πuphemia Potter was a kind woman. Penelope came to learn this when James told her to come with her to his house, stating that they had room enough for the entirety of Britain. James had left Penelope with his mother that day, and Penelope couldn't help but cry when Euphemia had asked her what's wrong. Ada Carrow had never asked her what's wrong, never asked her about her day or feelings. And when Euphemia had done it, Penelope had felt like she belonged somewhere in life, after all this time, she belonged. Her bags had been fetched the next day at the Carrows. Fleamont Potter had went, and his trainee Auror, Alastor Moody. Penelope had stressed the entire day about them, knowing how her parents were, knowing how her sister was. Thankfully, they only returned with her bags and her torn portrait from the Family Tree tapestry. Penelope had taken the piece from Fleamont with hard eyes, but had cried into James' arms that very same night.
Penelope woke up one morning feeling sad. Remus had still disappeared, and Penelope still checked the map every minute she could, never seeing his name. She knew that it was stupid, considering the fact that the map only showed Hogwarts. She also found herself using her Animagus form more, taking Sirius with. While she searched high in the sky, Sirius searched on land. Never once had they been successful. Harold, her owl who James told her that he's going to steal his name for his child, swooped in, carrying an envelope and Penelope sighed. She caught it, sent the owl out with a glare and ripped it open. (She had sent a letter to Narcissa last night, asking her if she had seen Remus.)
Hello Penny,
If you still want to see your precious little boyfriend, you'll do exactly as I tell you to. It's worse enough that you embarrassed our parents in front of blood traitors like the Potters and that you live with them now. I have to redeem the Carrow name.
On the back, I've written the time, date and place of where you must meet me and I'll take you to your boyfriend. He's going to die if you don't come fetch him. Do you know what was a surprise to me? When he turned into a werewolf on a full moon night. That mutt bit one of our best and I unfortunately had to put him out of his misery. Remus will meet the same fate if you don't follow my instructions very carefully.
Don't come with anyone else, leave your wand, try any funny business and he dies. You can follow those three things right? They're simple, I don't want the body count to soar through the sky, I mean I wouldn't mind.
P. S, remember what I said Penny.
Maisie Carrow.
Penelope knew she had to show someone, tell someone, but she couldn't. As she turned the letter over to look at the address, the door opened and she quickly stuffed it into her pockets. The door revealed Sirius Black, who Penelope wanted to bloody strangle right about now.
"I could've been naked Si." Penelope growled at him. Their usual search brought the two together and they were mainly responsible for either turning Euphemia's curls bright yellow or turning Fleamont's tongue blue. At the end of the day, they don't get scolded that much even after Penelope tells the truth because she gets nervous.
"Well then oops." Sirius shrugged. "Now, Phemmy has breakfast ready. Come on, James is already down." He told her and Penelope sent him a smile.
"Will be down, just need to brush my teeth and freshen up." Sirius said something about ladies but disappeared and Penelope quickly took the letter out, turning it over and her breathing momentarily stopped when she read the address.
Malfoy Manor, 1 September, two o'clock.

πaisie Carrow wasn't the same girly girl Penelope knew once upon a time. It's true that the sisters were never that close but they were close. They used to steal their mother's makeup, steal from their father and get punished soon after all because they told the truth when they were nervous. Maybe it was a Carrow thing, Penelope didn't know. But she didn't want her daughter or son to bear the same curse as she does. Maisie kept her hair short now, like Elora used to do in her first year, and Penelope glared into the brown eyes she inherited from their father.
"Penelope!" Maisie had yelled, a grin spreading across her face and she crushed her sister with a hug. Penelope forcefully pushed her away.
"Enough with the sappy shit, where's Rem?" Penelope growled, glaring at her sister. Maisie let out a chuckle before she grabbed the hand of the male she came with. Penelope knew who it was. Amycus Carrow, their Slytherin cousin. He was only nineteen, he shouldn't be here.
"Come on, tomorrow's a full moon and I don't fancy dealing with your stupid boyfriend." Maisie shook her head and Penelope bit her tongue. She was about to tell her that Remus was far more intelligent than she could ever be but decided against it when she remembered that she didn't have a wand.
She felt guilty about leaving James and them at the platform like she had. She had stuffed a note in James hand, telling him that they've got Remus and one in Fleamont's, telling him that they were holding him at Malfoy Manor and gave him exactly the time of when she'll be arriving. Penelope hoped no one would die today because she knew James would never forgive her if his father died. Remus was lying on the floor, blood on his clothesβwhich was still his Gryffindor robesβand on his skin. Penelope immediately rushed to his side kneeling down and brushing the hair out his eyes.
"Penny?" Remus meekly whispered and tears filled Penelope's eyes.
"Shh love, don't say anything. I'm here, you're safe now." She whispered, trying to stop the tears from falling.
"And this, dear cousin, is why you should never fall in love. It's dumb and makes you human." Maisie spat out before footsteps could be heard. Maisie moved aside to reveal Narcissa and Penelope charged towards her.
"You foul, lying, back stabbing bitch!" She growled, already swinging and her fist met air as Narcissa quickly ducked, not once loosing her grace. "Cowards! The lot of you!"
Maisie laughed. "Yeah, whatever. Now listen Penny, if you want him, you have to become one of us," Maisie grinned wildly, rolling up her left sleeve and the Dark Mark sat proudly on her ivory skin. "You have to serve him."
Penelope thought of James, of Sirius, of Peter, of Elora, of Euphemia and Fleamont's as she looked at Remus. They'll never stop, they're only going to hurt the people she loves more and more. She thought of James' stupid jokes that always seemed to make her smile, she thought of how Sirius searched the entire of Godric's Hollow with her, she thought of Peter's mint bars and how they lighten her mood, she thought of Elora's usual chirpy voice and how it cheered her up, she thought of how Euphemia welcomed her into her house with open arms even though she could've easily turned her away, she thought of how Fleamont went to fetch her luggage at Carrow Manor even when he knew the risks. Penelope sadly smiled when she remembered the first kiss she had with Remus. It had been in the library, Remus had been helping Penelope with her History essay. She remembered how it felt and the laugh they shared after that. It had happened in their fifth year and they had been together since until last year, when Remus had attacked Penelope and James.
Penelope nodded. "For Rem." She whispered to herself, extending her pale arm towards her sister, who grinned madly at her and she dug her wand into her arm.

AN.
say hello and goodbye to Maisie Carrow because she's never gonna appear again because I fucking hate her and she deserves what's coming to her. Anyway, a few more chapters to go and then it will be au revoir to anthem of the angels!
Some things will be revealed about Heather that will leave you shocked. Some that Remus didn't even know, he only found out after she had been born.
Just know that I'm sorry.
