It was an ordinary day at Hogwarts, or so Y/N thought, as she walked into the Slytherin common room. She had spent the morning working on a piece of new ink for a client, and now she was ready to relax. The usual group of boysβ€”Mattheo, Theo, Blaise, Enzo, and Dracoβ€”were gathered in their usual corner, laughing and teasing one another. Y/N smiled as she walked toward them, but there was an unmistakable tension in the air.

"Hey, Y/N," Theo said, his voice unusually serious. "We need to talk."

Y/N froze. Theo rarely got this serious, and she could tell something was off. She looked around at the boys, who were all now watching her closely, their expressions unreadable.

"What's going on?" she asked, her voice casual, even though her heart rate picked up. She had a feeling she knew exactly what this was about.

Mattheo stood up from his seat, his usual nonchalant demeanor replaced with a furrowed brow. "You've been acting... different lately," he said, his voice tinged with concern. "And we've heard rumors. About you. About you becoming a Death Eater."

The words hit her like a ton of bricks, and she felt her stomach drop. Of course, they'd eventually find out, but hearing it from Mattheoβ€”her boyfriend, the person she trusted more than anyoneβ€”felt like a punch to the gut. Her mind raced, trying to figure out how to handle this. She knew what they were all thinkingβ€”was she really capable of being one of them? A Death Eater? Did that change everything they had?

She let out a bitter laugh, a smirk curling on her lips as her eyes narrowed. "Bitch, my family runs the most powerful mafia in history, and you're worried about the fact that I'm a Death Eater?" Her voice was laced with frustration and something elseβ€”defiance. "Grow up. My family isn't some weak little group that's gonna get pushed around by Voldemort. We're untouchable."

The boys exchanged uneasy glances, clearly taken aback by her words, but Y/N wasn't done yet. Her anger and frustration boiled over.

"I'm the mafia heir," she continued, her voice rising. "And I'm the most successful hitwoman ever. You have no idea what I've been through, what I've seen. Death isn't just something I deal withβ€”I grew up with it. I was trained for it. I've seen people die, and I've been the one to make it happen." She took a step forward, her eyes never leaving Mattheo's. "And you're sitting here acting like this is the worst thing about me? Grow the fuck up, Mattheo. You knew who I was when we got together. I've been hiding this from you, but you know damn well who I am. And if you think me being a Death Eater is the issue, then you don't understand what's at stake here."

There was a sharp silence in the room, and Y/N could feel the weight of everyone's eyes on her. She took another step forward, her voice dropping into something more dangerous, more commanding. "My family could take down your precious Death Eaters in minutes. Voldemort doesn't scare me. But I'm doing this for you. For all of you. I'm doing this to protect everyone in this room."

Mattheo's jaw tightened, and Y/N could see the conflict in his eyes. But she wasn't finished.

"You ever realize people are following you when you go out?" she asked, her gaze fixed on him. "Those aren't just random people, Mattheo. Those are your secret bodyguards. My family has eyes everywhere. I've been protecting you all from the shadows, and you didn't even know it."

Her words hung in the air, charged with a power that was impossible to ignore. The boys were silent, their eyes wide as they processed the weight of what she had just revealed. They had always known that Y/N was special, but they hadn't realized the full extent of it until now. Her family's power, her bloodline, and the dangerous life she ledβ€”everything about her was suddenly more complicated than they had ever imagined.

Mattheo's expression softened, and he took a step toward her. The anger and frustration in her chest faded, replaced by something elseβ€”something warm and vulnerable. She hadn't expected to get this kind of reaction, but the look in his eyes told her everything.

"You're still the same girl I fell for," Mattheo said softly, his voice full of admiration and something elseβ€”pride. "You're not some random Death Eater to me. You're Y/N. And that's what matters."

Before she could respond, Mattheo closed the distance between them and pulled her into a passionate kiss. It was intense, filled with all the emotion that had been building between them since the moment they had met. Y/N felt the weight of his hands on her, his warmth, his need, and for the first time in what felt like forever, she felt like everything was right. Everything was going to be okay.

When they finally pulled apart, Mattheo smirked at her, his eyes gleaming with admiration. "That's so hot," he murmured, his lips curling into a grin that made her stomach flip.

Y/N raised an eyebrow. "What are youβ€”"

Before she could finish her sentence, Mattheo had her hoisted over his shoulder. She yelped in surprise, laughing as she tried to squirm free.

"What the hell are you doing?" she asked, her voice a mix of amusement and disbelief.

"I'm carrying you to my dorm," Mattheo said with a smirk. "You've just made my day, and now I'm not letting you out of my sight."

Y/N couldn't help but laugh as Mattheo carried her through the corridors, his grip strong as he navigated the halls with ease. The boys followed behind, all exchanging curious glances, but none of them said a word.

As they reached Mattheo's dorm, Y/N was still laughing, her heart light and free for the first time in days. She wasn't just a Death Eater or the mafia heirβ€”she was Y/N Kane, and she had everything under control. The world was hers, and she wasn't afraid to show it. And Mattheo? He was proud to stand by her side.

As he kicked open the door to his dorm, Mattheo grinned at her one last time, before gently placing her on the bed. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Y/N."

Y/N smiled softly, her gaze locked on his. "Then don't even try to imagine it," she said, leaning in for another kiss.

In that moment, everything felt rightβ€”Mattheo, her family, the boys, and the life she had chosen. She had everything under control, and no one would ever take that from her. Not now, not ever.
