ΰ³ββ· π§ππ π¦π πππ π’π smoke woke the woman up from her deep slumber.
"what the fuck is that smell?" she lazily muttered before widening her eyes at the realization that it was smoke.
she ran to the kitchen in panic and approached a certain male. and he did not seem happy about what happened. i mean of course, who would be happy if a fucking fire broke out right in front of you?
a yelp was heard from the man as the fire grew even bigger. he looked behind him and spotted the h/c woman on the verge of fainting. and so he took advantage of that to perform a heroic act despite being the one who started it all.
"hey...uh, i think we should get out before we die." he coughed before taking ahold of her shoulders. the woman stared at him in fear before passing out in his arms.
"oh shit." he cursed under his breath before coughing as the smoke only grew bigger. the suffocating male carried the woman bridal-style before speeding out of the apartment yelling out for help.
the fire alarm was still going off in the apartment but nobody was there anymore, and luckily nobody was injured.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββ
great. the entire building was on fire. and who blamed y/n i wonder? everyone that lived there. the police spoke to her about how she had to pay for the cost of the entire building setting on fire.
and oh boy oh boy, the tears that she shed, knowing that she couldn't afford the cost of an entire goddamn apartment. not only did she lose her home, but all of her stuff too.
and oh yes, she was of course late for work too.
"hey it's fine, your apartment looked ugly anyway." spoke the strawberry-head before taking y/n's hands in his.
the woman frowned before staring daggers at him and slapping his hand away. "fuck off. i really thought you changed yesterday and gave you a chance to spend time with me despite being a fucking criminal." she started. "and this is how you pay me back?" screamed the woman before pushing him away.
"oh yeah that's kind of true," he muttered glancing away in embarrassment. they stayed silent for some time, still hearing the struggles of the firemen trying to save the already fucked up building that was getting consumed by fire.
"i fucking hate you, haruchiyo." she muttered as her palms cupped her face.
ouch, that hurt. it really did sting the man in the heart. sanzu tried to make her happy by surprising her with breakfast for the two of them, even watching a tutorial on youtube for it.
nah, fuck youtube, it burned the entire apartment down. that's an extra dislike for that youtube tutorial on how to boil eggs.
the man side-eyed the woman as he took in her beautiful features. she was staring into the burning building, rethinking as to why she even gave the man a chance in the first place. her tears already dried out on her cheeks, and her hair all messy due to the sudden fire breaking out.
y/n was still beautiful. an angel sent from heaven from above. maybe that's why she didn't want to be with him, maybe because he was a devil sent from hell.
yet, she still gave him a chance. and he fucked it up.
sanzu sighed. "y/n." he spoke.
she didn't budge to move a muscle, let alone look at him. but the angel still spoke. she spoke with wording from hell. eh, whatever, she might be a devil but y/n sure had the looks of a goddamn angel sent from god himself.
"the fuck you want?"
"i'll give you enough money to pay off the bill or whatever it's called." he continued. the man awkwardly scratched his nape waiting for a reply from the woman.
"don't get me associated with illegal money," she commented. the h/c woman would rather live on the streets than get illegal money to pay a big fucking sum off for a rebuild of the apartment that burned down.
"you sure?"
"yeah." replied the lady. the man shrugged before looking away into the morning sky. "i really hate you." she said.
"yeah. i know."
"do you know why i hate you?"
"nah."
"it's because you're a fucking dumbass."
"oh, yeah?" he smiled.
the woman nodded in response, both of them talking without admiring each other's facial features.
"i can give you shelter." he started. "it's a pretty nice place compared to the dumpster you lived in." he laughed.
"oh wow how funny, calling my fucking home a dumpster and expecting me to get back with you." she frowned at the man's words.
"no but really." he started sweating.
y/n's e/c orbs glanced at the male, sending shivers down his spine. "why are you sweating? i thought you were feeling bad about not only my home, but other people's homes burning down."
"sorry it's just getting a little bit warm here, i mean a building just burned down in front of us." he nervously chuckled.
the woman nodded with a smile on her face. "you burned it down on purpose, didn't you?"
"no? why would i do that?" he replied.
"haruchiyo, if you didn't burn it down, then you probably thought of the cooking part like this, 'she'll be happy if i make breakfast for her if i succeed, but if this apartment burns down, she'll still be happy because i'm going to offer her shelter and save her from the burning building.' right?"
oh fuck, she read him like an open book. damn these women nowadays, always being either an intelligent woman or a whore with no brains.
"i mean it does seem like a nice idea now that you mentioned it, y/n."
"oh my fucking god haruchiyo. you're a grown adult!" she shouted, making the officers look at her. "how can you be so dumb!?" screamed the lady as her face turned red. she was about to launch herself on the man before the cops stopped her from doing so.
"let me at that fucker!" she screamed.
βββββββββββββββββββββββββ
"so yeah this is going to be your new bedroom, honey." he smiled. the man was very excited to have a person he loved becoming a part of his household. "oh how i'm delighted to have you here, y/n." continued the lad.
"shut the fuck up and leave."
"yeah sure, if you need anything tonight you know what to do, call me." he winked before leaving.
the woman stared at the empty bed before she plopped herself onto it and gave in, sobbing the loudest she ever could. "all of my stuff!" she cried out trying to wipe all the tears away, yet only more tears formed in the corners of her eyes, and only more streamed down her face.
she looked like a total mess. the woman looked homeless. oh wait, she quite literally became homeless.
well, all lives include a hard period of time, am i right? whether it be when you were a child, a teenager, an adult or an elder. it's impossible for you to have a life where you haven't felt like complete shit for a period of time.
all of us have losses. and sometimes, those losses can be serious.
haruchiyo stood behind the door, hearing the woman's sobs as loud and clear as day. "i kind of messed up, huh." he quietly chuckled before walking away.
he would try to get you to love him. but not any love, he wanted your love from a decade ago and more, and so he would do anything for it.
because in the end,
you were truly like a drug that he was addicted to.
