That sunday, Jeongin woke up feeling the excitement of the upcoming match growing on him already.

Ignoring the protests of his roommates โ€“ Beomgyu especially โ€“ he made his way to the common bathroom they shared, to get ready before the others could wake up and reclaim their place.

"I see you got ready at last!" he screamed to Beomgyu when he finally saw the friend descending the staircase โ€“ as he'd woken up so early, he'd decided to wait for his friends to finish getting ready in the common room.

Beomgyu rolled his eyes. "Innie, it's eight o'clock on a sunday morning, the match starts at eleven. How could you expect us to wake up at six to accomodate your needs?"

"That sounds kinky, not gonna lie", replied Jeongin, faking a disgusted reaction.

Beomgyu hit him; and so Jeongin thought it best to change topic: "Do you actually think the two weirdos are going to spend all sunday searching for a boggart?" he asked misteriously.

Beomgyu shook his shoulders. "That's what they screamed yesterday, isn't it? Either way, they're free to do what they want, I guess. Only I wish they'd sometimes attend matches. This could prove helpful for when Ravenclaw is playing". Beomgyu sighed: although he was not apart of the House's team, he was a big supporter.

"Well, the rest of the team is going though, aren't they?" asked Jeongin, just to make sure.

"Yeonjun told me so โ€“ and they'd better, because it's been going on for awhile now that the Slytherins have gathered up quite the team. We shall see today" replied Beomgyu, confirming Jeongin's predictions: there was no way Yeonjun wouldn't attend a Quidditch match โ€“ he was capitain after all, it was to be expected.

While talking, the two friends and the rest of their company had reached the Big Hall, breakfast food already smathered everywhere on the four long tables.

Jeongin grabbed a few slices of toasted bread, alongside a fuming cup of his favorite pumpkin milk. Beomgyu helped himself to a nice bowl of porridge.

In the Hall as well, it looked like all the chatting was pretty much only concerning the match: the tension between the two playing Houses was at its peak that day, making it compulsory for professor Longbottom to stay close to the entrance to make sure that eventual Gryffindors or Slytherins wouldn't get hurt by the rival house.

The young Ravenclaw was enjoying calmly his breakfast, focusing only on the food, when all the chatting suddenly grew wilder and got him to lift his head by a little.

"The Slytherins have arrived", informed him Beomgyu, though there was no need to: all the excitement couldn't be because of nothing else but one of the two teams finally making their appareance, and after awhile at Hogwarts โ€“ as Felix liked to say โ€“ "one grows accostumed to recognizing a House by its screams".

(And as for that, truth be told, Jeongin had a specific idea, that never he missed the opportunity to explain: Ravenclaws' screams were not too high, but not too dull either โ€“ the perfect mixture that made the House look composed even during a quarelling session. Hufflepuffs' were strange, often extra: the house did not like to hold back when they could go all out. Gryffindors' could be easily recognizable as the wildest and most felt: there was this sort of sense of community that made them come together whenever needed. And Slytherins', lastly, were the meanest: Jeongin didn't belive it to be necessarily a bad thing, but the Slyths did know how to make people feel scared or insecure just by the tone they used).

"Davies, Doyle, Kang, Song, Hwang, Kim..." named Beomgyu as he watched the team making its way up to the table. "Wait โ€“ we're missing one member... oh nevermind, there he is. Lee", he concluded, proud of himself for remembering everyone's surnames.

Jeongin observed the last one Beomgyu named, Lee, as he sat down at the table, beside another boy he recognized as Seungmin, the only Slyhterin friend he could say he had that had been introduced to him by Felix.

"That Lee is Seeker, isn't he?" he asked, just to make sure.

"Yes" this time, it had been Yeonjun, the capitan, to answer. "He was already good last year, but I've been told he's gotten even better. Or at least, this is what Wooyoung's been telling me" he added. "That jerk. I think I should go and wish him good luck โ€“ see you later!" and with that, he left for the other table.

After that, nothing eventful happened, and soon many Ravenclaws sitting at the table started to get up and head over to the pitch.

Jeongin, Beomgyu and their group of friends did the same; and the boy was just finishing to zip his raincoat up when two clear and audible voices rose up:

"Oh, what a nice day!"
"Very nice indeed. A pity that we have so many homeworks to catch up with!"
"Yeah โ€“ I am most saddened. Let's just get to the library then?"

Many laughed; Jeongin simply rolled his eyes. They let Changbin and Hyunjin leave first for God knew where, and then they set off for the pitch. "The Gryffindors haven't showed up yet", noted the young Ravenclaw in disappointment, as they were walking.

"Oh, they've already had breakfast" replied a familiar voice, and when Jeongin looked back he saw Felix standing beside him. "They simply went to see Chan โ€“ probably receiving some last-minute advice. Jisung told me".

"Uh, I see" Jeongin had almost forgotten that the Gryffindor's capitain was hurt, and wouldn't be able to participate.

"And tell me Lixie, who are you rooting for?" he asked to change the topic. He felt Beomgyu suddenly turning towards them, probably eager to hear what the Hufflepuff's answer would be.

"Well..." mumbled Felix. He seemed almost embarassed. "If I ought to tell the truth, I think Slytherins have a higher chance at winning this time..."

Yes, and that was not the question, thought Jeongin, though deciding not to say that aloud. He was in fact about to ask him about some other things, when Beomgyu quickly spoke up his thoughts: "Yes, but Innie asked you who you were rooting for. Not who you think'll win", he added, probably just to make sure that the Hufflepuff didn't get confused this time as well.

"Well, I am rooting for neither team. Maybe ask me when Hufflepuff is playing" replied Felix, awkwardly.

Beomgyu simply shrugged his shoulders, clearly disappointed by that answer, and turned back to his other rommates.

"Saying Slytherin was really that hard?", asked Jeongin, amused.

Felix rolled his eyes. "We're literally walking ahead of half the Gryffindor house. Someone might have heard me".

"Sure", replied Jeongin.

"Listen โ€“ I gotta go now, I promised Jisung I'd see him before the match started. See you later Innie!" said Felix at last when they had reached the pitch.
Jeongin barely had the time to bid him farewell that he'd already vanished.

"Let's settle up there; it's the best position" suggested Beomgyu, and so Jeongin headed with his friends to the top of the stands.

Getting to a match early was always very nice โ€“ it was still not too crowded, and you could see the members of the two Houses who were playing on that day place all the different banners; the teachers walk, busy-looking, from one end to the pitch to the other to check if everything was in place; and sometimes even one of the two teams finishing up with practices.

That sunday, in any case, no player was to be seen flying around. "They don't want the others to see", he'd heard Yeonjun, who sat close to them, say; and Jeongin was pretty sure the capitan had the right of it.

The only player he could see what a Gryffindor โ€“ he didn't recall ever seeing them play, so he assumed they must be Chan's alternative. They were doing some stretching exercises, and looked pretty tense; close by, other three people seemed to be talking to them. One wore the typical gold and crimson colors of the Gryffindor house; the other, once he'd squeezed his eyes hard enough, turned out to be Felix. Wasn't he supposed to root for Slytherin? he thought confused, but the real surprise was the last one of the figures, that with their silver-and-green scarf was bound to be a Slytherin โ€“ and, in fact, he was eventually able to recognize Seungmin.

Well isn't that funny; a Slyth standing close to a Gryffin! Wonder what he's doing there...

The little group had to part soon though, as the rest of both teams arrived shortly afterwards.

The more time went by, the more the stands were getting crowded, and the more the tension was growing.

Jeongin felt anxious already, and was finding it hard to even answer Beomgyu's simple questions.

He sqeezed his red-and-gold flag tight โ€“ as most Ravenclaws, he'd decided to cheer for the Gryffins โ€“ when he saw the two rival teams walk onto the pitch at last.

The referee, as per usual, was Mme Hooch, an old lady with big and yellow, cat-like eyes. The woman watched carefully as the two teams set up on their brooms, and waited patiently for the two capitains to do the traditional handshake.

Since Chan was missing, a small-looking guy walked up in his place: his hair was the color of strawberry; and by the size, Jeongin could easily recognize one of the Gryffindor's Chasers, Hoongjoon. After he and the Slytherin's capitain had shaken โ€“ possibly broken? โ€“ each other's hands, Mme Hoock grabbed hold of her whistle, and blew hard.

The players took off โ€“ the match had begun.
