Its been 3 days since her detention, Amelia sometimes found herself drifting in that boys thoughts. Whenever she saw him she freaked out, she didnt knew what caused this. Whenever she met his eyes, she couldn't stop herself from blushing furiously. He also found himself getting lost in her eyes, or admiring the way she talks or laughs, her laughs became one of Cedric's favourite things. Since that day they didnt get chance to talk again. He remembered the morning after the detention and whenever thought about it couldn't help smiling like a fool.

~FLASHBACK~

CEDRIC'S POV

     I woke and found myself slouching on the cold kitchen floor. I rubbed my eyes to have a look around and to see a neat and tidy kitchen. Everything organised, the sunlight hitting the floor and making it shine like diamonds. But then i remembered what happened last night. Where is she? Maybe she left early, I remember her shifting and placing her head on my chest, she was so comfortable and looked so peaceful I didnt wanted to interrupt her sleep so i placed an arm around her and went to sleep myself.
It was now 6 o'clock on the wall clock. I felt something in my hand and saw a chocolate frog with a small note. It read 'thankyou--A'. I couldn't help but smile. I shoved the thoughts away and placed the chocolate frog in pocket and went to my dorm.

     It was the breakfast time, Amelia was sitting with her slytherin friends. A new girl joined them today, it was Astoria greengrass, the girl draco had a crush on. She didnt seem to take much notice to Draco and was busy chitting with pansy, but draco couldn't help and glance at her every once in a while.

    Amelia found it cute, seeing her bully cousin was a softie when it comes to Astoria. She shook her head grinning and looked in front of her. She instantly met those dark brown eyes. She offered a small smile making both of their cheeks flush. He returned the smile. They kept staring for a few moments untill Amelia was interrupted by Draco who was sitting across her.

     "What are you staring and smiling at?" He asked and looked behind.

    "Nothing important" Amelia said quickly and started eating her sandwich. Draco didnt seem convince but reluctantly nodded and let the topic go. After a while, they got up and headed to their DADA class, Amelia was in a joyful mood since few days and also it was her favourite class.

     As they entered and settled down, they were greeted by an unexpected voice. They saw it was coming from Snape. 'What was he doing here' was the only thought running in everyones minds.

    "Open your books and take out chapter no. 10" Snape said while making his way in the front of the class.

     "Professor where is professor Lupin" Harry asked frowning, causing Amelia to roll her eyes. She knew it was full moon and he couldn't show up because of his furry little problem.

     "I dont see in what way does it concerns you but your professor lupin is unable to teach due to some sickness." Sev sneered at Harry.

    The rest of the class went in granger trying to be bloody know it all and werewolves. Amelia knew he did that on purpose. ' why he's always a git to moony' she thought to herself. She also got to know hermione being suspicious about something.

~~TIME SKIPS TO HAGRID'S CLASS~~

    It was a combined class of slytherins and gryffindors. Amelia was walking with her slytherins friends to Hagrids hut. He then took them to some forest.

    "Open your books chapter 10" said hagrid.

    "And exactly how do we do that" asked Draco.

    "Just stroke the spine" hagrid replied in a 'duh' tone, like its the most obvious thing.

    "Oh yeah how we didnt think about it" said Draco sarcastically, Amelia rolled her eyes and playfully hit draco on arm. She always found Hagrid amazing and fun, bur clearly draco was not much fond of him.

    "I find them funny" She heard hermione say but ignored.

    "Oh yeah terribly funny really witty" draco said in a mocking tone

    "Draco.." Amelia tried to sush him but that didnt help

    "Wait till my father hears about this dumbledores got this oaf teaching classes." He continued, Amelia backed away sat with pansy on a rock and felt guilty for not standing up for hagrid he was so sweet and friendly how could draco possibly hate him.

    "Shut up Malfoy" Harry said coming forward. Draco walked towards him and could feel the tension building. That scene continued which Amelia effortlessly ignored.

    "Tada da dada da.." came hagrids voice, everyone got up and saw what Hagrid brought. Amelia was amazed and she got up and moved forward to get the clear view of the amazing creature.

    "Wow hagrid what is this!?" Amelia asked awestruck.

    "Its a hippogriff you see, its name is Buckbeak." Hagrid said grinning.

    "Now who would like to have a ride of Buckbeak" Hagrid asked. All the students backed away leaving Amelia and Harry standing forward. Amelia didnt back up because she was fascinated and Harry just couldn't process what he saw in front of his eyes.

    "Very good Amelia and Harry come forward bow in front of buckbeak" Hagrid cheered. Amelia was grinning and Harry seemed like he has seen a ghost.

    The both cautiously went forward and bowed and the buckbeak bowed back. Amelia was esctatic she went neared and patted the hippogriff.

    "Careful Amelia" came Draco's voice from behind. She ignored and patted the hippogriff soon Harry joined.

"Very well now I think buckbeak will let you ride it" said Hagrid. Amelia was already so eager to ride it.
Hagrid picked her up and put her on the buckbeak. Amelia squealed in excitement. She traced its feather with amazement.

    Harry was backing away but Hagrid stopped him picked him up. Amelia's eyes widened.

   "Wait I thought we were going to ride it separately" she said to Hagrid.

   "Oh dont worry buckbeak is strong enough to carry you both." Said Hagrid while placing Harry behind Amelia.

"Hagrid I can go after her" Harry said in a bitter tone, while shifting far from Amelia but Hagrid didnt seem to listen.

   "like I want to go with you potter" Amelia rolled her eyes.

    And then No one know what Hagrid did and the buckbeak started running and spreading its feathers and flying high. Both Amelia and Harry started shouting and squealing, Amelia was shouting in excitement and Harry in fear. He was quick to wrap his arms around her waist from behind in fear to fall and hid his face in her hair. Amelia was frozen with the sudden action.

    "H-Harry open your eyes, s-see its such a nice view" she stuttered while holding his hands at her waist.
But he shook his head no in her hair.
Amelia wanted to enjoy and quickly spread her arms enjoying every bit of the moment.

    Soon the buckbeak started to slow down. And it landed, all the students were standing wide eyes , Harry quickly removed his arms from around her and muttered a quick sorry. He tried to get down but failed miserably and falled on his face, earning laughs from the whole class whereas Amelia gracefully jumped and thanked hagrid and moved to her place beside Draco.

    She ran towards him to hug but he pushed past her and marched towards Buckbeak.

    "Draco no!" Amelia called but Draco ignored and immediately got scratched by buckbeak. She rushed forward to help him.

    "O my god Draco are you alright" she exclaimed worriedly and heard potter snicker beside her and shot him a glare causing him to shut his mouth. Hagrid quickly scooped him and carried away to the hospital wing.

    "Wait till my father hears about this, you will pay for this you and your bloody chicken" Amelia hear Draco yell at Hagrid, she rolled her eyes at how drama queen her cousin can be.

~~TIME SKIPS TO EVENING~~

    Amelia was on her way to dungeons to meet her lovely uncle. She would actually meet her godfather but it being full moon she couldnt. She descended down to reach the severus' office. Not bothering to knock she flung the door open and led herself in.

   "I see the mannerless child stepped in" Severus said from his desk without lifting his eyes.

   "Ouch.. how rude of you sev" she mocked with a fake hurt look and a hand on her heart.

   "Anyways what brings you here" Sev asked with a tiny smirk.

   "My endless love for my dearest uncle" she replied dramatically, causing Sev to roll his eyes. She chuckled and seated herself in front of her uncle and started examining his marvellous quills. Which he never allowed her to have as they were damn expensive.

    "Ohh how could I forget!" She exclaimed loudly causing severus to glare at her.

   "What " Severus hissed clearly annoyed by her loudness.

    "Today I rode a hippogriff" she exclaimed with wide sparkling eyes.
She stared at him grinning waiting for his remark that never came just a barely noticeable nod.

   "Are you not going to say anything about it!? " She asked annoyed.

    "What do you want me to say" He said in his monotone voice.

    "Oh god you are such a kill joy, old man" She whined slouching on the chair.

    "Whatever you say insolent girl" He rolled his eyes.

    "That actually hurt" She said offended and standing up.

    "Finally" severus huffed.

   "I am not leaving just now" She said while narrowing her eyes.

   "I know I am not that lucky" He said again in his tone. Amelia groaned making severus smirk.

   She started wandering around the whole office, opening each drawer and examining almost everything.
Severus was quite used too of this habit of her, she did it since she started walking. Amelia moved towards the book shelves that were rather large. Checking the new books in the shelf she saw a small photograph beneath an old worn out book.

    She picked that up and saw two ladies one red head and on black head standing with each other smiling. The blackhead looked somewhat like Amelia, she wondered that maybe her mom. She never saw her mums picture, severus didnt let her know anything about her parents.

    She remembered one incident when she was 9 and asked about her parents to sev, which result in a huge argument, she ended up crying for whole night. And since that day she never repeated that incident as she didnt wanted to face the wrath again. But this time she couldn't hold herself, also wondering who this certain redhead was.

   "Sev" she called without turning.

   "Hmm?" He responded not looking up, busy. She knew he is not going to come so still made her way towards him.

    "Who are these people?" She asked showing the picture to him and saw as he looked up to see the picture, all the colour drain down his face. His eyes widened and breath hitched. He started to respond but eventually started coughing, Amelia frowned and quickly got water and handed him.

   She waited for him to calm down and answer her.

    "Well?" She continued with an eyebrow raised. He snatched the picture from her.

   "No one you need to know" He snarled and held her by her forearm and dragged her out of the room.

"Go and have dinner" he said and shut the door on her face.

Amelia was processing what just happened, with a bewildered expression and a mouth wide agape.
She held the door knob once again and tried to open it but it was locked. Severus must have locked it to avoid any more questions. She thought to herself. ' i will not settle down this easy' she thought to herself again angrily while leaving dungeons.
