It was a typical day in Hogwarts, the soft chatter of students mixed with the clattering of quills on parchment. Y/N sat at the back of the classroom in her usual seat, her focus not on the lesson at hand but on the sketchpad in front of her. A few stray notes about the subject matter were scribbled in the margins, but her attention was elsewhereโon her boyfriend, Mattheo Riddle, who sat at the front of the class, his posture as perfect as always.
Her pencil moved with skill and precision, capturing every detail: the slight furrow of his brow as he read his textbook, the way his hair fell just right, and that sharp jawline she couldn't help but admire. The longer she worked, the more the drawing seemed to come to life. She smiled to herself, proud of her work, even though she was trying not to get caught by the teacher.
But her luck had run out.
"Y/N," Professor Hightower's voice cut through the air, "care to share with the class what you're drawing so intently?"
Y/N froze, the pencil hovering over the page. The class turned to look, and there, in all her glory, was a nearly perfect sketch of Mattheo Riddle, his face illuminated by the soft glow of the candles.
She quickly flipped the page over, her face flushing a deep shade of crimson. "Uh, nothing, Professor. Just... just doodling."
Mattheo, ever the observant one, turned around, his eyes narrowing when he saw the professor's attention on Y/N. The boysโall of themโshifted in their seats to see what was going on. A few snickers came from Blaise and Enzo, but none of them could see the drawing yet.
"Is that so?" Professor Hightower asked, raising an eyebrow. "Well, you seem to have quite a bit of talent there, Y/N. I'd love to see it after class. You can stay behind."
The bell rang before Y/N could even respond, and the room was filled with the rush of students gathering their things. The boys crowded around Y/N's desk.
"Oi, I want to see this masterpiece," Blaise teased, leaning over to try and peek at her sketchpad.
"Let me see it, Y/N," Mattheo's voice was softer than usual, though there was a teasing edge to it. His curiosity piqued, he watched her closely as she slowly flipped the page back over.
Y/N sighed, biting her lip, and let them see the drawing. She half-expected them to laugh or make fun of her, but when Mattheo's eyes fell on the image, a slow smile spread across his face.
"Well," he said, clearly impressed. "I look... good."
"You look amazing, babe," Y/N replied, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "I couldn't resist."
Enzo raised an eyebrow. "Well, if this doesn't earn you a special dinner tonight, I don't know what will."
"Or a lot of extra attention in class," Blaise added with a grin.
Mattheo chuckled, the faintest blush coloring his cheeks. "As long as you're not going to draw me in every class, I guess I'm fine with it."
"Only the important ones," Y/N teased, winking at him. "You've got to be the best subject, after all."
The boys exchanged amused glances, and though Mattheo remained silent, his smile grew as he leaned over to press a kiss to the top of her head.
"Just don't make a habit of getting caught, alright?" Mattheo whispered, his voice low enough that only Y/N could hear.
"I'll try," she responded with a grin. "But I can't promise anything."
The bell for the next class rang, and the group of friends made their way out, laughter and teasing filling the air. But for Y/N, the day had just become a little bit brighter, knowing Mattheo's reaction had been one of admirationโand that her little secret skill had finally been revealed.
