A week.

A week without smiles.
A week without laughs.
A week without jokes.
A week without getting annoyed but frustrated.
A week without fights.
A week without childishness.
A week without sleep.
A week without life.

A week without 𝙝𝙚𝙧.
A week without 𝙢𝙚.

She left A week ago, and it feels like eternity.

I was not used to this much silence.
I wasn't used to not seeing her.

It feels empty.
My home is now just house for me.
She is not here.
My room feels just A room.
She is not here.

I still remember A day after she left, when I searched for her the next morning.

Avni reminded me she left.

How it happens?
A person comes in your life,
Becomes A part of it.

As I entered the hall of the palace today,
No one could be seen.

I placed my phone on the table and sat lifelessly on the sofa with my hands supporting my head, eyes closed.

As I opened them, Maa was in front of me.

"Why don't you tell me the reason"? This was the hundredth time she asked me the same question this week and my answer was same,
" We needed break". I said, she raised her brows and sat down beside me.

"How long will this break will be"? She asked.

"I don't know". I replied as usual.

" Viaan". She took my hands in hers, stared at me in the eye.

"Have you ever thought if she doesn't come back". That line hit me in the heart.

What if?

" She have to". My instant reaction got me shocking reaction from Maa and myself.

"Viaan dear, talk and sort things out, I can't See you like that". Maa said, caressing my face.

I frowned.

" How am I "? I asked.

" Miserable". She said without thinking, as if it was a Universal truth.

"It's not as if my life depends on her, I am not.... miserable"? Was I assuring her or myself, was I actually questioning myself.

" It actually does". She said holding A stern eye contact with me.
"What does"? I asked in confusion. Maybe she is determined to know the reason today but it won't come out of me till my death.

" Your life depends on her, maybe you never realised she became an important part of your life, you couldn't sleep this whole week". She tried to reason out.

I shook my head.

"It was because of the new project, I had to look after it". I countered her assumption.

She sighed and stood up, caressed my head and nodded and said,

" I hope you will soon understand its ok to have weaknesses, and understand she is not actually your weakness but strength".

"Good Night". I said and she replied,

" Good Night, I have asked the caretaker to warm the food, have it and don't stress yourself".

I nodded and she was gone.

A sigh left my mouth, was I holding my breathe this whole time.

What she said wasn't deniable but I did deny anyway because weakness is one thing I can't afford when I know who is waiting to use it against me.

And if she will be mine, I would soon die. She is in his house, I couldn't sleep these 7 nights.

A Strange fear is there, fear of loving someone but more than that losing myself if I Lost that one.

I went straight to the room, don't have appetite to have anything this moment.

After taking A cold shower when I came out, my phone was ringing.

A Sudden anticipation aroused in me. Was she calling?

I Looked at the caller ID.

𝘜𝘯𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.....

It's an unknown number, I usually don't receive these calls because there is a high chance nowadays they try to hack phones while on the call, but its like my gut feeling is screaming that its her.

At last I couldn't wait but receive the call.

"Hello". Barely audible Voice was heard from the other end.
But one thing was sure, that wasn't Moon.

" Who's there"? I asked, the person didn't respond for A while.
When I was going to end the call, A man's Voice came, this time audible.

"Viaan Ji".

Darsh?

Why was he calling me, at this time?
He was talking in a low Voice as if afraid someone, a particular person will hear him.

Was I overthinking or....

" I know, I know what Mayank did". He said keeping his voice down.

"Where is she"? I asked, a fear held my heart. I hope she is alright.

" She is in her room, she is ok. I got to know the truth when Mayank called you a week ago, I heard his words. I know he is blackmailing you. I didn't got the chance to talk to you this whole week because 'accidently' Mayank broke my phone and the chip was damaged so I took your number from Didi's phone and had to call from this unknown number". Darsh explained everything and I looked out the window.

The only connection between me and her common, now is the Moon.

"He has a doubt I heard his call". Darsh further said.

" That's good he is just doubtful, don't let him know he is right". I said and sat in the balcony.

"Yes but didi can't talk to you, she is prohibited to do anything other than staying in her room, eating and sleeping, he took her phone away, and I am sure he threadened her with the photos, so she is quiet. I haven't told her I know the truth, but I will soon". Darsh said.

𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬, she can be away from me but not from my eyes.

"I am hiring a hacker". I said , silence from the other side.

" I can help with that".He said, I searched for the contact number I rarely use, that is not feeded in my phone, confidential.

"I know someone". I said and stared at the contact number of the man I never saw but he still sorts things out for me in the past 3 years.

He uses Voice changer and never accepted any meeting in person. We didn't exchange names till now. But I know he is perfect for the task.

Just then I got a call.

𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.....

" I will call you back". I said,
"Sure, I will let you know". He said.
" Take care of her". I said and ended the call.

Received the other one.

"Who were you talking to dear brother in law"? His Voice was enough to make me fume in anger but I kept my tone calm while replying.

"Your brother". I replied, and got a laugh in return.
" You are fun to talk to bro, but let me clear something, dare to contact a hacker and the moment I get to know about it, your whole reputation will be ruined". He threatened me.

"Dare to harm my wife and you won't have a reputation or even body that can be ruined".

I said before ending the call.

I took a firm glance at the moon and closed my eyes.

I wish to meet mine, just watching her isn't enough.
