It was a lazy Saturday afternoon, and Y/N was hanging out in the Slytherin common room with Mattheo and the boys, lounging around and chatting about the latest pranks they'd pulled around Hogwarts. The soft glow of the late afternoon sun filtered through the windows, and the warmth of the room made it the perfect time to unwind. Y/N was lounging on one of the couches, her feet propped up on Mattheo's lap, her phone in hand as she scrolled through social media. Mattheo was lazily flipping through a book, his fingers idly running through her hair.

The peace of the moment was shattered when Austin Georgio, a fellow Slytherin, walked in. The usual mischievous grin on his face immediately caught Y/N's attention.

"Y/N!" Austin's voice called out, filled with excitement. Before she could even register what was happening, Austin had swiftly scooped her up, tossing her over his shoulder like it was the most normal thing in the world.

"Austin!" Y/N laughed, squirming in his grasp. "What the hell are you doing?"

Austin only grinned wider, not slowing his stride as he headed toward the door. "Trust me, you'll love it. I'm taking you on an adventure."

"Put me down!" Y/N tried to protest, but Austin was already making his way out the door with her still draped over his shoulder. Mattheo immediately shot up from the chair, his eyes narrowing with alarm.

"Austin! Put her down!" he demanded, his voice dark with protectiveness.

Austin didn't even break a stride, calling back over his shoulder, "Relax, Matty! It's a surprise. Don't worry, she'll be back soon enough."

Before Mattheo could make a move, Austin was out the door, and the boys were left standing in stunned silence. They exchanged nervous glances, the unease quickly spreading among them.

"That's not like Austin," Theo muttered, already reaching for his phone. "He didn't say where he was taking her."

"We need to find her," Mattheo said, his voice tight. His hand clenched into a fist at his side, already regretting not going after them.

Days passed, and the boys were no closer to finding Y/N. They scoured Hogwarts, searching the corridors and even asking professors if they had seen her, but there was no sign. Every time Mattheo checked his phone, his heart sank as he saw nothing from her. No texts, no calls. It was as though she had vanished without a trace.

Meanwhile, Y/N was living the dream.

Austin had taken her to his private beach house in Costa Rica, an incredible place right on the water with a sprawling view of the ocean. It was a paradiseβ€”white sandy beaches, the sound of waves crashing, and lush green palm trees. Y/N felt like she had stepped into a dream. The first few days passed in a blur of sun, sand, and ocean. Austin showed her around the house, which was open and airy with large windows that overlooked the endless ocean. They spent their days lounging on the beach, exploring the jungles nearby, and eating fresh seafood every evening.

Y/N had no intention of telling anyone where she was. She didn't think about how the boys might be worrying about her. It was nice, being away from the pressure of school and the endless attention she often got at Hogwarts. She enjoyed the peace, the simplicity. But as time went on, she found herself snapping pictures of the stunning scenery. A sunset here, a picture of the turquoise water there, a picture of herself with her toes buried in the warm sand. It all seemed so beautiful and surreal, and she couldn't help but share it with her followers on Instagram.

She posted daily, showing off her beach view, the hammock where she'd spent hours reading, the vibrant sunsets that melted into the ocean, and her content smile as she relaxed in paradise. She had no idea that the boys were starting to connect the dots from her posts.

Two weeks passed before Y/N finally decided to take a break from the beach and share a quick update with her followers. She snapped a picture of herself standing on the beach, the ocean stretching far behind her, a bright smile on her face. The golden sun set behind her, casting a beautiful warm glow across everything. She uploaded the photo with the caption:

Living the dream in Costa Rica! Don't worry, I'm fine.

She had no idea that one simple post would cause a massive stir.

Back at Hogwarts, Mattheo was scrolling through his phone when he came across Y/N's post. His heart skipped a beat, and he immediately clicked on the picture, staring at it in disbelief. He stared at her radiant smile, the calm ocean, and the sunset that seemed so distant from the chaos they'd been feeling. For a moment, he was frozen, unsure of how to react. His chest tightened with a mix of relief and frustration.

"She's in Costa Rica?" Mattheo muttered under his breath, his voice barely audible as he read the caption. The realization hit him like a wave. He couldn't believe itβ€”she had been in paradise this whole time, and he had no idea.

Theo, Blaise, and Enzo gathered around him as he read the caption again, their faces showing a mix of disbelief and relief.

"Costa Rica?" Blaise said, his eyebrows raised. "What the hell? She didn't even tell us?"

Mattheo shook his head, still processing it all. "She could've at least told us where she was going. She's been missing for two weeks. We've been searching for her like crazy."

Enzo sighed, rubbing his forehead. "At least she's alright. She looks happy in the picture."

"I don't care if she looks happy," Mattheo snapped, his voice laced with frustration. "She should've told us. We've been out of our minds, worrying about her."

"Right, but at least now we know where she is," Theo added, trying to keep things calm. "She's safe. That's what matters."

Mattheo quickly typed a message to Y/N, his fingers trembling with a mix of anger and relief.

Where the hell are you? Why didn't you tell us you were going to Costa Rica?

But he didn't get an immediate response. Instead, he stared at her post, his mind racing with thoughts of how much time had passed without him knowing where she was.

A couple of hours later, after the boys had let the initial shock wear off, they came to the collective decision to let Y/N have her space. They'd all been concerned, but they understood she needed the time away. Still, it didn't make the situation feel any less frustrating.

Meanwhile, Y/N continued to enjoy her time in Costa Rica, unaware of the whirlwind she had caused back at Hogwarts. She never checked her phone, too absorbed in the world she'd found herself in. The warm breeze, the crashing waves, the friendly company of Austin, and the complete lack of obligationsβ€”everything felt perfect.

Two weeks after the initial post, Y/N finally decided to return to Hogwarts. When she walked back into the Slytherin common room, she was greeted by a group of boys who were both relieved and angry.

Mattheo was the first to speak, his arms crossed tightly. "Next time you disappear for two weeks, you tell me where you're going. Don't just post some cryptic picture on Instagram. Do you have any idea how worried we were?"

Y/N grinned sheepishly, shrugging. "I didn't think it was that big of a deal. It was just a little vacation, Mattheo."

"You didn't think?" Mattheo said, his tone tight. "You just left without a word. I spent half the time thinking something had happened to you."

"Well," Y/N said, still unbothered, "Costa Rica's amazing. You should all come next time. The beach was beautiful."

Mattheo sighed, pulling her into a tight hug. "Next time, just tell me first. No more surprises."

"I'll think about it," she teased, smiling against his chest as he held her. "But honestly, you guys would love it. I'll make sure to take more pictures next time."

As she stood there, wrapped in Mattheo's embrace, Y/N realized how much she had missed himβ€”and how much she needed the adventure to recharge. The boys were still grumbling, but she knew they were just happy to have her back.
