She takes it hesitantly, the same look still on her face as she stands up from the table. Once her chair is pushed into the table, I lead her out of the restaurant.
The cold hits my heated body quickly, my lungs inhaling deeply. Y/n seems too distracted with her own guilt to notice the goosebumps that have now risen on her skin.
Without thought, I quickly take my suit jacket off, gently wrapping it around her cold body. Once she's wrapped with warmth, I meet her eyes, a frown meeting my lips as I see her eyebrows still pulled up with the same sadness.
"Draco, I-"
"Don't," I interrupt quickly. "Y/n there is no reason you need to feel guilty for this. I didn't leave because I was mad you weren't happy, I left because I knew you needed that from me, and I was fully willing to do so for you."
A quiet sigh leaves her, her eyes searching mine. "Are you sure?"
"I couldn't be more certain," I say, my fingers finding hers to interlock with them.
The guilt and concern slowly fades from her face, something of a smirk now growing. "I asked if you were sure, not certain."
I huff amusedly at this, my breath creating a small ball of fog in the cold air.
The sun had fully set while we were in the restaurant, the moon and stars now lighting up the clear sky as the cold makes its way back into the air.
"Alright fine, I'm sure." I smile, tugging at her hand as we begin walking down the streets of Hogsmeade.
There's a few moments of silence as we slowly walk, her head lightly leaning against my armโan action I couldn't help but smile over.
"I don't want this to be over," She mumbles, her empty hand rising to hold my forearm, just above our interlocked hands.
I stay silent for a moment, my mind filling with thoughts of what we could do. Surely we still need to eat, and soon, though restaurants don't seem to be the best choice for that.
After a few moments of silence I finally think of something. "I've got an idea," I say, not waiting for a response before pulling her into a nearby bakery.

About half an hour later, we lay on a green hill, our stomachs now filled with pastries, bread, and some cheese to pair with the latter. It wasn't necessarily an ideal dinner, but it was enough for the two of us.
Our eyes are trained up to the stars as our bodies lay on the grass, her head placed atop my shoulder. My ankles cross and my arm holds her against me, my cheek lightly leaning on her head.
Luckily the sky was clear tonight, avoidant of any clouds to cover the silent yet sparkling stars.
"Draco?" Y/n's soft, slightly raspy voice gains my attention.
"Hm?"
"Why didn't you give up on me?" She asks quietly, her fingers fidgeting with one of the buttons on my shirt.
My brows furrow slightly with confusion. "What?"
She exhales. "I mean, I just... I've done things that could've easily made you give up on me, but you never have," she explains, pausing for a moment. "Why?"
I think in silence for a moment, my eyes wandering the stars as I do so. "Trust me it wasn't by choice," I huff humorously, earning a small nudge from her. "I think that's just what love does to people. It connects them in a way that magnetizes two people together." I shrug lightly. "It was impossible to stay away from you, Y/n. I told myself over and over again that I felt anger towards you, but it was with maturity that I realized I've never felt anger with you as a person, only anger towards what you did."
There's a moment of silence once I finish, her fingers no longer fidgeting with the button. She slowly positions herself to look at me, her elbow now propping her weight up. "I hate how good you are with words." She smiles teasingly, a rare sparkle in her eyes.
I quietly chuckle at her words, my eyes glancing from hers to the stars. "I'm good at thinking, not words."
"You are so impressively bad at receiving compliments," She smiles, shaking her head as she watches me.
I scoff, my eyes once again meeting hers. "Says you."
Her lips only pull further at this. "Well that's because I have a boyfriend who's good at thinking, not words," She says teasingly.
A huff of air leaves my nose at this, my head tilted against the ground to look at her. The moon is just to the left of her, lighting up that half of her face. She looks beautiful. She always looks beautiful, but it's as if the moon and her have some special bond that makes her look even more ethereal under the night sky. A deal, even.
"Thank you," she says quietly, almost a whisper.
"For?" I question, suddenly wondering if I had missed something because I was too busy admiring her under the moonlight.
"For not giving up."
I search her eyes for a moment, a small smile growing on my lips. "I never will."
