"I'm so excited!" Jennifer exclaimed, as her and Y/n we're trying on prom dresses. It was just a few weeks before graduation and their prom was this weekend.
Of course Y/n and Marty were going together and Paul and Jennifer too. Bobby was going solo, upset that he couldn't find a date, but Y/n said she would save him a dance.
Lee started dating this really preppy girl right after spring break. The group found her a little annoying, but Lee seemed to like her, so they left it alone.
Y/n looked at the dresses and couldn't find one she liked at all. Jennifer had picked out a really nice red dress, "Jen, that looks beautiful. You're lucky you found something," Y/n said, helplessly looking through a rack of dresses
Jennifer smiled, "Don't worry Y/n you'll find a dress. How about this blue one," Jennifer said, taking a blue dress out of the rack she was looking through.
Y/n looked at the dress, it reminded her of what she wore to 'The Enchantment Under the Sea' dance. "It's nice, maybe it will work. Let me try it on," she said, grabbing the dress from Jennifer.
Y/n walked to the dressing room and saw none other than Bethany Thomas. Y/n rolled her eyes at the sight of her and walked past her to the dressing room. Bethany saw her and crossed her arms a mischievous smirk across her face. "What Bethany," Y/n said stopping in front of Bethany, who wouldn't let her pass.
"I see your picking out a dress for the prom this weekend. I'm surprised you even found a dress you like in this store, you know because your supposed to be modest and insistent," Bethany laughed.
Y/n rolled her eyes and stepped closer to Bethany, "That says a lot more about you than it does me." Y/n said, getting out of Bethany's way and towards the dressing room.
Y/n tried on the blue dress but it didn't feel right. So she took it off and put it back on the rack. "Sorry you didn't like the dress," Jennifer said, as her and Y/n were walking out of 'Lone Pine Mall'. Y/n shrugged, "I've never really been into dresses. There's only been on dress I actually liked," Y/n trailed off. Then she realized that she still probably had that dress.
"Jennifer I know where to find my dress!" Y/n exclaimed putting down the skateboard that Marty had bought her over Christmas. She now fully knew how to ride and was actually pretty good.
As she was skating away Jennifer called after her, "Where?" she asked. "My Uncle Doc's garage!" she exclaimed lightly hitting her forehead, just like Doc did when he realized something.
When Y/n got back to the garage she searched through her stuff. Finding her mothers old traveling case she pulled it out. When she opened it she saw not only the blue dress she wore, but the green sweater and black pants from when Doc said that her and Marty had to save their kids. Under it was the outfit she bought when they went back to 1955. Y/n pulled out the blue dress and decided to wash it.
The day of Prom came around and Y/n was ready to go. She was wearing the same blue dress and shall as she did on the night she and Marty went to the 'Enchantment Under the Sea' dance. Only this time Y/n knew it would be better. She would be able to go with Marty and not his father and she would be able to dance with him, instead of awkwardly dancing with George.
Marty knocked on the garage door wearing a suit and tie. He held flowers in his hand his hair was gelled back but a couple strands had come loose. Y/n opened the door and Marty smiled, recognizing the dress she had on.
"I love your dress Y/n," Marty said. Y/n blushed and smiled at her boyfriend. "Thank you, it was the only one I liked," she responded.
Marty gave Y/n the flowers and she put them in a cup of water. They then left the garage and drove to the school. Marty parked the 4x4 and then there was silence. They looked at each other and both got out of the car at the same time.
"We're not parking," Marty said, putting an arm around Y/n. Y/n nodded, "Understandable," she agreed as they headed into the dance.
They walked into the gym and looked around the room, trying to spot their friends. The theme was 'Galaxy' inspired. There were lights and glow sticks. There was no band, just a DJ playing different records and song suggestions.
Marty and Y/n spotted Bobby and walked over to him. Bobby was drinking a glass of punch, he noticed Marty and Y/n and waved. "Hey guys," he said.
"Hey Bobby, have you seen Paul and Jennifer or Lee and Prep Princess?" Y/n asked, referring to Lee's date. Marty laughed at the nickname Y/n had given her.
Bobby took a drink of his punch and looked at the two, annoyed. "Parking," was all he said. Marty and Y/n nodded uncomfortably, taking the hint.
"Y/n I'm going to get us some drinks," Marty trailed off heading in the opposite direction of the drink table. "Okay, future boy," she replied, confused as to what her was doing.
Marty and Y/n were sitting at a table drinking punch and talking with their friends when the song 'Earth Angle' started to play.
Y/n looked over at Marty, who had his hand held out to her. "I owe you a dance," he said, smile-smirking. Y/n smiled and got up, taking Marty's hand.
Marty and Y/n danced, looking into each others eyes. It was perfect, it was exactly how she wanted that evening to go back in 1955.
