I'm not sure what to make the song for the chapter be because honestly it's kind of a confusing one⁉️ but my go to would always be fahrradsattel when reading my story so feel free to listen to it!

anyways without further adooo, enjoy!!

I hadn't been able to stop thinking about the look I had gotten from Hermione over the weekend. I had tried over and over to think of absolutely anything that I may have done to offend her or make her easily angered attitude mad.

Though something in me wanted to know. Or at least, make it right.

After our last class had ended on Monday I quickly pack my bag and hurry over to the girl, who also seemed to be in a rush. My brows furrow slightly in confusion as she practically runs out of the classroom, causing me to speed up to catch up to her.

"Hey! Can we talk?" I smile politely, trying to not act as out of breath as I really was. Goodness that girl was quick.

She rolls her eyes sassily before aggressively turning to look at me. "Not really," She states as if I'm the most stupid person she's ever spoken to. She turns back and walks away, causing my fake smile to fall, and my eyes to glare at her.

I scoff annoyedly before jogging up to her, not even caring if she didn't want to talk. "Ok, don't want to play the nice game? Thats fine by me, but what I do wanna know is why you treat me like absolute shit for no clear reason." I say, straightening my posture, ready to play whatever game she's acting out.

Hermione's jaw falls slightly in surprise, before she closes it quickly and crosses her arms uncomfortably. I can tell she's biting the inside of her cheek, resisting the urge to tell me the truth.

"Im not meaning to start a fight, okay?" I reassure her, though keep the stern tone in my voice. "Though if you haven't realized, we're playing Belle and Ms. Potts in October so if you can't pull whatever your dealing with together, it'll very much upset Professor Mcgonagall."

I can tell I said the right thing, by the small gasp that leaves her lips. Of course she wouldn't want to upset a teacher.

A frustrated noise leaves her before she finally speaks. "You and Harry! I know you fancy him, and if you two end up together- well you know, you're a Slytherin, of course you'll break his heart."

My thoughts totally move past the last thing she said before I respond. "I'm sorry? You think I fancy Harry!?"

Hermione's eyebrows furrow slightly with confusion. "Well- yeah.." She says, almost as if its a question.

A singular laugh leaves me from her response, not even sure how to respond. "I guarantee you I do not fancy Harry. Plus even if I did, thats extremely wrong of you to consider me within the stereotypical Slytherin, and assume I'd ever break anyones heart." I turn more stern.

She stays silent for a moment, processing everything I had said. "So-... you don't like Harry like that?" She asks once more, seeming more confused than I had ever seen her.

"No-" I laugh more. "I do not."

"Oh.." Hermione stays silent, her eyes still wandering around everywhere as she continues to process the words she was just told.

"Well, now that we've worked that out, can you stop considering me the stereotypical Slytherin student?" I ask, a slight relief filling me.

She nods slowly, though I've realized it'll take her awhile to get used to me, so a small nod is more than I could ask for.

A small smile grows on my lips before my eyes spot Harry and Cedric out in the courtyard. "Great. Well I'll be on my way now." I nod politely before turning and walking outside.

It doesn't take more than 15 steps before Im right by Harry and Cedric, a smile still upon my lips. Though before I can even think of saying my greeting, Harry's words come first.

"Y/n! You remember Ron- well Hermione- actually no Dean.. maybe Parvati.." He pauses, his face turning a light shade of pink as he glances at the boy across from him. "Anyways, remember someone telling me that Hargid was looking for me?"

I think for a second, many thoughts going on inside my head, not even including the question he asked me. My eyes widen slightly as I realized he asked me something, before I answer after a moment of awkward silence. "Oh- yeah, yes, I do."

Harry's eyebrows furrow slightly in confusion at my strange answer, before he nods slightly, and continues with whatever he was saying. "Well- we have dragons for the first task." He states nervously, glancing once again at Cedric.

My mouth drops immediately with shock. "You- wait what!?"

Harry nods quickly, repositioning his glasses on his nose. "Yeah- Hargid showed me them.." He clears his throat awkwardly.

"Oh my gosh.. thats-" I pause, not even sure what word could describe how incredibly dangerous it was for any of the contestants to go up against a dragon.

"Yeah-" Cedric interrupts, nodding his head and rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Well, how do you-" I begin, though pause my words. My eyes had glanced around to find Moody, holding out his wand about 15 feet away from us. "What the-" I state in confusion, my eyes squinting to try and see him more clearly.

I can barely tell that his lips are moving, as he positions his wand to point straight at me. Its only moments later that my hands instinctively grab my wand from my robe pockets, immediately deflecting whatever spell he was trying to hit me with. I fall back to the ground from all the force that had hit me, barely hearing all the gasps that came from students around me.

I sit up once I feel strong enough too, rubbing my wrist that had felt extreme sharp pains rushing throughout it. A few swear words leave my mouth under my breath as I hold my wrist closer to me, hoping this extreme pain would leave soon.

I can still hear students gasping around the courtyard, though what confused me, was that they weren't gasping around me. I slowly stand up, still keeping my hurt wrist close to my stomach.

My eyes widen slightly as I spot a small, white, furry ferret that almost looked.. familiar? I glance around at the circle of around seven students that had stared at the animal with amazement in their eyes. My eyebrows furrow with confusion as I wonder what could be so interesting about a ferret?

The ferret quickly runs over to me, fear rising within me from the sudden action. It nibbles slightly on my robs, before I gently kick it off of me, and quickly walk away from it. "What the hell is happening!?" I ask, staring at the ferret, though I meant for the crowd to answer my question.

Its not until Blaise walks over to the animal, bending down to talk to it, that I understand whats happening. "Wow Draco, even as a ferret you're still in love with Y/n,"

My eyes widen more than I think they ever have, as I stare at the ferret. "Shit-" I mumble under my breath, realizing exactly how he was even a ferret.

When I deflected the spell off of me... it hit Draco instead.

"What is everyone doing!?" A confused but stern voice comes into hearing. I turn around quickly to see Mcgonagall walking towards the crowd.

A few strange noises come from the ferret - also known as Draco - before Mcgonagall's eyes widen. "Is that a student!?" She asks in shock, glancing around the crowd.

Blaise smirks as he leans in closer to me. "Technically its a ferret," He whispers, followed by a quiet laugh. I laugh quietly for a moment as well, before I realize the seriousness of the situation and stop immediately.

Mcgonagall quickly takes her wand out and makes a gentle tap in the air, turning the ferret into Draco within only a second. His hair is messed up, along with his uniform before he almost dizzily looks around the crowd.

The Professor had angrily looked around until she spotted Moody, immediately realizing it was him who had used the spell. It was only a matter of seconds before she made her way over to him and started yelling at him, though I couldn't tell exactly what she was saying.

I glance back over at Draco, though he only looked back at me for a second before he turns around and walks away.

Its only now that I realize the pain in my wrist hadn't stopped. I look down at it clutched with my other hand by my stomach, before my eyes slowly gaze to something laying on the ground.

Draco's wand.

I slowly bend down, using my non hurt hand to grab it. I spin it between my fingers a few times before slipping it into my robe pockets.

little explaining for this chapter: draco never actually said something rude to harry (he's trying to earn y/n's respect so obviously he's gonna try not to bully her friend), though you'll find out soon why moody was trying to hit y/n with the spell‼️😮‍💨
