"I'm a bit worried..." Sakura mumbled, biting her nail nervously. Tsukasa perked up and looked up at her with his wide amber eyes. "Worried? Worried about what?" he asked. Sakura looked at the ghost boy, debating whether she should tell him her concerns. She sighed in defeat.

"It's Y/N. Ever since that Yui girl arrived, they've always been so tired and drained. They always tell me they've 'had a bad night', but I know it's more than that. I'm suspicious of Yui, do you think she might have something to do with Ichigo-san after all?" Sakura expressed herself.

Tsukasa stayed silent, a blank look on his usually smiling face. "Do you think that girl is hurting L/N-chan?" he hung his head low, his bangs shadowing his eyes. Sakura could tell he was getting angry. "I mean, I can't say for sure..but maybe, " Sakura replied, fiddling with her book.

Silence filled the room once again, but it was broken by the door opening. You stood there, a strained smile on your face. You knew you were tired, and that you were unhealthy. But you needed to keep up a smile, so that the Broadcasting Club wouldn't get worried about you.

"Hello, everyone! Eh, Sakura-chan? You seemed troubled by something.." you took notice of the slight frown on your green-haired friend's face. "Oh no, it's just lack of activity. It kind of worries me, " Sakura lied. You tilted your head, but didn't say anything more. Natsuhiko spoke up.

"Hey, kid. You seem a little tired today. Another bad night?" he said, earning a tired smile from you. "Yeah, I've been really stressed out lately. What with studying for exams and all. My mother doesn't give me a break!" you tried to laugh it off, as if it were a light-hearted joke.

"Just remember to take care of yourself. A beautiful person like you can't lose themselves, " Natsuhiko didn't even mean it in a flirty way, he was genuinely worried. He placed a hand on your shoulder. You nodded and smiled at how genuine the flirtatious boy was being.

"Thanks, Natsuhiko-senpai. I really appreciate your concern, " you thanked him, lying back onto the soft couch. "L/N-chan, about that new student..." you heard Tsukasa say to you. You stiffened at the mention at Yui and perked up, trying to hide your slight fear.

The truth was, ever since Yui had arrived, you've been having terrible nightmares. You were tied up, or held hostage, and a furious girl was begging you for your 'position'. It always ended with the girl running towards you and taking something sharp out, and you'd see her white hair.

"Is she nice?" Tsukasa asked. You nodded at him. I mean, Yui had never done anything to hurt you, she was just a little strange at times. "She's a nice girl. Sure, a bit strange, but I guarantee that she has a gentle heart!" you responded. Tsukasa looked like he didn't believe it.

"Y/N, we think you should take a break. You've been straining yourself to come here everyday, and I really don't want to hurt you like this, " Sakura suggested, clasping her hands together. You were surprised, as well as dismayed. This club was the safest place in your heart.

"Sakura-chan, I swear that I'm okay! I don't have to refrain from coming here, " you tried to tell her. "Y/N, I understand that you like it here. We really love it when you come, of course. But you really need to go home and have a nap. You're in need of it, " Sakura took hold of your hand.

"Even if I go home, I won't be able to rest with my mothr around.." you mumbled under your breath in a spiteful tone. Sakura stayed silent at that. You sighed, cupping your head in your hands. "Sakura-chan, I appreciate your concern, " you finally said to Sakura.

"I won't be here tomorrow, then.." you mumbled, clutching your uniform. Sakura smiled at you and patted your shoulder. "Once you're well-rested, feel free to come back here, " she said in a more uplifting tone. You couldn't help but crack a smile, despite being a little upset.

"Y/N!?" you jolted up in your bed when you heard your mother scream. The door of your room swung open and your mother stuck her head in. "What are you doing!? Being lazy and sleeping!? Get out of bed and do your homework, now!" she screamed at you, an angry spark in her eyes.

"M-Mom, I thought I'd take a little break, " you decided to stick up for your choice, "I've been working very hard, and I thought I should get a chance to rest-" your mother cut you off. "No! I did not give birth just for my child to be lazy and ungrateful!" you clutched the blanket.

"I don't mean to be lazy or ungrateful, " you responded, feeling a sudden twinge of anger. You've always done what she asked of you, worked as hard as you could, tried your hardest to be the best for your mother. But when you wanted a break, she called you lazy and ungrateful.

"I don't care what you mean or don't mean. I know what's best for you, so you listen to me. Get out of bed and go do your homework. Be useful for once in your life!" your mother shouted. She exited the room, leaving you there with an aching heart. You should've never agreed with her.

You should've never promised that you'd take a break from the club. Home was even more hectic, and the club was somewhere you could thrive and breathe. You wanted to go back. Tears pricked your eyes when you remembered the words, "Be useful for once in your life!".

Did she think you were useless? Were those her thoughts about her child, who had been slaving away to be the best, just to satisfy her? Part of you didn't want to believe it, but the other part blamed yourself. You blamed yourself, you regretted not being good enough for her...
