow. Penelope knew James, there was no concern behind his voice. He just didn't care and he didn't consider her as a friend. Not that Penelope cared.

"My wrist is sprained but my thumb is broken." Elora sighed. "He said he needed a test subject to test out his new spell and I agreed, because he's talking to me rather than ignoring me. That's when he told me that someone spoke to him about the thing and next thing I knew, I was cradling a painful hand."

Penelope wanted to ignore that piece of information, just like she wanted to ignore the headline she saw, but she couldn't. No matter the fact that Elora lied to her, she was still her friend and friends stick together, no matter what. Penelope wanted to make Severus felt pain as well, she wanted to make him bleed, that will teach him to never mess with Elora ever again. Penelope wanted to humiliate him, and she knew the perfect way how. After all, the four Marauders sat right in front and next to her.

✦ 𝙀LORA ✦
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

𝙀lora didn't know what was happening, but she has began a habit to lie to Penelope. First, it was about the Dark Lord thing, now, it was about her wrist. She was fine, absolutely fine. Her wrist wasn't sprained and her thumb wasn't broken. Maybe she was trying to stir a war between Severus and Penelope, she can't be the only one at war with her brother, no, it just doesn't work like that. It was wrong of her, but Elora just didn't care. She stood now with Penelope and her friends, Severus under the tree and James sauntered forward, wand in hand and Sirius was grinning. Elora was a little scared for her brother, considering the fact that Penelope told them to deal with him. She should say that it was her all along, but she only kept quiet and watched as James grinned at Severus.

"Whatcha got there Snivellous?" James asked, and like always, Lily was the first to defend him.

"Deflate your head Pβ€”"

"Stay out of this you mudblood." Penelope growled at Lily, who looked taken aback. Even Elora was taken back. Lily had been their friend up until Narcissa showed up. Bloody Narcissa stole everything from Elora. She stole Penelope from her, she stole her best friend.

"Prefects aren't suβ€”"

"Do I look like I fucking care?" Penelope asked, a bored tone lingering in her voice. "Now move, we're here to talk to Severus."

Lily reluctantly moved to stand beside Elora, who remained emotionless. She watched as James levitated her brother, and she bawled her fists at her sides. Do something, do something, just do something. But her feet stayed glued to the ground and her fists remained at her sides. She saw a tiny smirk grow on Penelope's face. Say something. Tell her you lied.

"Who wants to see me take Snivellous' trousers off?!" James bellowed, a mischievous glint in his eyes and a grin spread across his face. Do something. Stop it Elora.

Everyone cheered and James nodded at Sirius, who flicked his wand and Severus' pants slid up, revealing his brown, splotchy underpants and Elora gritted her teeth, trying to calm herself. It's her fault, it's all her fault, but she only closed her eyes, listening to the laughter all around her.

"Stop! Please just stop it!" Lily cried out, trying to pry James' wand out of his hand. She succeeded, and Severus fell with a loud thud. He immediately pulled his pants up, his dark hair concealing his red cheeks and he casted his eyes towards his sister, who had her eyes squeezed shut, face red. "Sev, are you alrightβ€”"

"Get off me mudblood!" Snape bellowed and Elora's eyes snapped open, not actually believing her own brother said that, even though she knew Severus was capable of it. He was always fascinated by the Dark Lord and the dark side of life.

"Fine! Be that way! I've stuck by your side the entire time Sev, when everyone told me that I'm wasting my time on you, I called them liars! I thought we were supposed to be friends Sev! What happened to always?!" Lily's face was red with rage. "Goodbye Snivellous." The redhead snarled and stood next to Penelope, who raised a hand and patted her shoulder as she began crying.

"I didn't need you, I don't need you now. Sometimes always is just a few years. I'll survive without you." Elora knew her brother was lying. Lily was his everything, Lily was his joy and his pride, Lily was his saving grace. "And you, you're just as bad as them, a mudbloodβ€”"

"Finish that sentence Severus, I dare you." Elora huffed out, trying to sound brave but everyone could hear the cracks in her sculpted voice. "I'm not your doormat anymore!"

"Fine, you're just as bad as them, a mudblood and a traitor. You got bloody Hufflepuff when we were supposed to be in Slytherin together! We were supposed to make them bow to us! We were supposed to be the rulers of this school!" Severus was panting and before anyone knew it, Penelope's tiny fist connected with Severus' jaw.

Her glare was icy and stone hard as she stared down at him, as he had fell over. "I told you Snivellous, stay away from Elora and we won't have any problems." Penelope rubbed her sore knuckles. "Stay clear of my path, I shall do the very same."

Elora Snape had the choice to tell Penelope right now that she had been lying all along, but she didn't. Instead, she kept quiet and let Penelope drag her, the Marauders and Lily away from the boy on the ground, who was clutching his bleeding mouth. Elora was a coward, a clever one, but very much still a coward.

AN.
maybe I don't need to write Elora's story from the very beginning. Maybe I just need to begin from after her graduation, that'd be interesting, because we've got her pov now, and I absolutely loved Cissy's.

also, some of you guys might think Snape hates Heather because of what Penelope did but nope! It's all because of her father, besides the fact that Remus nearly killed him, except that... I just love adding plot twists and drama!
