Hi bubs! Goodness gracious this chapter is long but I honestly really like it! I'm probably gonna post about the possible roles in the musical, and other things you guys will need to know after this chapter!
Anyways, enjoyyyy!:))
(FUTURE A/N... again lol. editing this chapter for the same reasons I edited chapter 23. Just trying to make the read not too too painful for y'all haha.)
My body is shaking as I leave the common room, ready to go to auditions.
I didn't think I cared this much but apparently, I did.
I was already very used to all the Beauty and the Beast songs, as it was one of my mothers favorite musicals. She played it constantly, whether it be on the piano, violin, or would sing along to my father's guitar.
Those were some of my favorite memories. My father playing his guitar as my mother would sing to it. He'd sing sometimes as well, and she'd harmonize beautifully. Little 3 year old me would dance around the room, constantly falling though I'd laugh if off soon after.
A weak smile formed upon my face as I imagined this memory, though my thoughts were soon distracted by a voice. A voice I most certainly did not want to hear.
"Y/l/n! Wait up!" The voice called, though the statement only made me want to run.
I scoff silently, rolling my eyes even though he wouldn't be able to see.
"What is it, Malfoy?" I ask annoyed, wishing this whole immature 'last names' thing would go away.
"I have a question for you," he says plainly, as if I hadn't screamed angrily at him a month or so ago.
I furrow my brows, turning my head slowly to face him.
"I think I've made it plainly clear that I don't give two shits if you have a question," I shake my head slowly in slight disbelief.
This boy always confused me but now he was talking to me as if he wasn't a total arse to me? Merlin, help me.
"Why are you hanging out with Potter?" He asks, ignoring my annoyance towards him.
I can feel his eyes on me, as my steps become quicker, hoping he'll give up on my fast pace.
"Do I need to repeat myself?" He says more angrily, his pace becoming as quick as mine.
I scoff quietly, suddenly stopping and facing him.
"No. But what you do need to do is get out of my fucking business." I say sternly, my eyes not daring to break contact with his.
His usual peaceful grey eyes were now filled with anger, and what I'd guess to be jealousy.
"I have a right to know." He says sternly back, his brows knitted together.
My mouth falls open in disbelief at this, my body turning and walking quickly once again.
"And why would that be?" I ask angrily, my voice raising slightly.
"Well I want to know if I'm getting replaced!" He yells back, quickening his pace to catch up to me.
I knew this was about jealousy.
"What if you are!? You made that decision on your own!" I yell angrily, not caring enough to turn so I could see him.
I didn't want to see him. I didn't want to see the anger on his face. He had no right to be angry. No right to be mad or jealous of who I hung out with, yet he still was.
"What do you mean!?"
"Are you-" I start, though stutter in disbelief at his incapability to own up to his mistakes. "Shall I remind you!?" I ask, finally turning my head to look at him.
I don't give him time to respond, though I'm not sure he knew what to say anyways.
"Wearing that dress, you were practically asking for it." I mock him in a high pitched voice, pointing up and down his body just as he did that night.
He opens his mouth, preparing to speak though I interrupt him immediately.
"You should've expected it!" I keep mocking, anger rising within me.
His lips parts once again, though I quickly put my hand in front of him, stopping once again and facing him.
"Oh and my favorite part!" I grin sarcastically. "You said, and I quote 'you fucking slut'."
This time he doesn't try to speak, he just stands still. His once anger filled eyes now filled with no emotion. His once yelling mouth closes shut, as he swallows thickly at my words.
There's a moment of silence between the two of us, our eyes keeping close contact.
"Yeah," I say quietly. "That's what I thought."
I quickly walk off, knowing he won't chase after me anymore.

I can hear Mcgonagall's voice as I get closer and closer to the auditorium.
Before this whole theatre thing, I honestly had no idea Hogwarts had an auditorium, but apparently it did.
I hated the fact that Draco made me late to auditions, especially because we were probably the only two late ones and that could cause speculations.
Once I walk into the giant room, I quickly make my way over to Pansy and Daphne.
They both have confused looks on their faces as they stare at me, clearly confused on why I was late.
"Sorry, got caught up with something." I whisper to them, as I sit down next to Pansy.
"With what?" Pansy whispers back, her brows furrowed in confusion.
I open my mouth to speak, though soon my answer walks through the doors. Pansy's eyes land on him, her face immediately turning from confused to annoyed.
She scoffs silently and rolls her eyes as she stares at him. He quickly walks to Blaise, glancing back at Pansy, who was now flipping him off.
A small smirk grows on my lips, though I keep my eyes on Mcgonagall and avoid looking at him at all.
Mcgonagall talks for awhile, saying a speech about how the auditions will go, and how the casting will be made.
I was distracted most of her speech, as I couldn't stop thinking about my conversation with Draco. Why did it seem like he was trying to apologize but then would say something idiotic instead?
My thoughts are soon distracted though, as my heart drops by something Mcgonagall says.
"Since not many people are auditioning, we've decided that everyone who auditions, will make it into the show." She says clearly, grinning at everyone.
You're kidding me.
I can feel Pansy and Daphne's heads immediately turn to look at each other and then me.
Their eyes are wide, their lips slightly apart from shock. None of us actually thought we'd get in.. but now all of us are going to.
"Shit." I mutter under my breath, moving my gaze to look at Pansy and Daphne.
Blaise looks over at the three of us, a wide smirk on his face as he winks. I swear if he knew about this-
"With all of that being said, let's begin!" Mcgonagall finishes proudly, her gaze moving across the whole group of kids.
She gets out a list that I can't see, and skims over it before reading aloud.
"Luna Lovegood," she reads, before looking at the audience to find her.
An excited girl hops up from her chair, skipping onto the stage. She has a sweet smile on her face, and a confident attitude.
Mcgonagall barely has time to ask who she's auditioning for before she bends her back in a bowing position. She holds her hand out as if giving someone something, and pulls the hood of her robe up.
I furrow my brows slightly, wondering if she knows this isn't charades. Mcgonagall seems to be wondering the same thing.
"Oh- oh, how lovely dear," Mcgonagall says, confusion filling her voice.
Luna stands back up, grinning, before she skips back off the stage and into her seat.
Mcgonagall claps hesitantly, a weak smile forming upon her lips. We all clap as well, though it was clear we were all confused.
There's a moment of silence as Mcgonagall writes something down, before clearing her throat and announcing who's next.
"Neville Longbottom!" She announces, turning her head to look at the crowd.
Neville hesitantly stands up, laughing awkwardly before heading over to the stage.
He trips slightly on the stairs, before smiling awkwardly at the crowd and positioning himself in the center of the stage.
"And who will you be auditioning for?" Mcgonagall asks, as she writes something down.
Neville swallows thickly, his head turning nervously as he looks at the crowd. His eyes meet mine, and I give him an encouraging smile which he returns with a grin.
His head quickly turns back to Mcgonagall, opening his mouth to speak. "M-Maurice, I think." He stutters, clearly unsure if that's even a role.
"Alright, dear. The script is over there." Mcgonagall points in front of the stage.
Neville nods nervously before walking over and grabbing the few pieces of paper.
The next 30 minutes or so are filled with different people walking up on stage, reading lines, singing, and sometimes even dancing if that's the role their going for.
I didn't catch everyone's name as I was distracted with my own nerves but the few I did catch quite interested me. The names consisted of- Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Cedric Diggory, Lavender Brown, the Patil twins, and even a girl named Cho Chang who everyone seemed sure was going to get Belle.
It was now Harry's turn to audition. I was shocked he was even doing the musical, as he seemed very busy with his own things, but it did make me quite happy.
"And who will you be auditioning for?" Mcgonagall asks in the same voice she's asked everyone else.
Harry clears his throat awkwardly before taking a deep breath in and speaking. "The beast, I guess?" He says, though it sounds more like a question than an answer.
I wasn't surprised that was probably the only boy role he even knew of in the musical, as Ron had said the same thing, with the same confused voice.
Harry did his audition, and honestly, it wasn't terrible. He was definitely better than Ron.
"Y/n Y/l/n!" Mcgonagall says loudly, a hint of excitement in her voice.
My eyes widen immediately as I turn nervously to look at Pansy and Daphne.
Daphne had already auditioned and did decently well, though had a few voice cracks. Pansy was bound to go any time now, as most of the crowd had already auditioned.
I take a deep breath in, standing up as confidently as I could. I walk up onto the stage, faking a smile towards the crowd.
"What role will you be auditioning for?" Mcgonagall asks, a wide smile on her lips as she looks at me.
Oh shoot. I didn't even think about that.
I really didn't know what role I wanted to audition for, I didn't want a role at all quite honestly.
My gaze moves across the audience as I think of the roles in the musical, only to land on certain grey eyes.
For a moment, I feel comfort in his eyes. I feel safe, weirdly enough.
But soon that comfort is turned into anger, rage, and revenge. And now the only thing on my mind was him.
Something sparks in my mind, and I immediately know who I'm going to audition for.
Not so much as audition, though, more of ill say I'm auditioning for this role because I know it will anger him.
"Belle." I answer confidently, straightening my posture.
It only seemed fitting to say I was auditioning for Belle, as the boy Draco seemed to be so jealous of, just auditioned for the Beast.
I could see the platinum blonde's brows furrow slightly at my words, only satisfying my need for revenge more.
"Oooh, alright then!" Mcgonagall says excitedly, leaning back in her chair to show she was turning her attention towards me.
I nod slightly, before walking up and getting the script.
My eyes skim over a few of Belle's lines, but ultimately land on a love scene with the beast. More revenge, why not?
I take a deep breath in, relaxing my body and getting into character.
"Of course I came back. I couldn't let them- If only I'd come sooner.." I read off, my voice shaky and panic-like as I pretend to be emotional. I have to bite my bottom lip just to suppress a smile.
"Maybe it's better this way." Mcgonagall says the next line, almost making me laugh at how not like the Beast her voice sounded.
"Shhh... we're together now. You'll see." I respond back instantly, adding more and more emotion into the character as I go. No way they'll buy this.
There's a moment of silence, though I don't break character. It's only when the silence gets extremely awkward that I look up to see Mcgonagall staring at me. She seemed to have so much emotion in her eyes as she watched me, which distracted her from saying the next line. Or would they?
Once I make eye contact with her for a moment, she clears her throat awkwardly, muttering a small "oh" before saying the beast's next line.
"At least I got to see you one...last-" she says unemotionally, looking back up at me.
"Alright we'll skip the song, and go to the next lines." Mcgonagall says, flipping a few pages.
I nod in agreement, turning to the page the song ended on in my own script, finally letting the small smirk find its way on my lips.
"Belle, I-" Mcgonagall says, once again no emotion in her voice which makes it hard not to laugh.
"Yes?" I speak, my voice extremely shaky now as I pretend to try not to sob. Luckily now that Belle was beginning to sob I was able to let small amounts of laughter out in a way that made it seem like I was sobbing.
In the musical this is when the Beast would die, so I leave a moment, pretending that's exactly what happens.
"No...no!" I sob laugh. "Please! Don't leave me! Please-" I pause, letting my gaze rise above the script to the audience.
"I love you," I practically whisper, looking straight at Harry as the words fall out of my mouth.
Once I break character, I let the corner of my lips tug into a smug smirk.
Although,my victory is short lived as I notice everyone in the audience seems absolutely mesmerized by my performance. They all suddenly clap and cheer loudly, especially Pansy and Daphne.
I try not to show the panic on my face as I watch them.
They actually thought it was a good performance.

heyyyy;)
I have two questions for y'all lol:
1. Would you want a Draco POV because I feel like it'd be really interesting for y'all to see how he feels about all this and idkk I think it'd be cool to write:))
2. Would y'all kill me if I took like two days off? I honestly had lots of writers block trying to write this, and although I did force myself to lol, it was honestly kind of draining at some parts. I'm not even sure if I'll actually take a break, but I wanted to warn y'all just in case.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I love you sooo much mwahhhh๐๐๐
