Y/N was curled up on the couch in the Slytherin common room, the soft glow of the fire casting a warm light over the room. Her legs were tucked beneath her, a book open in her lap, and her attention was completely absorbed in the pages. Mattheo, sitting beside her, was lost in his own thoughts, but occasionally shot her a glance when she would absentmindedly tap her fingers against the book, or when her dark hair fell over her eyes.

After a few minutes of silence, Y/N looked up, her eyes catching Mattheo's briefly before she spoke. Her voice was soft but direct. "Matty, ice water, now."

The room fell still for a moment. The boysβ€”Theo, Blaise, and Enzoβ€”looked at each other, their amusement building. Mattheo didn't respond. He just looked at Y/N for a brief second, a quirk of his eyebrow the only indication that he'd heard her. Then, without a word, he stood up and walked toward the kitchen, his movements fluid and effortless.

"Did she just..." Theo started, his voice a mix of confusion and amusement.

"Yep," Blaise cut in with a chuckle. "She did. And he just got up without a single word."

Enzo shook his head with a smirk. "She scares him."

Theo laughed softly, glancing toward Mattheo's retreating figure. "I mean, she doesn't even have to say 'please.' Just 'ice water,' and he's on it. He really is whipped."

The teasing continued as Mattheo returned, a tall glass of ice water in his hand. He didn't say anything as he walked past the others and handed it to Y/N, his expression neutral. The moment he sat down beside her, however, he let out a deep sigh and flopped back into the couch, visibly resigned.

Y/N smiled sweetly at him, her eyes warm and appreciative. "Thanks, Matty."

Mattheo just let out another sigh, his hand coming to rest on the back of the couch behind her. He shifted a little, clearly trying to act casual, though the other boys were watching him intently.

"I'm starting to think she has some kind of power over me," Mattheo muttered under his breath, more to himself than anyone else. But the others heard, and Blaise snorted.

"Matty, she does have power over you," Blaise teased, leaning back in his chair. "We all saw that. You're practically her personal servant."

Mattheo glanced at Y/N, his eyes momentarily soft. "I know," he muttered. Then, lowering his voice and leaning closer to her, he added, "She scares me, okay?"

Y/N raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "I scare you?" she asked, clearly amused.

"Yes," Mattheo said, looking straight ahead, trying to act tough but failing miserably. "You're terrifying. You ask for something, and I just have to do it. It's like I'm under some sort of spell."

The room fell silent for a moment, the boys watching in shock. Mattheo wasn't one to admit such things lightly, and yet, there he was, confessing to his own little soft spot for Y/N. Y/N leaned in just slightly, her face softening as she placed a hand on his arm, her touch gentle.

"Poor Matty," she teased with a smile, but there was a softness in her voice that the boys weren't used to hearing from her.

Mattheo rolled his eyes, but there was a small smile on his lips. "Yeah, yeah. Keep it up, but I swear, next time you ask for ice water, I'm going to make you get it yourself."

Y/N laughed softly, resting her head on his shoulder as she sipped her water. "You wouldn't dare."

"I would," Mattheo said, still trying to sound tough, but there was no hiding the affection in his eyes.

The boys in the room exchanged knowing looks, their earlier teasing replaced by a sort of quiet admiration for the couple. There was no denying the dynamic between Y/N and Mattheoβ€”one where they both played off each other, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, but always with an undeniable bond.

Blaise finally broke the silence with a soft chuckle. "Well, it's official. We all know who's in charge here."

Mattheo didn't even bother to respond this time. He just smiled, pulling Y/N a little closer, and they both fell into a comfortable silence, the warmth of the fire flickering around them and the gentle teasing of their friends in the background.

Y/N glanced at Mattheo one last time, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You're really scared of me, huh?" she asked, her voice teasing but soft.

Mattheo just gave her a resigned look, then whispered, "You're terrifying." But there was no mistaking the smile on his face as he pulled her a little closer.
