It was another chilly afternoon in the Slytherin common room, the fire crackling merrily in the hearth as the boys lounged in their usual spots. Mattheo was sprawled on one of the armchairs, his legs stretched out and his hands absentmindedly flipping through a book. Theo was on the floor, leaning against the couch, while Blaise and Enzo were engaged in a quiet conversation by the window.

Y/N had just returned from a morning spent at the tattoo parlor in Hogsmeade, her mind still buzzing from the intricate designs she had worked on for clients. Her black hair, always untamed and wild, was now braided neatly down her back, but something seemed... off. There was a subtle metallic shimmer as she moved across the room, a glint of silver catching the light.

As Y/N stepped closer to the group, she could see the moment Mattheo's gaze flicked to her, his brow furrowing in confusion. He didn't immediately comment, but his eyes followed the sway of her braid as she moved. It wasn't just a braidβ€”there was something hidden inside it. It took a moment for his mind to catch up with what he was seeing, and when it did, his jaw dropped slightly.

"Y/N," he said, his voice full of curiosity, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "What's in your hair?"

Y/N, seemingly oblivious to the growing interest, simply reached up to tug gently at the braid. As her fingers brushed through it, four silver daggers slipped out from the strands, each one small but sharp, their handles polished and reflecting the firelight. The daggers were nestled neatly between the loops of her braid, practically hidden from sight unless you were paying attention.

"Daggers," Y/N said casually, as if she was just stating the weather. "Figured I'd give them a little more... accessibility. They're always within reach now."

There was a beat of silence as the boys processed this.

Theo blinked in disbelief, his eyes darting from the daggers to Y/N's calm demeanor. "Wait. You've got daggers... in your hair? What, are you going to pull one out like a secret weapon if someone annoys you?"

Y/N shot him a wicked grin. "You never know. Maybe I'll just flick one out at a particularly annoying Gryffindor."

Draco, who had been silent until now, gave a low chuckle, his silver eyes narrowing with an intrigued smile. "You know, I'd say you've officially taken 'carrying knives' to a whole new level. Wearing them in your hair? That's... impressive."

Blaise, leaning back against the wall, let out a soft laugh, shaking his head in amazement. "You've always been unpredictable, but this? This is genius, Y/N."

Enzo, who was always more serious, now raised an eyebrow. "I've seen you carry daggers on your person, but this... you're really making it your signature style, huh?"

Y/N shrugged nonchalantly, completely unbothered by the attention. "I mean, it's practical. I always have one on hand now, no need to reach for a belt or a bag. Plus, no one ever expects them to be there. That's half the fun of it."

The boys exchanged looks, clearly impressed. They'd seen her pull off some daring stunts and tricks in the past, but this was something entirely new.

Mattheo, still a bit bewildered, raised an eyebrow. "Do you ever worry you'll stab yourself with them?" He glanced at the daggers, clearly not convinced they were as harmless as she was making them out to be.

Y/N flashed him a mischievous grin, tapping the hilt of one dagger, a flicker of satisfaction in her eyes. "If I didn't trust myself with them, I wouldn't wear them. They're attached securely, and I know how to handle them. Besides, it's not like I'm going to accidentally poke my eye out."

Theo chuckled, clearly impressed with her confidence. "I'll admit, I'm a bit terrified of you now. That's... it's brilliant. But also very scary."

Y/N laughed softly, running her fingers through her hair once more to adjust the daggers, making sure they were all in place. "You all think I'm crazy, but you'd be surprised how often having a weapon on hand can come in handy. Even if it's just for self-defense."

"Self-defense?" Mattheo scoffed with a playful smirk. "Or are you just looking for a reason to flick blades at people?"

Y/N smiled sweetly, though her eyes glinted with a knowing mischief. "Why not both?"

Blaise snorted, clearly entertained. "I'd pay to see thatβ€”someone trying to challenge you and getting a dagger to the face."

Y/N smirked at Blaise's comment but kept her gaze on Mattheo, her expression softening slightly. "I don't make a habit of hurting people unless I absolutely need to. But it's nice to have the option."

Theo shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips. "Honestly, this might be the most you've ever impressed me. And I didn't think that was possible."

"Right?" Draco agreed, nodding in acknowledgment. "It's like you're a walking enigma, Y/N. You've got the looks, the brains, and now the weapons. Are you sure you're not secretly a villain?"

Y/N raised an eyebrow at Draco, her lips curling into a sly grin. "I've got a lot more surprises up my sleeve, Malfoy. You'll see."

Enzo, ever the quiet one, leaned forward slightly, studying her with an analytical gaze. "I'd say you're one of the most unpredictable people I know. But I think we've all learned by now that's what makes you... well, you."

Y/N nodded with a small, satisfied smile. "Glad to know I've made an impression. Now, if anyone wants to challenge me, feel free to make an appointment. My daggers and I are always ready."

The group fell into a comfortable silence, each of the boys looking at Y/N with a mixture of admiration and amusement. It wasn't just her tattoos, her cool demeanor, or her ever-present daggers that made her stand out. It was the fact that Y/N had this rare ability to stay calm, confident, and effortlessly dangerous all at once.

As Y/N settled into the couch next to Mattheo, who was still staring at her with a mixture of awe and mild disbelief, she leaned her head on his shoulder, a quiet chuckle escaping her lips. "So, no complaints about the daggers?"

Mattheo glanced at her with a smirk, his voice playful yet filled with admiration. "I think I'd be more worried about anyone who dares mess with you now."

"I'm glad you understand," Y/N said, her smile softening. "I like to keep things interesting."

The boys, each in their own way, couldn't help but be drawn to her strength, her unpredictability, and her quiet, dangerous charm. It was just another day in the common roomβ€”but with Y/N, it was never quite ordinary.
