Hi bubiess!! Here's a more happy chapter because I am and y'all are getting sick of Daphne and Draco๐โ
Anywayssss, enjoy!;)
"I say we go through scene 119," Blaise grins as we walk through some corridors.
Mcgonagall wanted Belle, Lumiere, and Cogsworth to work on our scenes, so that meant Blaise, Theo, and myself were now going to do exactly that.
"That's not even a scene." I roll my eyes at him, looking over to see Theo chuckling slightly.
"Exactly my point," Blaise states, glancing back at me with a goofy smirk on his face.
I bite back a smile, though surprisingly agree with him. Mcgonagall was constantly having the leads read lines, as everyone else was learning the dances. We'd gone through every scene at least 5 times now, and it was getting extremely repetitive.
"Blaise," I raise my eyebrows at him, crossing my arms across my chest.
"Oh c'mon! I have all my lines memorized, and it seems as though I know everyone else's as well. I say we take a break." He whines, walking backwards to look at me.
"I second that statement!" Theo adds, shrugging slightly.
I narrow my eyes at both of them, though they both just grin in return. A dramatic sigh leaves my mouth before I speak.
"What would we even do?" I ask sternly, a small smile threatening to come upon my lips.
There's a small moment of silence as Blaise and Theo glance at each other, though both seem to not know the answer. Blaise's eyes move quickly across the empty corridor, before he suddenly freezes, causing me to bump into him. I fall to the floor from the impact, and glare back up at him.
"Really fell for me there, Y/l/n," Blaise winks down at me.
Theo chuckles along with Blaise before holding out his hand, offering to help me up. I take it hesitantly, though realize that I trust Theo.
"Haha, very funny." I roll my eyes at Blaise, though I secretly bite back a smile.
"Thanks, I try." Blaise grins, jokingly taking a bow.
After a moment of Theo and Blaise laughing (and me trying not the laugh), Blaise suddenly points to a painting, moving his eyebrows up and down, suggestively.
"What?" I question impatiently, glancing at the painting.
It was a large pear painting, though it didn't seem special compared to the paintings around it. The whole corridor was full of food themed paintings, making me slightly hungry.
"I've heard this is the way into the kitchen," Blaise responds, slowly walking towards it.
I furrow my brows in confusion, glancing between the two boys and the painting.
Theo walks up to the painting as well, his fingers lightly tracing it, as his brows are furrowed.
"Not sure how to get in though," Blaise says quietly, disappointment in his voice.
Theo doesn't take his eyes off the painting when Blaise speaks, but instead bends his fingers and seems to tickle the painting.
Blaise and I freeze immediately and furrow our brows in confusion at his strange action. The pear starts giggling as if a person, and a giant green doorknob appears.
My mouth falls open when it appears, Blaise's expression matching mine.
"How the bloody hell did you know about that?" Blaise asks, his jaw still gaped open in shock.
"Oh you know me," Theo smirks, shrugging slightly.
"Yeah... we do," I respond confusedly, waiting for an explanation.
Theo stares at me for a moment, somewhat dumbfounded.
"Ok fine, I read it in a book once." He finally answers, turning around disappointedly to face the painting.
Blaise and I walk closer to him, small laughs coming from us.
"Didn't know you could read," Blaise says, changing his voice to sound like a little boy. And I knew exactly which little boy.
I burst out laughing at his mocking, imagining Draco saying it in second year.
After a moment of laughing, Theo places his hand on the doorknob, though as he starts turning it I interrupt him.
"Wait! Aren't there house elves in there?" I ask, holding my hand out to stop the painting from opening.
Blaise and Theo glance at each other before looking at me again.
"So?" Theo asks quietly, furrowing his brows slightly.
"Well I wouldn't want to disrupt them from their work."
"They'll be fine,"
"Theo-"
"Y/n-" Theo mocks me, a small smirk on his face.
I roll my eyes, shaking my head slowly. I knew this wouldn't stop them, so why try?
"Fine." I sigh, finally moving my hand so Theo can open the painting.
More scents than I've ever smelled came to my nose as the painting slowly opened. There were sweet scents, salty scents, and even citrus scents.
It was absolutely gigantic. There were 5 giant tables in the middle, exactly like the ones in the Great Hall. There were also pots and pans everywhere. Some filled with food, some not.
"This is crazy!" I say excitedly, my eyes still wandering around the breathtaking room.
Before I look back at Theo and Blaise, I hear a few loud gasps. Quiet talking fills the silence, though there's so much I can't tell what any of them are saying.
I look around the room confusedly, searching for the people who were talking. It takes awhile for me to notice 3 pairs of feet, trying to hide behind a table. House elves.
Once they notice I've spotted them, they hesitantly come out of hiding, though one of them refuses to.
The two house elves that stand in front of me are both about 3 and a half feet tall. They are both extremely skinny, with large elf ears. Bright grins are upon their faces, and excited squeals come from the one to the left.
"Quincy is honored to finally meet Miss Y/l/n!" The left one says excitedly, bowing her head down.
I furrow my brows at her action, and gentle lift her chin up.
"No need to bow!" I say quickly, laughing slightly.
"But.. you is master-" She responds, though stops as soon as the elf next to her nudges her arm.
"Shhh!" The elf hushes her, widening his eyes. "Omy apologizes for Quincy's bad behavior." He says politely, bowing his head just as Quincy did.
"Oh please don't do that!" I say, lifting Omy's head up as well. The elf looks surprisingly angry at my action, though.
"But Omy is required to," he replies, a hint of annoyance in his posture and voice.
"Why?" I ask confusedly, glancing back at Blaise and Theo who seem just as confused as I am.
The two elves glance at each other, and Omy widens his eyes at Quincy, seeming as a warning.
"Quincy and Omy may not tell Miss Y/l/n," Omy replies sternly, glancing warningly at Quincy.
Quincy's eyes suddenly fill with water, as she rushes and hugs my leg tightly.
"Quincy is so sorry! I is not allowed to tell!" She sobs, tightening her grip around my leg.
My eyes widen at her actions, and my head immediately turns to look at the two boys behind me. They both shrug confusedly at me before looking back down at the elf wrapped around my leg.
"It's okay Quincy! I'm not upset at all," I try to calm her down, smiling weakly.
"You is not?" She asks, wiping the tears from her cheeks.
"Nope!" I answer quickly, shaking my head.
Quincy finally let's go of my leg, a big grin growing on her thin lips. She claps a few times in excitement before walking back next to Omy, who gives her a disapproving look.
My head turns around to look at Theo and Blaise again, though it freezes on something else.
"Who's the third house elf?" I ask, pointing to the pair of feet that was still hiding behind a table.
"Elf hiding is Ubstin! Ubstin very shy," Quincy giggles, walking over to the elf.
There is a small moment of silence, before Quincy pulls the elf out of hiding, and pushes him towards me.
The elf stares at me for awhile, his eyes wide and his mouth agape. I smile awkwardly at him, hoping he'll say something soon.
"Hi-" I start, though am soon interrupted by a squeal coming from Quincy.
"Quincy is so sorry for forgetting! Ubstin does not hear," She says, a frown growing on her lips.
"Oh! He's deaf?" I ask, suddenly becoming sad.
"No no! Ubstin not dead! Ubstin right here!" Quincy responds quickly, pointing to Ubstin.
I laugh quietly at her statement, though am soon distracted by something. Omy seems to be communicating with Ubstin, though not with his hand... but with his ears. His ears move up and down, and side to side. Ubstin responds once Omy is done, his ears moving in the same way.
I stare at their conversation for awhile, though am soon distracted by a voice.
"Students? Students?" The voice calls out, and I recognize it as Mcgonagall's almost instantly.
My eyes widen, and I turn to look at Theo and Blaise. They both look just as panicked as me.
The three of us run to the painting as quick as possible, though freeze when we realize Mcgonagall would see us if we went out of it.
We give each other panicked looks before hiding behind the painting.
We wait for awhile, till we know Mcgonagall is in a different classroom. Then we quickly jump out of the painting, and close it quietly.
"Well that was close." I say out of breath, a quiet laugh leaving me.

heyyyy;)
I wanted to clarify that when I made the house elves names I imagine Omy pronounced like oh-mee lol and Ubstin like uh-b-stin. I know they're super random but I think they're cute lmao:)) (and Quincy is a kind of common name so I'm guessing y'all know how to say it)
Anyways I hope y'all liked the chapter! I appreciate every vote, comment, and every single read. Love you!! MWAH
