Amelia was having her dinner peacefully at the slytherin table. Draco and Pansy were sitting right across from her and it could be seen the two getting friendlier, Pansy held a flustered face while Draco was chit chatting or who knows flirting with her with his usual smirk. Amelia hadn't gotten a chance to know about her friends lives in the past few days. On other sides of Amelia sat carbbe and goyle busy talking god knows what. Blaise sat next to Draco with his newly made girlfriends Vanessa Mulciber. Both of them snogging their faces off once in a while. Seemed like it was only Amelia who was not in a relationship.

She could see the golden trio talking about something sirius in hushed tones and fred and george as usual upto some mischeif.

The great Hall was quite until a sound of throat clearing came from the teacher's side. It was dumbledore, he stood up and came forwards, seemed like he had a news.

" Good evening students" he started in his cheerful tone. "As you all know the past few days have been very chaotic for few of us" he continued as his eyes twinkled on a few students including Amelia. " So to ease the tension we have organised a trip for some fun." Several students hooted and clapped loudly "A trip to nearby village, where you all get to stay for 3 days. We know three days are not enough but these days will be the best days of your lives, you will seek adventure, fun, friendship, love everything. No more books and studies for three days, and what could be a better gift to students other than this, when i myself was i students i always wished to have such days at my time, nobody likes studying, and the weather is wonderful, snow makes it even more pleasant to have a trip, you cant make enough snow balls-" dumbledore was cut off by Mcgonnacal clearing her thoat sharply to bring him back to the topic. " So yes what i was saying, that you students get a chance to have adventure for these three days, the trip starts from monday, the rest of the details will be provided by your house heads. Now off to bed pip pip" he finished.

A trip. Really. Okay so we get to have some fun. Amelia was excited. Infact everyone was. The next morning the details will be discussed, she couldnt wait for it. After bidding goodbye to her slytherin friends Amelia quickly ran to her dorms and fell asleep, excited for upcoming adventure.

Great. Just great. Amelia was reading the notice stuck on the wall of gryffindor common room. It had the details about the upcoming trip. It was clearly mentioned the students who will get the signatures of their guardians would only be able to go. Now she felt like she hated the universe. Who would sign the permission for her. She's been arguing with severus, Remus is not here, and her father.. nevermind.

She looked around in the common room, everyone happy, planning about the trip, what they'll be wearing, what they'll be paking etc etc. Every student held an enthusiastic face, untill she saw the one which was held the same expression as hers. The chosen one. He looked sad. Ofcourse he would be. He had no parents. Even though Amelia had now three guardians she still felt what Harry was feeling.

Harry felt eyes on him he looked upto see Amelia Black staring at him from the end of the common room. He noticed she had pity in her eyes? He was confused, the girl who doesn't like a bit of him, was showing pitiful eyes to him. Amelia realised what she'd been doing, she was staring at the chosen one with wierd expression with him staring back at her, they both held the eyes contact for a moment until Amelia replaced her expression with a sly smirk and left.

' I might be hallucinating, she's just the same bitch.' Harry thought to himself after Amelia gave him the smirk and left. Seeing Harry's disappointed look hermione and ron came up with a solution to make him go to the trip with them.

Meanwhile Amelia was walking silently in the hushed corridors. She was thinking what she must do to go on the trip. Shall she apologise to severus? No. Then maybe write to her godfather? No. Maybe then her fathe-? Definately No. She was battling with the thoughts in her mind and let out an exasperated sigh.

" Maybe i will stay alone here" she said sadly to herself hanging down her head.

" And why shall you be alone" came the so familiar voice from behind her. She turned around to be greeted by her favourite hufflepuff.

" Because maybe i am meant to be" she said with warm smile but her words reflected her pain. Cedric frowned and approached her. He put both his arms on her shoulders and looked in her eyes saying.

" You are not going to be alone until i am alive"

Amelia felt her knees go weak. His words, what he said, his close proximity, his hands on her shoulders. Everything felt so surreal.
Amelia looked deep in his eyes, not thinking anything just watching the beautiful colors filled in them.

" And how can you be so sure of that" she said in a whisper. Cedric removed his arms from her shoulders and leaned against the wall with a cheeky grin.

" I just know" he said with a smile. Amelia shook her head smiling trying to hide her blush. 'you are going soft Amelia' she thought to herself.

" Anyways now will you answer what happened" cedric asked moving along with her

" I cant go there's no one to sign for permission" she said.

" Why? isnt professor snape your uncle" cedric asked with an raised eyebrow.

" He wont allow, we are not on talking terms since few weeks" Amelia said.

"Oh so now what are you going to do" he asked.

" Maybe i will have to spend these three days with peeves and hagrid" she said trying to laugh to make it sound easy.

" You can try resolve things with him" cedric said earnestly ignoring her attempt to ease the situation. He wanted her to come, he wanted to enjoy with her.

" Its not that easy, and firstly its his fault, i am not going to apologise" Amelia said stubbornly increasing her pace.

" Try some other way maybe" cedric said rubbing the back of his neck.

" I dont know, wait why do you want me to come so badly, would you feel bad if i dont come" Amelia asked halting on her steps, looking curiously in his eyes and folding her arms in front of the brown haired boy. Cedric felt his face heat up, he didnt know what to say to this situation. He was thinking of the perfect lie.

" Um- No particular reason, i dont care if you come or not" he said acting casual. But his eyes widened upon hearing what just came out of his mouth, he saw Amelia held a more pained look now.

" Yeah right, bye cedric, i'll see you later, best of luck for the trip." Amelia said holding fake smile. She quickly turned around not wanting to reveal her real expression what she felt upon hearing those words. Cedric stood there dumbfounded. He regretted it very badly what he just said. He wanted to follow her, but she quickly escaped and disappeared in the crowd.

Amelia felt the day was the worst day of her life. She found herself rushing towards dungeons to her uncles office. She halted front of the door of her uncles office. She was not sure what she had come here for. She cursed herself for coming here running and standing outside the office of her uncle like an idiot.

" Yes Amelia you are an idiot, what are you doing here" she thought to herself loudly. Suddenly the door opened and snape stood there with a smirk on his face.

"Knew you would come, but this soon, surprising, isnt it" Snape mocked, Amelia made a scowl.

" Now would you like to come inside or have you decided upon the job of my gates keeper. I wouldnt mind either" he mocked again, with that smirk growing wider. Amelia wanted to hit her head hard on stone, but she pushed him aside and stepped inside quickly planting herself on the comfy sofa.

" Rude amd mannerless as always" snape taunted again shutting the door stepping insisted and seating himself on his armchair. He waited for a few moments for her to begin, but that never came.

" Do you want me to draw you" Snape asked again, this was the jolliest mood he ever had been in years, taunting her intently.

" Ughhghh" Amelia made the sound holding her hair over her head.

" Poor girl has headache" snape tutted and got up to het Amelia and himself some tea. He placed her tea on the side table, while enjoying his.

" Okay now listen to me" Amelia started realising there was no escaping now.

" I want to go to the trip" she said waiting for his reaction, he just sat there amused.

" And?" He asked slurping his tea

" And..." Amelia tried to frame the words to make it sound good and acceptable by him.

" Iwantyoutosignmypermission" she said in one breath closing her eyes. Waiting for him to taunt her again

" I beg your pardon" he said slurping his tea.

" Ughh why do you have to be so difficult" Amelia groaned. Snape smirked watching his niece struggle.

" I want you to sign my permission sev, so that i can also go to the trip" Amelia said each word clearly and softly with a little fake smile.

" I am honoured the fact that you came to me instead of going to your godfather or newly found father" snape said acting amused. amelia mentally rolled her eyes.

" I dont know where they are " she said with her head down, severus could see she was really sad. He didnt like her sad. He liked her being bossy, sassy, cheerful, and laughing loudly which her termed as 'troll laugh'.

" tut tut very Sad " snape said receiving a glare from his niece.

" Will you now sign it" she asked with hopeful glint in her eyes.

" No" he said shortly finishing his tea, standing up and turning around to place it on the back table. Amelia made hands to choke his throat behind his back.

" Why please let me go, i really want to go sev, you know i haven't been anywhere since years" she asked standing up.

" you came back from france just 6 months ago" he said in monotone.

" i was attending school there, sev please" she said earnestly

" One condition" snape said meeting his eyes with her. She knew what he was going to ask, in no world she was going to return her mother's picture to him.

" No" she said steadily.

" Then you can leave" snape went over to his door opening it for and signalling her to leave. Amelia started at him jn disbelief. 'is he really my uncle' she thought to herself.

" Comeon i have work to do" snape said tapping his feet on the ground, seeing how helpless he made the girl. She decided she wont let him win, afterall she was thiught to never give in, she wasnt letting her it down what her dear uncle taught her. she stepped out his office with the upright posture, chin high. And turned around to face him.

" I thought it would be fun to come back to you, but i was wrong" she said venom dripping of her tone. With that Snape shut the door on her face.

" Git" she muttered to herself standing there.

She went back to the common room and sat in front of fire, a few moments later the golden trio stepped in with a happy Harry. Amelia looked at him curiousity Just few hours ago he was really sad and now he is beaming, she saw he was holding the permission slip. Did he get the permission? Amelia thought to herself in disbelief. He doesn't even have any guardian. How did he. How could he. Did he grow new parents.

Now Amelia was infuriated even the boy who had no one was going to the trip and she could not have three three guardians. She stood up and furiously went to her dorm. She layed on her bed few moments watching her dorm mates along with hermione doing packing and stuff giggling and laughing chatting loudly. Everything irked Amelia.

" SHUT UP" Amelia roared making the girls flinch on their spots look at her in horror. Amelia slipped inside her covers and drifted to sleep furiously cursing everything, everyone.
