It was finally the weekend, Y/n woke up early and decided not to call Marty to take her to work. She didn't want to wake him. She ended up walking to the diner to start her first day.

When she arrived at the diner, Goldie gave her her name tag. She was wearing a blue and white waitress outfit and her h/c hair was in a messy bun. She wiped down some tables as customers started to come in. She took orders and joked around with Goldie. They were becoming fast friends and enjoyed each other's company.

"I heard you're on the cheerleading team, congrats," Goldie said. Y/n smiled and nodded, "Thank you, were you at the pep-rally last night?" Y/n asked as she and Goldie were getting ready to leave work for the day. Their shift ended at noon, the boss couldn't work the teenagers all day.

Goldie shook his head, "No, I had homework I had to finish for economics. I need to pass all my classes if I want to be mayor like my father," he said. Y/n nodded, "Yeah, that's really cool that you want to do that," she said, smiling. "What do you want to do?" Goldie asked Y/n.

In the past two weeks, Y/n had thought about the future so much, but she never thought about her future job. I mean she was in the '80s now, she could be anything she wanted to be.

"I don't know? I haven't really thought about it much," Y/n said, a little embarrassed, considering she was talking to someone who had his career planned out since he was five.

"That's okay. My father says that one day the realization will just come to you. He told me this story that when he was our age he was working at the diner and some strange boy looked at him and said he was going to be mayor!" Goldie exclaimed.

Y/n laughed and then asked, "How long ago was that?" Goldie thought about it, "My father told me when I was a little boy, but maybe thirty years ago from now?" he said. 'Martin Seamus McFly, you bone-head," Y/n thought, laughing to herself.

It was later in the day and Y/n was trying to pick out something to wear to the party. It was her first high school party. Kids in the '50's usually just hung out in the cafe, but the circumstances were different for Y/n because she usually would just hang out with her Uncle Doc.

Marty drove up to Doc's garage and knocked on the door, "Come in! It's open!" he heard Y/n say. Marty walked in to find his girlfriend in distress. Her '80's clothes that she had bought last weekend were everywhere.

"Hey doll? Why's the mall in your house?" Marty joked. Y/n only slightly laughed, "Very funny, future boy. I don't know what to wear, and I can't call Jennifer because I know she's already at Bobby's with Paul." Y/n said, running a hand through her hair.

Marty smile-smirked at came up behind Y/n, wrapping his arms around her waist and setting his head on her shoulder.

"Why can't I help you?" he asked innocently. "I think that dress over there looks good. I remember because I picked it out," Marty joked. Y/n giggled and turned to face Marty, her hands placed delicately on his chest.

"Oh, you would love that wouldn't you, future boy," she mocked, leaning up to kiss him. The kiss was always passionate, as Marty held the girl he loved so close to him, never wanting to let her go. Y/n pulled away, knowing that if one of them didn't it could lead somewhere she just wasn't ready for yet.

"How about, I wear my jeans, and you can pick out my top?" Y/n asked Marty. Marty smiled and said, "Sounds good to me," he plopped on her bed and looked through the tops on the bed.

He picked out a black tank top and held it up, "What about this?" he asked. Y/n took it and examined the top, "I like it, it will look good with your jean jacket," she said, grabbing the clothes she was going to change into.

"I'll be right back, future boy," Y/n said to Marty, kissing him on the forehead and going into the bathroom to change.

When Y/n came out she put her hair into a half up half down hairdo with a scrunchy that Jennifer had given her at lunch. She then put on Marty's jean jacket and looked over at Marty, "How do I look?" she asked, smiling.

Marty eyed her up and down, "It's a shame, you couldn't wear that in 1955," he joked. Y/n blushed and playfully nudged him.

They headed to the 4x4 and got in, "I'm so excited! I'm going to hear you play, I'm going try alcohol for the first time," Y/n said.

Marty glanced over at Y/n while he was driving, "You don't pass out after one drink, right? Because I don't know what's in 'wake-up' juice," Marty said, only half-joking.

Y/n laughed and then realized Marty might have been serious, "Oh, um I don't know. I guess we'll find out?" Y/n said.

Bobby and rest of the gang were still setting up, when Marty and Y/n arrived. The two walked into Bobby's house, "Wow Bobby, your place is huge," Y/n trailed off, looking around the enormous home.

"Yeah, it kind of is, isn't," Bobby replied laughing. Paul walked up to Marty and put a hand on his shoulder, "We need to set up and practice, man," he said.

"Okay," Marty replied, pulling away from Y/n. "Paul, where is Jennifer?" Y/n asked, knowing the boy's would probably want some privacy.

"She's setting up the drinks in the kitchen," Paul said, as the rest of the pinheads were now setting up their instruments. Lee had brought everything in his van. It was a perk for 'The Pinheads'.

Y/n walked into the kitchen to see Jennifer sorting red solo cups and placing bottles of alcohol on the table. "Hey Y/n, I'm so glad you're here. I've been waiting for you and Marty to show up!" Jennifer exclaimed, giving Y/n a hug.

"Thanks, do you need some help?" Y/n asked. Over the past couple days her and Jennifer had become the best of friends. They has most of their classes together and at lunch they would talk, while 'The Pinheads' would talk. "Oh yeah, thanks" Jennifer said.

"I heard that someone is bringing a karaoke machine, we should sing a song," Jennifer said.

Y/n laughed, "I can't sing Jennifer, although I may have the confidence," Y/n said.

"Oh come on, it's just one song. Plus I want to impress Paul, don't you want to impress Marty?" Jennifer asked.

Y/n thought about it, "Okay fine! Let's go see if the boy's are ready. The party should be starting any minute know," Y/n said, Jennifer and her linking arms.
