song - she knows (yall this a bop)

anywaysss enjoyy!;)

It's no surprise when Slytherin announces that theres going to be a "welcome back" party- like always. There was really no reason to celebrate coming back to school, though apparently to Slytherins it seemed there was.

Though this time I took the job of planning out my outfit instead of letting Pansy plan it out. I suppose past experiences are still unconsciously floating around my head.

"I'm guessing there will be more alcohol than this?" I ask Blaise and Theo as we help get the common room ready for the party.

"You guess correct," Theo smirks, setting a pile of plastic cups down next to the large amount of bottles filled with firewhiskey.

"Great," I exhale sarcastically, raising my eyebrows.

There wasn't a specific time the party was supposed to start, as apparently that was too 'formal' for Slytherins. I was honestly still questioning why having a time for something to start was seen as formal at all.

Once I make sure all the firewhiskey bottles are on the table I turn around, flattening the small wrinkles in my outfit before my eyes gaze upwards, immediately meeting with cold grey ones.

Draco sat leaned back in an armchair, his black suit still on. It was almost strange how many times I caught his eyes already looking at me when I looked at him, but I didn't mind it.

Just showed he was still admiring me from a far. It was a confidence booster, really.

Our eyes stay looking at one another for a few seconds before a loud yell for my name distracts me. I turn my head over to where the noise of Pansy calling me sounded from before I spot Blaise chuckling as he walks from the area.

I squint my eyes at the suspicious boy before quickly walking to mine and Pansy's dorm.

"Any reason Zabini has a mischievous smirk plastered onto his face?" I ask, opening the door and peeking my head inside. My eyes widen as I see Pansy's dress looking much bigger than it was before I left. "What the hell happened-" I begin, walking into the room and shutting the door quickly.

"To my dress?" She huffs angrily. "Well go ask my petty little boyfriend why he decided to make my dress bigger because 'nobody else is allowed to see my body'!" She stomps over to the mirror, holding tight onto the dress to keep it on her.

I press my lips together, trying my best to hide the small smile that was trying desperately to be shown.

She stares at me for a moment, squinting her eyes before rolling them. "You're both awful," She scoffs at my horrible try to hide my smile.

A small laugh leaves me before I walk up to her. "Hey at least he cares," I take my wand out, trying to think of something to fix the disastrous dress.

"Uh huh- a little too much," She leans on her hip, a hopeless look in her eyes.

I bite my bottom lip in concentration as I pace back and forth. "Do you have anything else to wear?"

"Well no- I left all my pretty dresses at home so they wouldn't get destroyed. My plan was just to go home and get them quickly whenever I needed them but I haven't got time to do that right now." She sighs, her foot tapping lightly on the floor.

"Hmmm..." I hum in thought, my brain flowing through ideas of who she could borrow from. "Oh my Merlin I've just had an idea," I grin proudly, practically sprinting out of the dorm.

I jog throughout the small crowd that had appeared when I wasn't there, almost bumping into Theo once I reach him.

"I need in your dorm." I place my hands on my hips, raising my eyebrows slightly.

He copies my action, though makes it much more dramatic by popping his hip out. "What could you possibly need in my dorm?"

"I'm messing with Blaise." I quirk a brow.

"Alright lets go," He gestures for me to follow him, causing a small laugh to leave me.

We walk quickly to Theo, Blaise, and Draco's dorm (they made a request to change it over the summer) and although I occasionally got interested looks from boys, I felt safe having Theo with me. There's no way in hell he'd ever let a boy talk disrespectfully to me, nor do anything to me without my permission.

He unlocks their door, opening it before stepping in and practically jumping onto his bed.

"Theo I know you're hiding your teddy bear pajamas," I look right into his eyes, a knowing smirk on my lips.

His lips press together, looking around awkwardly. "I uh-" He clears his throat. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

I laugh quietly to myself, shaking my head slowly before walking to Blaise's bed. "Can you find some sort of shirt or sweater of his for me? I don't really want to search his things." I turn back to Theo-who was stuffing the teddy bear pajamas under his bed- scrunching my nose up slightly at the thought of what could be in Blaise's bag.

"Scared you'll see something you don't want to see?" Theo smirks, walking over to where I was.

"Quite," I cross my arms over my chest, taking a step back to let him see inside the bag.

He searches for a moment before grinning proudly back at me. He pulls a large green and grey sweater out of the bag, holding it out in front of him. "This thing is his most prized possession. Do take me seriously when I say I'm begging you to take this from him."

I huff humorously, shaking my head slowly as Theo hands me the sweater. "It'd be my honor, really."

Theo squeals with an excitement, his high pitched tone close to hurting my ears. "You know you really are the best girl I know,"

I quirk an eyebrow at him as we both walk out of the dorm. "So glad to hear that," I fake smile at him, sarcasm prominent in my voice.

"Knew you would be," He pats my head twice, before walking back into the crowd.

I roll my eyes at the action before going back to my own dorm, opening and closing the door quickly as to not let anyone see the disaster inside.

"Is the party over by now?" Pansy grumbles annoyedly, her attitude lacking patience.

"Hey I am not the enemy here," I put one of my hands up in innocence, holding the Slytherin quidditch team sweater up with my other hand.

A small gasp leaves her as her eyes slowly fall up and down the sweater. "You're going to get murdered by that man."

"I suppose we can be murdered together then," I grin proudly, handing her the sweater. She takes it excitedly, admiring the Slytherin emblem on it.

I quickly walk over to my trunk, grabbing a black pair of knee-high socks. "Wear these with it," I pass her the socks, an image of the outfit appearing in my mind.

She looks slightly confused about the socks in her hand, though shrugs it off and walks to the bathroom to change.

I walk out of the dorm and lean against the wall next to it, my arms crossed over my chest and my foot crossed over the other. I unconsciously begin to play with the necklace I had on, before my eyes suddenly grow wide.

It's the necklace Draco gave me.

I suppose It was just normal to have it on all the time and not actually process who I had got it from.

I bite my bottom lip as I stare at the silver star engraved ring, contemplating if I actually wanted to take it off.

Before I can make a decision about the necklace Pansy walks out of the dorm, seeming very excited about her new and improved outfit.

"What do you think?" She asks, standing in front of me so I can see her outfit well.

The green and grey striped sweater fell down to the middle of her thighs, and my black knee-high socks went right above her knees. For shoes she had black boots on that I think went very well with the outfit.

"Oh my Merlin he's going to freak out." I respond, my mouth slightly agape as I look at the outfit.

She grins excitedly, leaning up onto her toes before I push myself up and off of the wall. We start to walk back to the party, that we were finally able to go to now that the outfit disaster was fixed.

Once we finally turn the corner, its almost gasp worthy over how many people were at the party. I suppose it was all of the second years who were now third years, yet it still seemed so crowded. Though it wasn't like Slytherin parties weren't always filled with an extreme amount of students.

My eyes gaze over the crowd, spotting many different things. The drink table I had set up earlier now had older students crowded around it, all laughing drunkly at what I assume to be stupid jokes. There were a few different groups of girls all dancing with each other, which almost made me happy to see. I like how there aren't any creepy boys annoying them.

There were also the many pairs of couples making out in different areas, like always. My eyes land on a few of them, though one specifically catches my eye.

My brows furrow when I see it, and my body immediately becomes tense.

A girl making out with a boy. A girl, making out with Draco.

My teeth feel as though they could shatter by how hard my jaw is clenched. My nose scrunches up as well in some sort of disgust but also jealousy. Why the hell was he kissing someone? Why the hell was he kissing someone that wasn't me?

"Blaise is over there," Pansy says, pointing her finger at her boyfriend. Her boyfriend who happened to be only feet away from Draco.

I turn my head away quickly before I can look at them for any longer. "Right okay- I'm gonna go get a drink."

Pansy nods a little bit, still looking at Blaise. I begin walking away from her before my arm is grabbed and my body is turned back.

"Hold on-" Pansy says, her hand gripped tightly on my wrist as her expression grows very confused. "A drink? You- you're gonna drink?"

An impatient huff leaves me as I pull my arm away from her. "Theres really no reason not to. Being in no control of my body sounds rather delightful right now." I say uninterested, chewing at the inside of my cheek.

She searches my eyes for a moment before slowly taking a few steps away. "Huh... alright then... just y'know- let me know if you need me," She hesitantly says as she continues to walk backwards.

"Right- yeah, I will." I give her an unsure smile, my whole body feeling anxious and restless.

We both turn our different ways, me to the drink table, Pansy to Blaise. I wasn't intentionally trying to be rude to Pansy, though there was nothing in me that felt I could show fake happiness or kindness at the moment.

As I stand at the drink table, my mind seems to go everywhere. I had never drunk alcohol before, though people always described it as some way to escape your worries and bad emotions, which currently sounded like what I needed.

My whole body just felt itchy. I wanted to scream at him, but I wanted to kiss him too. I wanted to slap him, but I also wanted him back. I just want him away from whoever that girl sucking his face was.

My nose starts to scrunch up in disgust at the thought and image in my head before I tilt my head back and take a few gulps of firewhiskey.

It burns like hell but such a nice hell. My throat feels like I've just stuck a ball of fire down it, though it was also numbing in a way.

I stand still for a moment, the cup in my hand, as I take in the feeling and wait for something to happen.

The people around the drink table continue to laugh obnoxiously and drunkly, ultimately making me leave to go towards Pansy and Blaise. They are sitting on a couch, though Malfoy isn't there this time.

"Don't tell me you two are just gonna sit here the whole time," I fake frown at them, hiding the cup of firewhiskey behind my back.

"What've you got there?" Blaise quirks an eyebrow at me, looking between me eyes and the arm that was hiding the cup.

"A very very good drink," I smile lazily, handing the cup to Blaise. "Try it."

He glances at Pansy who seems very bored and uninterested before taking a small and hesitant sip of the whiskey.

"Merlin that burns like hell!" He coughs a few times, sitting up in his seat.

"A yummy hell," I giggle drunkly, my hands clasped together behind my back.

"Oh my Merlin she's drunk!" Pansy gasps, quickly standing up and grabbing the cup. She inspects it for a second before looking at me. "Best friends should always get drunk for the first time together, right?" A smirk grows on her lips before she takes a few gulps like I did.

I clap childishly, leaning up on my toes as Pansy coughs a few times though seems to like it.

"Let's go dance on a table, shall we?" She asks, grinning at me.

I nod quickly before she takes my hand and we help each other up onto a table, Blaise hesitantly following behind us.

We dance for awhile, though my brain really can't process how much time has gone by. I feel like I'm floating as my hips sway and my arms follow whatever movement I felt the song was playing.

A slower song starts to play as the party begins to die down and people begin to go back to their dorms. Pansy and I wrap our arms around each other, acting as if a couple, as we sway side to side, drunk and tired.

It was practically tradition at this point to always leave parties half way through. They weren't very fun anyways. Parties are just an excuse for people to get drunk and dance around stupidly.

Being at the Astronomy tower wasn't much of a better option though. It only reminded me of her. Of all our memories here, whether they were before we were together or after, they were good memories.

The stars even seemed to lack shining when she wasn't here with them. It truly felt like they loved her and she loved them. Maybe I was the stars. Though one who asks to be friends with someone clearly can't have loved them very much at all.

My head turns quickly to the sound of someone giggling, before I see a dark figure get to the top of the stairs. She topples around a bit before meeting my eyes which causes her giggling to continue.

"I just tripped over about three stairs," She begins to slowly walk over to me, seeming as if she could fall over at any point. "maybe four," She blurts out as if its the funniest thing ever.

I only stare confusedly at the girl, recognizing the smell of firewhiskey immediately.

"Well someone doesn't seem very happy to see me," She pouts, placing her hands on her hips.

"Why are you even up here, Y/l/n?" I question, turning my gaze onto the ground.

"Because I knew you'd be up here," She crosses her arms, taking a few very slow steps towards me. "You're very predictable," She smirks and lets out a small laugh.

I take a few steps away, now leaning against a wall. "Is there-" I clear my throat quietly, trying to ignore how close she was getting to me. "Is there someone who needs me?"

She tilts her head to the side slightly, searching my face with a smirk still on her lips. "I could think of someone." She whispers, her fingers crawling up my chest as if a spider.

I look down at her hand, swallowing thickly at the action.

"Kiss me, Draco." She says under her breath, her eyes slowly flicking up to meet mine, her face only inches from my own.

My lungs are practically begging for air at this point, though my ability to breathe has been stolen from me.

"Y-you're drunk-" I choke out, a smug smirk growing on her lips as she hears my slight stuttering.

"And why would that stop you?" She quirks an eyebrow, her hand curling around the jacket of my suit before it slowly begins to slide down my chest, her eyes never leaving mine.

A small sigh leaves me. "You don't know what you're asking for Y/n,"

"No no, I'm quite sure I know what I'm asking for," She bites her bottom lip, as her hand continues its way down my chest.

My breath gets stuck in my throat as her hand finally reaches my belt. She pulls me by it, our lips grazing slightly before she leans in toward my ear.

"Goodnight Malfoy," She whispers before walking out of the tower, leaving me in shock.
