โ๐๐€๐ƒ๐Œร‰,โž I whined, annoyed at my older sister's persistence, "I'm perfectly fine. I don't need someone holding my hand all the time."

"I know you don't," she replied, still set on tying the ribbon I had tangled all up when I attempted to tie it myself. "I just want to make sure you understand the importance of this meeting, Clarissรฉ. A lot of crucial people to the galaxy will be here, looking for your view on the matter of the Trade Federation."

"I'm very aware of how important this meeting is, Padmรฉ. I won't let you, our family, or the people of Naboo down when it comes to today's meeting. I promise you that," I promised, looking at my sister with courage gleaming in my vibrant green eyes.

She sighed and started to stand back up, looking over at me for creases on my elegant gown equipped for today's crucial meeting.

My gown was long and a deep burgundy red, the little details of the dress being accented in gold and white. A golden sash sat on my waist, holding the dress tight. My dear sister was currently trying to tie the ruffled mess of golden ribbon together. I had already attempted it once before and failed miserably.

After tying the sash, Padmรฉ stood up from her kneeling position next to me, and smiled softly. She was nervous, I could tell. But she didn't need to be. I would be fine. Nothing would go wrong.

The two aliens stood in front of the glowing on the view screen, a glorious figure appearing on the screen.

"It's Queen Amidala herself," Rune stated as he looked upon the young queen of Naboo.

Queen Amidala sat proud on her throne, her tiny figure staying still and tall, despite her petite height. The little girl before the two full grown aliens didn't look intimidated in the slightest, even though she looked to only be about nine. Her sharp, piercing green eyes seemed to bore their way into the aliens minds, and they couldn't look away, no matter how hard they tried.

She had demanded an audience with those eyes.

"At last we're getting results," Nute mumbled as he looked at the strong young female before him.

"Again you come before me, your Highness," Nute continued his previous statement, bowing deeply to the young queen. "The Federation is pleased."

"You will not be pleased when you hear what I have to say, Viceroy," the queen spoke with an increasingly unwavering voice, despite her girlish tone. "Your trade boycott of our planet has ended."

Nute turned to his counterpart and smirked at the grey alien next to him, heavily pleased at the news.

"I was not aware of such a failure, your Majesty."

The young queen glared at the figures before her. She didn't trust them and their sneaky politics. She never liked the Trade Federation to begin with. Something about the way they always had something up their sleeve, or how they always played both sides of the galaxy for their own greed.

"I have word that the Senate is finally voting on this blockade of yours," Queen Amidala stated as she looked back and forth between the two smirking, slippery aliens.

"I take it you know of the outcome. I wonder why they bother to vote," Nute proclaimed as he stood with pride, his fingers clasped behind his back. Everything was going according to plan.

"Enough of this pretense, Viceroy!" The queen cut Nute off sternly, anger seeping through the cracks of her words. She was getting antsy now. They were just stalling at this point.

"I'm aware the Chancellor's Ambassadors are with you now, and that you have been commanded to reach a settlement."

"I know nothing of any ambassadors," Nute claimed, his lies being analyzed by the young girl in front of him, her glowing green eyes scanning his face and hand gestures. She had learned how to read people from numerous days on Naboo when she was training for her monarchy.

"You must be mistaken, your Excellence."

The young queen was slightly shocked at this revelation, surprised at the older alien's answer. Her blood red lips gaped a little before she quickly closed them, not wanting the greedy aliens to see her slight shock at their answer.

"Beware, Viceroy," she glared at them once more, her pigmented eyes looking like a poisonous plant, "the Federation has gone too far this time."

Nute slightly grinned at the girl's response, his deviant, bleak eyes staring deep into her own vibrant eyes with malicious intent.

"We would never do anything without the approval of the Senate. You assume too much, your Grace."

The Queen spared one more hatred filled glance towards the pair of aliens, her green eyes seemed to be glowing from the pure emotion shining in them.

"We will see."

And with that, the beautiful, young Queen of Naboo signed off, the viewing screen before the two viceroys shimmering into a cold black, the queen's youthful face disappearing from view.

The two aliens let out a breath of relief, excitement flowing through their veins. They still had to ensure that the attack could ensue, but for now, everything was perfect.

Rune stepped up to his fellow alien and stated, "She's right, the Senate will never-"

"It's too late now," Nute cut off Rune, walking towards the steps to the control area of the long and spacious room.

"Do you think she suspects an attack?" Rune questioned, looking rather nervous for his counterpart's answer. Although he wouldn't admit it, the older alien was frightened and intimidated by the young Queen of Naboo. He thought that the queen, even though she was petite and young for her role, was increasingly talented in politics and keeping her people safe, something he wished the young queen did not have on the opposing side. Rune was scared of the young girl, as she seemed fully capable of many incredible things.

"I don't know," Nute started, looking back to find his fellow viceroy in deep thought, "but we must move quickly to disrupt all communications down there."

The two aliens nodded at each other and headed off.

I have assurances from the Chancellor."

Palpatine stopped to speak to someone from off the hologram, shaking his head in disbelief until he turned to face my cabinet and I.

"His Ambassadors did arrive. It must be... the... negotiations.."

Palpatine began to cut in and out of the hologram, his figure flickering in and out of existence.

"Senator Palpatine?" I question, wanting to make sure he's okay, despite the fact I wasn't too fond of the man. He gave me quite an off feeling when it came to his lack of true caring for the galaxy, unlike Bail Antilles and Flynn Remingway, politicians I knew from school who actually cared about the well being of the universe.

I turned to Captain Panaka, one of my most loyal protectors.

"What's happening?" I asked, scanning over Panaka's panicked figure.

"Check the transmission generators," Panaka demanded to the governor of Naboo, Sio Bibble.

Bibble sped through to the transmission generators, coming back much more urgent than before.

"A communications disruption could only mean one thing," Bibble spoke with an ominous undertone, making me lose my stoic facial expression into one of fear. I couldn't lose communication with the other Senators. If the Trade Federation was going to attack us as I was suspecting, I wouldn't be able to call for reinforcements with our transmission generators down. It would be a disaster. I couldn't let anyone hurt my people.

"Invasion," Bibble finished as he stared ahead with unease.

"The Federation would not dare go that far," I stated, pushing my fear back into the deepest corners of my mind. Another thing I had learned from being the queen of a planet; don't let anyone see how scared you are.

"The Senate would revoke their trade franchise, and they'd be finished," Panaka agreed with me, as I knew he would. He was a good man and almost like a father to me due to how caring and considerate he was of my young age of nine. Unlike some of the other politicians, Panaka never saw me as anything less than Queen of Naboo. He liked to say I was much too mature for my age, though, which I suppose is a given, considering that I am the queen of a fully grown kingdom at nine, not even a decade of life for me.

"We must continue to rely on negotiation," I decided, not even moving my face an inch. I could care less to see the negative reaction from Bibble due to my decision.

"Negotiation? We've lost all communications! And where are the Chancellor's Ambassadors?" As expected, Bibble immediately got red in the face after my announcement.

"This is a dangerous situation, your Highness. You could be in grave danger," Panaka informed, leaning closer from his spot next to me. "Our security volunteers will be no match against a battle-hardened Federation army."

"I will not condone a course of action that will lead us to war," I monotoned, looking at the captain next to me with sharp and serious eyes, no trace or hint of humor in their vibrant green irises. This was no humorous matter. My people's lives were at stake. A war never did anybody good.

"What do you propose we do, your Highness?"

I thought long and hard about the answer.

The Trade Federation wanted me to sign their treaty. They needed me, Queen of Naboo, to finalize their control over all trade. I was the key part to their despicable plan. If I could go undetected and escape Naboo without anyone aware of it, I would be safe for the time being.

"Allow the invasion to commence," I decided right then and there, a rash decision on my part.

"Excuse me, your Highness, but have you lost your mind?" Bibble questioned with shock. The answer almost shocked me, even though it came from my own mouth.

It was a risky plan, but if it worked, it would save the galaxy from greed for the time being.

"I'm quite sure with my decision, Governor," I replied calmly to Bibble. I didn't blame the man. I would have reacted in the same manner if I was in his position.

"If you don't mind me asking, your Grace, but why exactly should we allow the Trade Federation to invade us?" Panaka questioned, perplexed but still faithful in my ability to save our beautiful planet of Naboo.

"Because it will allow me to escape without being detected," I answered, starting to stand up and make my way towards Indirรก, my most loyal handmaiden.

She looked extremely similar to me, the only differences being our eyes and her lack of freckles. Whereas mine were a bright, shining green, her's were very much like Padmรฉ's; a soulful, dark brown. Her pale skin was bare of any freckles. Soft brown ones the size of pinpricks blossomed among my nose and cheekbones.

A minor setback in my plan.

Other then that we looked like twins. Same milk chocolate brown hair, porcelain skin, and petite height and stature.

Indirรก straightened herself up at my sudden presence, staring ahead into my eyes with remarkable determination.

I knew I could count on her to accomplish this task.

"If you don't mind me asking, your Highness, but how do you intend to that? You are quite recognizable. Being the nine year old Queen of Naboo is sure to turn some heads," Bibble stated, still having a red tint to his pudgy cheeks, his white beard not helping or contrasting well with the unusual coloring on his skin.

"I intend to disguise myself as a handmaiden. Indirรก over here will be my decoy, being the temporary queen as we hopefully let this threat of war melt away."

"What about any diplomatic meetings you have to attend? No offense to the handmaiden, but she can't hold herself up in a meeting without your assistance," Bibble questioned once again, looking at my loyal friend.

I thought about a secret way of communicating with my decoy. It needed to be discrete and not obvious. If it wasn't, the Trade Federation would figure us out, and it wouldn't be pleasant.

"Hand signals," I decided, looking up at Captain Panaka and Governor Bibble. "I'll use hand signs to signal to Indirรก about what I'm saying in a meeting. She'll be like my second mouth."

The two men looked at each other expectantly, until the duo nodded in unison.

My blood red lips tilted up into a small smirk at their unison.

I nodded my head back at them, my eyes sizing them up.

"We agree, your Majesty. For your safety."

"Good," I finalized, heading over to the detailed double doors to go discuss my plan with Padmรฉ. "You are all dismissed."

I opened the ornate doors and made my way out of the throne room, taking deep breaths as I moved towards Padmรฉ's room. Usually, Padmรฉ would have been right at my side during my many meetings, as she was my right hand advisor, but today she had to negotiate leverage with Prairia, a beautiful planet led by one of my best political friends, Flynn Remingway, a sweet and passionate man who really cared for his planet. I admired him for it.

Padmรฉ would understand. She had to. She had to understand that what I was about to do was for my people. Our people.

Everything was fine, nothing went wrong.

Except, everything wasn't fine, and things did go wrong.

I had to go undercover to escape the clutches of the Trade Federation, trying my absolute best not to get caught so my people and planet wouldn't be in danger.

Everything went wrong.

Nothing is fine.

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for the late update. This prologue took a bit too long to write, but I wanted it to be an impressive prologue. It's a tad bit long but that's fine. I'll try to shorten chapters. Anyway, I don't know when the next chapter will be out but I hope you love Clarissรฉ as much as I do. Next chapter will see Clarissรฉ leaving Naboo and onto Tatooine! That's going to be interesting. See ya guys soon!

Fun Fact: Clarissรฉ is great friends with Flynn Remingway, Bail Organa, and Bail Antilles, all three boys from her politics class, although she was particularly best friends with Flynn, who she related to the most and had the most classes with.
