ten // sever the nerve

"IT'S MY NETWORK of widows that help me control the scale of power" Dreykov told Natasha. Natasha walked over to the image that was a map. She stared at the faces of many girls and her heart broke. She was in disbelief. 

"One command, the oil and stock markets crumble. One command, and a quarter of the planet will starve. My widows can start and end wars. They can make and break kings" Dreykov said showing Natasha some war footage. 

"You control all of that from here?" Natasha asked upset with all of his power. "And with you, an Avenger under my control, I can finally come out of the shadows using the only natural resource that the world has too much of girls" Dreykov said sitting down in his rolly chair. 

The screen started to display more girls' faces, making Natasha look away and ask him, "All from that little console?"

Dreykov nodded his head, "Yeah." Natasha smiled making him ask, "Oh, you find this amusing? Why are you smiling?" 

Natasha walked up to him and said, "Don't take it personal, but, uh... thank you for your cooperation."

Natasha remembers the conversation her and Melina had earlier, when they were coming up with the plan. Melina had told Natasha about Dreykov. Melina then traced Natasha's forehead and had said, 'you have to sever the nerve.'

"You weren't quite strong enough, so... " Natasha said looking around Dreykov's desk, "I'll have to finish it myself."

"What are you going to do?" Dreykov asked the red headed Avenger. Natasha slammed her head into Dreykov's desk, leaving a small pile of blood, "Sever the nerve."

Dreykov tried to grab his tablet, but Natasha sent a fist into his face, making him fall onto the floor holding his eye. 

Melina came out of the vent and was met with a guard, who she easily took down. She grabbed his dropped weapon and went into the middle of the engine room. She got surrounded by guards pointing their guns at her. Melina looked down to see the propellers, when a guard told her to get to the ground. 

"Precisely what I was thinking" Melina stated, putting her hand up and shooting the gun in the air. This caused for the support beam, that was on the ceiling, to start falling down hitting the propellers. 

Melina grabbed her grappler and advanced to the level above her. Now that she was safely walking on the bridge above the one below, she decided to radio Anastasia, "Anastasia, slight change of plan. I completely demolished one of the engines and we are going into a controlled crash."

"Fantastic" Anastasia said as Yelena and her were running through the halls, "Yelena and I are heading to the widows now."

Yelena and Anastasia entered the room where the widow were supposed to be, but were met with an empty room. "No" Yelena said as Anastasia looked around and saw the wall with the weapons. She walked over to the wall and grabbed a grenade and put the gas around it and wrapped it with a black hair tie. 

"What are you doing?" Yelena asked Anastasia, who started to run again. "Saving all of us" Anastasia answered back, quickly followed by Yelena.

In the meantime, Melina rushed into the room where Alexei was still fighting Taskmaster and wrapped her legs around Taskmaster's neck and brought her down. Taskmaster fell into one of the cells making Alexei close the door, preventing Taskmaster to leave. Taskmaster started to punch the glass door, trying to get out. 

"We have to go" Melina told Alexei, helping him up from the ground and running out. 

Natasha, who was standing above Dreykov, smirked and said, "Not so talkative now, are you?" She then kicks him in the face, making him grunt. "You took my childhood. You took both of my sister's childhood. You took all of our choices and tried to break us, but you're never gonna do that to anybody ever again" Natasha said taking her weapon out from her backpack. 

Before she can attack though, the door opens and about fifteen widows come in. One of the widows uses their grappler to bring Natasha away from Dreykov. Dreykov puts his glasses back on and stands up to order his widows, "Nobody leaves this room until she's dead. Make her suffer."

Dreykov leaves the room, leaving the widows and Natasha behind. Natasha stands up and looks at all the widows, "I don't wanna hurt you. You don't wanna hurt me."

Three widows start to attack Natasha, making her swing her weapon in the faces of the three widows. She hits the middle one in the face, sending the widow back. Natasha then starts to attack the widow on her right, to which she hits the girl in the face. The widow on the left hits Natasha in her left knee, making the redhead kneel down. Natasha hits the widow in the stomach, and uses the widow to kick two other widows that were approaching her. 

A widow jumps and uses both of their feet to kick Natasha, sending her backwards. Natasha is now leaning against the desk, while a widow comes to attack her. Natasha grabs the widow's arm and pins her down, while she tasers another widow. Natasha uses the widow she has pinned down to roll down the desk, but Natasha gets kicked in the face by another widow. 

Natasha starts to use her taser gun to knock the girls down, but there are too many of them, making her get ganged up on. Natasha tries to fight them off, but she is thrown towards the desk and is now surrounded by all the widows. One of the widows holds Natasha in a chokehold, while the rest of the widows take turns punching and kicking the Avenger. 

All of a sudden a device is heard beeping, soon followed by red gas exploding over the widows and Natasha. Yelena and Anastasia are standing by the doorway, waiting to see if something would happen. It took a few seconds, but all the widows came to their senses and were finally able to be human again. 

Anastasia ran to the center of the room, to check on her older sister. Anastasia wrapped her arms around her sister and whispered, "Thank god you are not dead." Natasha smiled and wrapped her arms around her little sister and whispered back, "Me too мой маленький воин (my little warrior.)"

Yelena came into the circle and joined the hug of the three sisters. Yelena stood up and brought Natasha out of the circle and noticed that Natasha had a glass shard in her shoulder, "You want me to take that out?" Natasha nodded her head, "Okay I take out on three." Yelena didn't even count one and she ripped it out of Natasha's shoulder. Natasha grunted making Yelena say, "I am sorry."

"Mitä me teemme nyt (what do we do now?)" One of the widows asked in Finnish. Natasha looked at Anastasia, who was now standing up and said, "Get as far away from here as possible. You get to make your own choices now."

An explosion was heard, making everyone aware that the place was coming down. "We gotta get outta here" Anastasia said to her sisters and widows, "We need to find Dreykov, you both are coming yes?" Natasha and Yelena nodded to Anastasia and said, "We are right behind you."

Anastasia nodded her head and started to run out of the room, followed by the widows. Natasha went over to Dreykov's desk and took his control panel out and swiped the ring over it, to which she snatched from the old man. Yelena smirked, "Way to go Tasha." Natasha smirked back, but focused on logging in and shutting down Dreykov's work. 

"Your nose okay?" Yelena asked, watching Natasha wipe her nose. Natasha nodded and brought her arms to cover her nose as she cracked it back into place. "Wicked" Yelena said, impressed with her sister. 

The two sisters watched the data transfer keep loading. The glass started to break in Dreykov's office, "We really need to go Natasha. Ana will not be happy about two dead sisters." Natasha looked at the computer getting impatient with how long it was taking, "Come on."

The computer finally got to 100% making Natasha and Yelena cheer and grab the flash drive as well as two of the tubes left on the ground. The two started to run. Yelena behind Natasha, who took her two pistols out and shot them at the window. Both girls jumped out of the window and were plummeting down to the ground. 

Natasha grabbed onto a metal structure and reached out to grab onto Yelena. Both girls grunted, holding on tightly not wanting to fall. The sisters looked down to see the widows running. One thought that crossed both girls' minds was, 'where the hell was Anastasia?'

The structure around them exploded, making Natasha throw Yelena and herself through a window. 

Melina and Alexei are running on the bridge to a jet. Melina gets into the driver's seat and starts to push buttons, while Alexei sits himself into the back. The engine starts. 

Melina looks around, before looking out the window, "Do you see the girls?" Alexei goes to the side of the jet and pants, "No!" 

The structure under the jet, collapses, making the jet fall down. Alexei, who didn't have a seat belt on, falls over, making him hold onto the side of the jet, while Melina guides the jet through the debris of the explosion. 

"We need to go back" Melina tells Alexei, who is still on the ground. Melina guides the jet to turn around, and head back to where her daughters' still are. When she turns around, she is met with guards shooting their guns, as they are plummeting to the ground. 

One of the guards lands on the front of the jet, making Alexei throw his shield at the window, making the guard fly off. When the guard fly's off though, he hits one of the fins of the jet, making Melina lose control of the jet. 

Yelena and Natasha are still running into the hallways of the collapsing building. Yelena grabs Natasha's hand, when the building moves to the left. Natasha gets up, but falls through the floor. Yelena falls down as well, for her hand was still linked with Natasha. 

Both Yelena and Natasha slowly get up and see that they are in the cell room. Natasha sees Taskmaster in one of the cells. Natasha fully gets up, helping her sister. 

"Antonia" Natasha says walking to the panel to open the door. Antonia punches the glass, making Natasha lean against the glass, "No! I'm gonna open the door. You're gonna come after me and Yelena." Antonia hits the glass again making Yelena get closer to Natasha and say, "Hey, it's okay. It's okay. We both know you are still in there okay?"

Antonia looked at Yelena then to Natasha. "We are not gonna leave you. Okay?" Natasha said pushing the door open for Antonia. Yelena and Natasha start walking backwards, with Antonia walking towards them. 

Before Natasha or Yelena could help Antonia, they are separated by an explosion. Yelena and Natasha start sliding down a ramp, making Natasha take her two swords out and use them from stopping her to fall down. Yelena slips, but grabs Natasha's shoulder, stopping her from going any farther. 

Anastasia, who is running on the bridge, sees Dreykov surrounded by guards, boarding a jet. Yelena and Natasha both fall down on the other side of the bridge. Natasha and Yelena see Anastasia use her grabber to reach the top of Dreykov's jet. Anastasia jumps higher on the wing to get to one of the engines. 

She puts her feet carefully onto the edge and looks down at the engine. She grabs her two sticks and puts them together to make a bigger one. Natasha and Yelena are both running faster, as they watch their baby sister. 

"Ana!" Yelena shouted as Natasha shouted, "Stasia!" Dreykov looked up to see Anastasia on the wing, "She's on the wing! Move! What are you waiting for?" The guards all went towards the opening in the jet and looked up at Anastasia. 

"Don't do it!" Natasha shouted to her sister. Anastasia looked back at Natasha and said, "This was very fun Tasha! I loved it all!" 

"No!" Natasha said shaking her head. "I love you both!" Anastasia said as she stuck her long pole into the engine, causing it to explode and make Anastasia be sent backwards. Dreykov's jet was thrown off the side, and all of its passengers were sent into flames. 

Yelena watched with her mouth open, while Natasha grabbed a parachute and ran to the edge. Yelena grabbed the other parachute and followed after her sister. 

Natasha jumped off the edge, skydiving to get to her little sister as fast as possible. Natasha saw Anastasia's limp body. Anastasia opened her eyes slightly and saw her older sisters body coming at her. 

Natasha wrapped herself around Anastasia as their bodies collided. Natasha put the backpack onto Anastasia's back and pushed the button making the parachute deploy. Natasha looked behind Anastasia's body and saw Taskmaster headed right towards them. 

Natasha and Anastasia shared eye contact, "Tasha what are you doing?" Natasha looked back at her sister and said, "Saving your dumbass, so you don't go dying on me." Natasha then pushed Anastasia's body away from her, letting her float, while Natasha started to skydive, nose first. 

Taskmaster and Natasha shared a few quick hits, before Taskmaster's parachute deployed, making both of them land safely on the ground. Taskmaster and Natasha were now on the ground facing each other. 

"Let's go" Natasha said to Taskmaster. Natasha grabbed Taskmaster's neck trying to reach the button Dreykov used to release the suit. Natasha grabbed Taskmaster's arm and hoisted herself onto the soldiers of her opponent. Natasha then pushed the button, unmasking Antonia. 

The two girls both fell down to the ground, gasping for air. Antonia sees the red vial that had fallen from Natasha, and went to grab it, but Natasha did a backbend jump and punched the vial. The vial exploded into Antonia's face. 

Antonia and Natasha both fell back onto the ground. Natasha crawled over to the girl and said, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

"Is he gone?" Antonia asked Natasha, who nodded and confirmed that Dreykov was gone, and was not going to hurt her anymore.
