Alastor's POV

I had left that night to look into the whispers that I had been hearing. Demons were looking for y/n. Most of Hell was at this point, but this was something different. Someone had specifically hired a group of Imps to do it. And it was time for me to hunt.

Unfortunately, my little shadows that race around town do not have the comprehension to figure out who hired them, and for what reason. It was probably just to kill her. As I hunted, my thoughts raced through the list of Overlords, but all of them probably wanted her to die.

Returning from my little excursion, I passed a wall of televisions. A familiar figure popped up. I smiled wider as I recognized y/n's form on the screen. She looked incredibly formidable, especially with her scythe in hand. It was beautiful. She rained destruction onto one of Valentino's most important buildings in his industry. I smiled at her planning skills, if she was trying to anger him, she was doing it right.

I walked a little further down the street but decided to shift back home. "No one knew that she was staying with me, so she should be safe for now." My thoughts drifted back to her staying with me. I didn't believe that she would have agreed, but here we are. I entered the front door and heard Nifty's feet rushing down a hall.

"Hello, my dear Nifty! How are you?"

"I'm great Al! If you want something to eat, y/n saved some pancakes for you!" With that, she hurried off, probably to clean something else. I was surprised that y/n had saved me food. In fact, I don't think I ever had tried her cooking.

I didn't usually eat regular food, but decided to try my hand at it. I sat down at the table with the warmed-up food and took a bite. I had never tasted food this good, except for my mother's jambalaya of course. Before I knew it, I had finished the plate. "She continues to surprise me."

I walked back into the foyer to await y/n's return, hoping she had enjoyed it. As if on command, y/n shifted into the room, but she was flying at breakneck speed towards the wall with my trophies on it. I immediately shifted to push her out of the way. I caught her just in time, but we both landed hard on the floor. Her eyes were shut tightly, but her wings had curled around us in a protective manner.

Her violet eyes locked with mine. Neither of us said anything, but I noticed the small cuts along her face. Without thinking, I brushed them with a finger. I didn't like her being hurt. I focused on her whole face and saw a blush creep across it. I hadn't even thought about the position we were in, but it only made my smile grow.

She shifted out from under me and onto the two bottom stairs. . "Thanks for saving me, Al."She laughed but was breathing quite hard. That must have truly scared her.

"It seems like I've saved you a lot lately."

She paused before responding. "You're right." she let out a laugh, "It has been a lot."

"How was the takeover? Did you enjoy it?"

"Oh, immensely." She got up from my seat on the stairs. "This one was much more fun. I got to literally slice a building in half."

"Is that what happened? I was wondering why the ground was shaking." I put my hand up to my chin, feigning surprise. "I was surprised when I came back and you weren't here, my dear."

She stood up on the stairs and looked up at me. "I just needed to release some of my powers. It felt like the right time." We talked for a little while more, but I could see she wanted to wipe the destruction off, so I ended the conversation. Her emotions truly fascinated me. She was a terrifyingly beautiful demon, but she still reacted like she was a human.

I chuckled to myself as I walked to my study. I was still a little confused about why she shifted at breakneck speed, but I chalked it up to a dramatic exit. I've had a few mishaps like that.

I opened the door to my study and was greeted by its welcoming atmosphere. This was by far my favorite room in the house. There was a fireplace on the right side of the wall, with my biggest trophy antlers sitting on the mantel.

The wallpaper was a deep crimson color and it complemented the deep mahogany of the desk on the left wall. There were no windows, but I enjoyed that aspect. I sat down on my favorite armchair and picked up a history book that I had been reading. Its topic on the Dark Angel. I was very interested in her origins, and it seems like she had one of the strongest souls in the history of the earth. Her same soul had been used many times, but they had all failed in fulfilling the prophecy. I was confident she would be the one to fulfill it.

I heard a knock on the door and looked up from my book. Nifty was standing in the crack of the door, "Al, there is a man here to see you."

"Who is it?"

"His name is Stolas. He said he is one of the princes of Hell, but I've never seen him before." I quickly shot up from my chair, annoyed that he was encroaching on my territory. Why on earth would he be here. Before stepping out into the foyer, I composed myself and put a charming but poisonous smile on. I hoped that y/n wouldn't come down, he didn't need to know that we were working together.

I walked out, staff in hand, and found him admiring the wall full of antlers. "Hello, Stolas. What are you doing here?"

He turned around from the wall with a smile in his eyes. His cape and tail flowed as he turned around. His hat had a crown embedded in it. He was certainly one for the dramatics. "Hello, Alastor!" He had a slight British accent, "I see we are skipping right through our introductions and getting right to business."

"Well, you aren't one to travel all the way to my circle of Hell to talk pleasantries. So let me ask you again, why are you here?" He was a little taken aback by my curtness, but I don't like unannounced guests.

"Then let me get everything out of the way first, I do have bodyguards outside the house, but I left them out there so we could talk." I nodded my head in appreciation and motioned for him to continue. I'm glad that he knew that bodyguards wouldn't be able to protect.

"You've heard of the Dark Angel, yes?"

I was surprised by his question and I hoped it didn't show on my face. "Yes, I've seen that she has started to take territory, from Valentino, no less."

He had an uncomfortable smile on his face. "Well, I've heard that you have been looking into my recent inquiries about her."

I paused and thought about my response. "I was curious about who would already be trying to kill her. At first, I thought it was Valentino, but it surprises me that it was you."

"Oh, I wasn't trying to kill her! I just wanted some more information on her, especially whose territory she'll be going after next."

I nodded. Inwardly, I was quite surprised that he had found out about my snooping. "I believe that we are all worried about her taking our territory."

He hesitated and then gave me a smug smile, "I don't think you are Alastor. Even with how close she is to your current territory line, you've not reacted to her destruction in the slightest. I have not heard a single thing about you trying to stop her."

I made my smile grow even wider than it was. "Then you are mistaken. My minions have been out looking for her ever since I heard of her arrival in Hell."

Suddenly, I heard a window shatter from upstairs. Stolas' mouth fell open, his eyes were suprised. I could feel my antlers growing in rage, the room turning static.

He stepped backward as I approached him. "I promise this is not a plot against you two. Please, just let me explain."

Y/N POV

I walked out of my room and ran towards the stairs, the little imp being dragged along the floor, tied up in my vines. I heard him struggle as he was being dragged. I hoped the rug burn hurt because if his little charade had done anything to Al or Nifty, it would hurt him a lot worse. The whole house felt like it was flickering in and out.

I got to the stairs and found Alastor leaning over an owl cowering on the floor. I hopped off the top of the stairs and flew down, the little imp hitting every stair on the way down. I wanted to find out what was happening before Al killed the owl on the floor. I jumped in between them and held my wings out. Blocking them from each other. I held the imp off the ground with one vine, he was turning in a slow circle. He looked incredibly annoyed at the situation.

I turned my eyes cold and looked down at the cowering figure, "What the fuck is going on here?" My tone sounded calm and slow, but he found the venom behind it. The owl's eyes brushed quickly over the imp I was holding, then the front door of the house blew open. Three figures hopped through the door, each holding a gun. I rolled my eyes and hummed a little lullaby. All three were quickly tied up, their weapons sliding to the far side of the room.

Since the owl, prince thing wasn't responding I looked to the figures on the floor. It was the little red imp girl that I had saved earlier today, the wolf and another imp. I gestured around the room, "Since I saved you today, would you like to explain what the fuck is happening?"

A big smile grew on her face and she looked towards the imp on the floor next to her. He had a scared look on his face but nodded in my direction. She smiled up at me, "Please don't hurt us miss Dark Angel, we want to cut a deal!"

I raised my eyebrow at her suspicious smile and turned back towards Al. He had gotten control of his rage, but I could still see glimpses of it in his eyes, even as he tried to hide it. The owl propped himself up on the floor, "If you let them go, everything will be explained."

I looked down at him, a sarcastic smile on my face. "I don't think you are in the best place to negotiate right now."

The imp next to the southern girl looked up at the demon I held in my vines, "Why didn't you stick with the fucking plan Blitzo?! It wasn't even that hard to follow!!" The wolf next to him let out an annoyed sigh. I looked down at the big-horned imp. A smile grew on his face.

"That plan wasn't very fun though Moxxie! I wanted to scope out the perimeter."

I held him up to my eye level, "Have you seen the state you're in right now?" I let out a laugh, "You probably should've stuck with the plan." Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the owl put a hand to his forehead.

I relaxed my wings and released the imps, and wolf, from the vines. The one I had held rushed towards the owl thing and helped him up. As he stood, I released he was probably around 11 ft, much taller than Al.

"Thank you," he breathed. "That was not how it was supposed to happen."

I turned towards Al and held my wings up, trying to give us a sliver of privacy. "What should we do here? I have no idea what is happening."

He looked down at me before his eyes quickly shot around the room, "Me either my dear. This is your call."

I turned back around and found they had already grouped up again. Al out from around me and to my right side. He was slightly in front of me. The big horned demon stood in front of the owl, while the others surrounded him. Seems like we were going into protective positions. I held my hand out towards the owl. "The name is y/n." I gave a small smile towards the tall owl.

He took my hand and pressed it with a small kiss, "Stolas, prince of Hell."

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Alastor's eyes narrow as he kissed my hand. He let go of my hand and I glanced around the whole group. "Do you mind explaining what was supposed to happen? Because this just seems like a murder plot."

"I apologize for Blitzo's behavior, he gets overexcited. Our first intention was to make a compromise."

I raised my eyebrow and folded my arms, "I'm listening."

A/N: I didn't know how to write Blitzo's name, seeing as the O is silent and you have to read it. I'm gonna be writing Blitz from now on because it's easier to read. ;) Hope you enjoy the story so far!
