Chan was about to have a mental breakdown.

He could just feel it in his veins, about to creep up as his mind tried to keep him grounded; he knew he couldn't allow himself to have one โ€“ not now, not here at least.

"Ahem! Pay attention!" he roared. "Shut up!", he might've screamed, but that didn't really sound good. Not in front of the Headmistress' office, anyway.

In front of him, chaos reigned. Who would've thought Hufflepuffs could hold so much strength within them, he thought as the two he was coping with were having a very heated argument right in front of him โ€“ despite being in front of him, actually, since he had been confident that his presence alone could stop them from fighting each other.

"He jinxed me!" protested Lia, the girl. "He spilled my tea on my coat!"

"I did not" said back the other Hufflepuff โ€“ Chan didn't know him, but he seemed to be either in his fourth or fifth year.

"I don't care who did what" said Chan, finally managing to get between the two. Mrs. McGonagall will have already told Woojin everything she needed to, and I did not even come! I will have to go up to her and personally apologize.

"Well, and I don't care about what you care about" snapped back Lia. "He attacked me! I insist he gets detention!"

A loud chatting broke after her words. "You will both get detention if you don't stay quiet!" Chan was running low on possible ways to keep them calm.

Lia looked like she was about to protest, but a voice stopped her, just in time: "Lia, sweetie, calm down!"

Yeji appeared completely out of the blue, pushing two witnesses aside. She smiled at Chan, and then focused on the Hufflepuff โ€“ who she seemed to know quite well: "It's tea, which basically means water" with a quick hand movement, she cast a spell which dried the coat's surface, managing to do what Chan had been meaning to for almost twenty minutes, at that rate.

She then turned to face the boy: "Taehyun, say sorry" she commanded. And, before he could speak: "Lia, say sorry".

The two Hufflepuffs looked at each other, and Chan was surprised to see that there wasn't hatred in their looks, but fear.

Why would they be scared of each other? he questioned, they surely didn't seem worried one minute ago.

His reflections, though, were interrupted by Woojin, just entering the corridor.

As soon as the Hufflepuffs saw him, they wuickly dissipated. Yunho and San happily high-fived him and raised their thumbs up, and Woojin smiled back.

"You know what, Taehyunie?" Lia's voice suddenly sounded very awkward. "It's definitely a hundred percent my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going. I'm sorry I accused you".

Taehyun smiled back, just as awkwardly. "It's no problem, don't excuse yourself! I should've answered differently โ€“ a girl is always right, is she not?"

And with that, the two ran away, arm in arm, stopping only to say a quick "Hi" to their Head Boy.

What the actual fuck. Chan turned towards Woojin as well. "Was she mad?" he asked, referring to the Headmistress. His fingers were playing nervously with his blonde locks. "What did she say? Did I get detention? Does she want me to come visit her some other day? Do I have to go and say my sorrys or-"

Woojin shook his head. "No, no, no and no โ€“ don't stress so much, damn! She simply wanted to ask us about how we've been doing as Head Boys, and if we've noticed any oddities. I said we're doing well, and that we haven't noticed anything to be extraordinarily off. Did I do wrong?", he then asked, since Chan was not answering, but he was smirking. "Should I get back and tell her you hate it? I can do it immediately".

And he turned back as if to actually get back to her office, but Chan stopped him immediately. "No! Are you mental? You have to tell me everything she's said though, I was supposed to be there. I'd also like to have a few words about your Hufflepuffs, because they are rather undisciplinedโ€“"

"Ahem... actually" Yeji gently tipped Chan on the shoulder. The Gryffindor almost jumped, because he was sure she had left with Lia. "Before you have your talk, I would like to have a few words with Chan. Is it possible?"

She blinked twice, but otherwise kept her eyes well fixated on the two boys.

"Of course you can!" answered Woojin, shrill. "Don't worry Chan, I'll tell you everything tomorrow. Now that you've pointed that out, I really think I should go check on my undisciplined Hufflepuffs. I'll see you around!" and he left.

"Ahemโ€“" Chan looked at Yeji, not really sure of what to think. The two had grown somewhat closer recently, but not so close that they would be see hanging out together from time to time; so he assumed that whatever the Slytherin wanted to tell him, must be really important.

Yeji was looking down at her feet, looking almost embarrassed, which was very unlike her: she always looked so confident and unbothered, so to see her struggle was not something Chan was used to.

The boy cleared his throat. "Did you want to tell me something, Yeji?" he tried to make his voice sound as soothing as possible, to try and calm her down.

The Slytherin slowly raised her eyes back and locked them with Chan's. She looked so pretty the boy almost forgot to breathe.

"Ehm... actually... but no, i-it's not that important..." she stuttered, and that was enough for Chan to understand something serious was going on: Yeji never stuttered.

"You can tell me anythig, you know that. I'm here for you" he answered, drawing his hand had out and to gently squeeze hers.

The two made eye contact, but just for a brief second. Then Yeji lowered her gaze, and that gave Chan the opportunity to spot a soft, peachy blush creeping up on her cheeks.

Could it be that...? No, impossible. Chan didn't want to believe it. Didn't dare believe it.

"Yeji..." he gently pushed her chin back up, and stared at her right into her eyes. What's the problem?, he wanted to ask once again, but never got around doing it.

Because before he knew, in fact, the girl had wrapped her hands around his shoulders and had pressed her lips tight against his.

Chan would've been lying if he'd said he wasn't expecting that at all โ€“ most like he was hoping it would happen. Because of that, he didn't let the girl have those few seconds of uncertainty when one doesn't really know if they're actually going to be reciprocated, but did so immediately; a small smirk even grew on his lips (still well-pressed onto hers), and he closed his arms behind her back.

When they parted at last, even Yeji was smiling. Chan intertwined their hands and let her lean her head on his shoulder.

"Turns out you didn't actually have something to tell me", he whispered mockingly, "but rather something to show me".

Spontaneous giggles were the only answered he got โ€“ and, truth be told, the only one he really wanted.

Soft hours for ChanxYeji: open๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ

i am completely whipped for them like i don't understand why the internet is full of liskook shippers but like? none stans this one? idek man.

(disclaimerยก!: of course this is not meant to sexualize members/start annoying ships. we have to respect their privacy so in no way am i claiming they are in love with each other & stuff. i am adressing the story characters, not the real people. this goes for every ship in all my stories โ€“ pls don't think i'm being rude or disrespectful, i'd be 100% supportive to anyone if they decided to date their schoolmate, another idol or a random dude found at McDonald's at 3am on a saturday might while drunk).

but apart from the long ass rant, there's one q i actually want to ask you: do you guys actually care about chapter's titles? like do you look at them before reading the chapter & try to guess what it's going to be about or do you simply read right off the batch?

this is simply my own curiosity, i'm not going to change the layout but yea i was just interested :D
