It was christmas eve, Amelia sat alone in Sev's chambers. He was gone to 'elder people work' which he didnt tell Amelia about. It was no big deal for Amelia to not have a celebration mood, she never really celebrated christmas growing up with Remus and Severus. Severus always told her there was nothing worth celebration for and Remus was very poor to even buy a few candies for Amelia, and she was alright with it.

Sev was never present on whatever small celebrations Amelia had with Remus. On her birthday he would pass her gifts with any emotions and Remus would just bake a cake for her. But sometimes Amelia had to spend her birthday alone because of Remus' furry little problem. So she was accustomed to no celebrations.

Today as Sev was out for god knows what, so Amelia decided to magically clean his chambers for him. He didnt ask her to but she did it as a christmas gift for him. Amelia never gifted anything to severus because he always denied, a really stubborn man he is. And whenever she would get Remus anything he would felt guilty that he couldn't buy her stuffs. So it was very difficult for Amelia with festivals. She would just wish her friends from beauxbatons and give and recieve gifts from them. That was christmas for Amelia till now.

But now as she has a new family member, so she started expecting something different this time. She hoped maybe her father will celebrate with her, but she had no clue bout where he was. So after having a match of quidditch and 'the talk' with Harry, she stayed in her dorm asleep.
Dumbledore organized a a small christmas feast for the students who were in Hogwarts, Amelia Harry and a few seventh years had the feast quietly.

Next day waking up on the christmas morning was nothing different from the ordinary ones for Amelia. She had to go to her dorm to check if anyone had sent jer letters or something, as owls cannot arrive in dungeons. Reaching there she found a letter from Draco Pansy and Daphne, and a few gifts, there was also a letter from the twins with a small of candies and pranking material. In their letter the twins told her to work on some innovative prank, chuckling she decided she will work on that. Amelia quickly wrote the replies of all the letters and used the hogwarts mail system to mail the letters and gifts.

Draco had given her a wizard writs watch, it was beautiful and damn expensive, Amelia got him his favourite cologne. Pansy got Amelia a friendship bracelet with Amelia's initials engraved on it, and for her Amelia got some hair accessories. Daphne got Amelia a glass showpiece of a snowman and in return Amelia gifted her favourite chrysanthemum perfume. And for the twins she got broom polish. All this shopping was done by Severus as he wouldn't allow Amelia to go all own her own. Amelia also told him to get a few more things which she didnt tell for whom they were.

Amelia told him to buy a red colored woolen scarf which secretly was for Remus although she hadn't had a word with him since more than a whole month but she still wanted to buy him something. And for her father it was very difficult to decide what he would like, at the end she decided to buy him a bunch of things such as perfume, cologne and a photoframe in hopes rhat he will soon get a picture clicked with her and place it in it. The gifts for both her fathers she kept hidden, deciding whenever she'll meet them she will give them.

Also she got a letter and gift from cedric, his honey scent in the letter brightened Amelia's mood. Cedric had gifted her a small silver necklace, which in Amelia's perspective very beautiful and in return she got him a yellow hufflepuff broach, which was the best out of all the gifts Amelia had bought. The broach could change colors with different outfits.

Right now after mailing the letters and gifts Amelia was on her way to the great hall to have breakfast, she had helped professor Binns to decorate the christmas tree late at last night. The whole great hall was decorated red and white for christmas' theme. Today's breakfast was also special it was royal english breakfast, though Amelia had been craving for something french. She ate in silence with few unknown 7th year students and decided to head to Hagrid's hut after all she got a gift for him too.

Upon reaching there she found the chosen one sitting beside Hagrid having tea, Amelia cleared her throat from behind gaining both of theirs attention.

" 'Ey 'Melia how er you" Hagrid exclaimed cheerfully, Amelia smiled and approached them.

" Mind if i sit" Amelia asked.

" Not at all" Hagrid said shifting a bit on the large stone there were sitting making room for Amelia. Amelia sat on the other side of Hagrid while Harry sat on his other one.

" Merry christmas Hagrid" Amelia said from his side digging out a small box from her pocket.

"Merry Christmas Amelia to you too, ye didnt had to" Hagrid said taking the gift and unwrapping it. Upon opening a there was a small glass vial with some purple liquid in it.

" What is this?" Harry piped in.

" This is Belixir potion, it actually is a healing potion for magical creatures, i brewed it myself, just a drop of it is enough to heal anything in animal" Amelia explained smiling waiting for Hagrid to say something. Hagrid just stared at her with parted mouth.

" what happened Hagrid did you not like it, i am sorry i'll get you another-" Amelia said worried but Hagrid cut her off.

" No Amelia i loved it, thankyou so much , thankyou for thinking so much" Hagrid said and started weeping, Amelia swore he was the cutest man alive. Harey and Amelia shared looks on how adorable Hagrid is.

" You two wait let me get you the new juice, very delicious" Hagrid said still overwhelmed wiping his tears standing up and going inside his hut.

" Amelia" Harry said looking at the front view of mountains covered in snow. Amelia hummed in question turning towards him. Harry dig his hand in his pocket to bring out a snitch.

" Merry christmas Amelia, this was the first snitch i caught in my first year" Harry said smiling handing his snitch to Amelia. Amelia stared at him in disbelief.

" Harold how can i take it, it must be special" Amelia insisted handing him the snitch back, but Harry didnt take it.

"No Amelia take it, its a gift" Harry said smiling slightly. Amelia reluctantly took it, feeling guilty.

" I am sorry Harold I didnt get you anything" Amelia said not meeting his eyes.

"Get me something next time then" Harry said smiling softly. Amelia couldnt understand why is he being so nice to her lately. She just hummed in response. Hagrid brought the juice, which tasted like rotten eggs but for his happiness Harry and Amelia reluctantly drank it. They chatted for an hour or two before about some new magical creatures that will arrive in Hogwarts for some reason. Amelia left first in hope to find Sev in his chamber. Reaching there she saw it was still empty, god knows where is the grumpy man, Amelia thought to herself. Meantime she completed the book pride and prejudice which she sneaked from Hermione's shelf. Muggle works are also good, Amelia hummed to herself a bit impressed.

Then there was shuffling heard outside the office, Amelia squinted her eyes already prepared. The door opened, in came Sev with his usual expression.

" And I was starting to think you settled in Hawaii" Amelia said sarcastically gaining an eye roll in response.

" Cheer up Sev its Christmas you love christmas right?" Amelia said again sarcastically, Sev simply ignored her to look on some paperwork on his desk.

"Oh so i am imagining things there's no one in this room other than me" Amelia said again looking on him from the corner of her eye.

"What do you want?" He muttered not looking up.

" Nice english omlette" Sev looked up to stare at her with a wierd expression Amelia just shrugged.

" Go to kitchen then" he said looking
back to his paperwork.

"No not Hogwarts omlette, you bake an omlette for me" Amelia said stubbornly sitting on the couch.

"Omelettes are not baked, you and your culinary skills " Sev taunted shaking his head. Amelia made a face of 'o' .

" Come let me teach you how omlettes are made and not baked" he said standing up Amelia followed him with a pout.

"Bring out the eggs" Sev said. Amelia stared at him she didnt even knew where the eggs are.

"Helpless" Sev said shaking his head and pointed to where the eggs were.
Amelia grinning took out a whole tray of eggs in a jerk causing a few to fall down and break. She looked up to meet his eyes timidly.

" I will clean this dont worry" Amelia said keeping the tray and bringing out her wand.

" Not with magic, manually" Sev said folding his arms. Amelia scowled.

" I am a witch not a squib i will use magic" She said defensively.

" No, expelliarmus" Sev said taking her wand, Amelia scowled more. He gestured her to the floor and cloth, pouting she started wiping the floor making a disgusted face.

" I feel like i will puke" she said covering her nose, Sev smirked to himself in amusement.

" How do muggle people do this, its gross" she said making the 'ew face'. And throwing the cloth in dustbin after cleaning, Sev mentally faceplamed.

"Whatever, now take two eggs out and try to crack them slowly on this " Sev said, Amelia followed all his instruction obliviously, failing dismally.

"I asked you to make it, but you are so cruel" Amelia said almost covered in the yolk.

"Next time you wont have an excuse of not knowing anything in kitchen" Sev said with a smirk, Amelia passed him a slight glare.

"I cant live on omlettes if thats what you are trying to say, but this one is going to be the best" Amelia said proudly.

"Now flip it with this" sev said handing her a flipper. Amelia did everything like a five year old, and the result came out to be a half burnt something omlette like.

"I did it , look at this, its amazing, i wish you gave me camera sev, i would have clicked a lot of pictures of it, and send to everyone, Remus would have been so prou-" Amelia exclaimed esctaticly but cut herself on the mention of her godfather. Sensing that she was now drifting to sadness Sev quickly changed the topic.

"Now its done you shall serve for yourself and let me do my work in peace" Sev said going back to his desk. Amelia served for herself sitting on the couch, the first bite she took was not so great, the taste was bitter because it was burned. Amelia tried to have another bite but couldnt it was just disgusting.

" What happened didnt like the omlette you made" Sev taunted. Amelia turned away to not meet his eyes.

" Its good am enjoying it" She said pretending to eat. Sev could have chuckle on this but he is 'Sev'. He flicked his wand bringing out a nicely made omlette and leviating it to Amelia. She looked up at it with surprise .

"What's this" she asked acting unbothered.

"A hippogriff " he said rolling his eyes.

"No thanks i am having this omlette made by me, its nice" sha said folding her arms.

"Your nice omlette smells burns till her, eat this one quietely." Sev said putting the omlette down.

" Okay if you insist so much, i will eat this one, i dont want to upset you on christmas" Amelia said acting casual, Sev smirked to himself shaking his head.

" Btw did you get me anything, its christmas" Amelia asked not looking up from the plate while eating.

"No, i dont see any point giving you gifts every year, you already have everything" he said not looking up, Amelia rolled her eyes.

"You could have said that in a lesser rude way" She said scrunching her nose.

" Still no point"

" Why did i even try" Amelia said sighing chewing her omlette. He may be an ass- no lets not say that about him, he is your uncle Amelia but he makes the best omlette in the world, Amelia thought to herself.

" Oh and i want to make a correction in my list" Amelia said looking at him.

"What list" He asked looking up raising an eyebrow. Amelia rolled her eyes.

" Seriously man you call yourself my uncle"

" Dont give me that cheek, tell me or let me do my work" He said irritated.

" My birthday list, i want you to add one more thing in that" Amelia said finishing the omlette quickly to have her deal talk.

"What now in that" he asked uninterested.

" I want a motorbike" Amelia blurted out, Sev looked at her like she has asked for his kidneys.

"I am not in for your jokes let me work." He said going back to his work. He thinks i am joking, Amelia thought to herself offended.

"I am not joking Sev I really want a motor bike, you can cancle all the things from the list just get me a motorbike please" Amelia pleaded.

" I knew letting you live with that werewolf will cause you major damage to your brain just like it did to your mother" He hissed at her, Amelia scowled this time very offended.

" Sev you maybe my uncle and all, but you cant just insult my family" Amelia said crossing her arms over her chest, Sev just scoffed.

" Where's your 'Family' why I can't see it?" Sev taunted, Amelia was finding it hard to not explode at him.

"Why you really have to bring them in this all the time" Amelia raised her voice.

" Dont raise your voice at me" He roared standing up on his feet.

" You dont talk to me like that" Amelia shouted back causing a few glass windows to shatter into pieces. The magic in her was exploding.

"You are my ward and and will not tell me how to treat you" He yelled at her banging his fists on the tabel.

"You make me sick!" She exclaimed running to her room upstairs and banged the door loudly closing it.
Both stayed in the quarters in rooms opposite to each other whole night not uttering a single word.
