The evening had started like any other. Y/N and the boysβ€”Mattheo, Theo, Blaise, and Enzoβ€”were lounging around her dorm, chatting and enjoying the comfort of each other's company. Y/N had just finished sketching out a new tattoo design when she felt the familiar irritation in her eye. The brown contact she wore in her right eye had shifted, making her uncomfortable.

She reached up to adjust it, but the moment she touched her eye, she froze.

Theo was watching her, an eyebrow raised. "What's up?" he asked, a mischievous grin tugging at the corner of his lips. "You look like you're having a battle with your eye."

Y/N, not wanting to draw attention to it, quickly waved him off. "It's nothing. Just need to fix my contact."

But before she could slip the contact back into place, Theo had already stood up and wandered over to her. "What do you mean, 'fix' it?" His voice was laced with curiosity. "Is it bothering you that much?"

Sighing, Y/N tried to act nonchalant as she gave him a small smile. "It's just a bit out of place. Nothing big."

Blaise, who had been sprawled on the couch, suddenly shot up with a knowing smirk. "You've been wearing those contacts all day, haven't you? I bet they're getting uncomfortable."

"Yeah, she's been fiddling with them for a while," Enzo added, glancing over at her from where he sat. "You sure you're alright, Y/N?"

Y/N hesitated. She could feel the pressure building as all the attention was suddenly on her. She had always been so careful to keep her secretβ€”her two different colored eyesβ€”and had even gone as far as to wear brown contacts in both eyes to make sure no one noticed. But now, with the boys gathered around her, the situation was spiraling out of her control.

She glanced nervously at Mattheo, who had been quietly watching her from the corner of the room. He hadn't said anything, but the look on his face was soft with concern. It was almost as if he could sense she was about to reveal something personal, and it made her heart race.

With a deep breath, Y/N made her decision. She needed to show them. She wasn't going to hide anymore.

Without saying another word, she reached up and gently removed the brown contact from her right eye, holding it between her fingers. The boys watched her closely, a mixture of curiosity and confusion in their expressions.

Theo stepped forward, his gaze intense. "What the hell are you doing?"

Y/N slowly opened her right eye, revealing the green eye beneath the brown lens. "I told you," she said softly, "I have two different-colored eyes."

The boys stared at her in silence for a moment. Theo's mouth parted in surprise, while Blaise's eyes widened. Enzo leaned forward with interest, but it was Mattheo's reaction that made Y/N's heart skip.

He was looking at her intently, his eyes soft, his lips slightly parted as he took in the sight of her unmasked eye. It was a beautiful shade of green, startling in its brightness compared to the brown that had covered it all this time. Y/N felt a rush of nervousness flood her chest, unsure of what their reactions would be.

"You've been hiding this?" Theo's voice broke the silence, sounding almost incredulous. "You have one brown and one green eye?"

Y/N nodded, her fingers still holding the contact. "I didn't want to draw attention to it. It's... not really normal, is it?" She glanced down at the contact in her hand, feeling the weight of their gazes.

Mattheo stood up from his spot beside her and moved slowly toward her, his eyes never leaving hers. "Normal?" he repeated, his voice low. "Y/N, there's nothing wrong with it."

Blaise let out a low whistle. "That's... kind of rare, isn't it?"

Enzo leaned in closer, his curiosity piqued. "It's cool, actually. I've never seen anything like it."

Y/N smiled, feeling the tension in her shoulders release slightly. The teasing she had feared didn't come. Instead, they were all intriguedβ€”genuinely interested in her difference rather than mocking it.

Mattheo reached out and gently took her hand, his touch warm against her skin. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked quietly, his expression soft. "You know you don't have to hide things like this from me, right?"

Y/N's heart swelled as she met his gaze. "I just... I didn't want to be different. I didn't think anyone would understand."

Mattheo cupped her cheek gently, his thumb brushing over her skin. "I love you just the way you are. Brown or green, it doesn't change anything."

Theo, still holding the brown contact in his hand, chuckled. "Honestly, I think it's cool. You've got a little bit of magic in your eyes."

Blaise smirked and leaned back in the couch. "I can see why you've kept it a secret. It's pretty... unique."

Y/N chuckled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest as the boys continued to tease and joke. For the first time, she didn't feel like she had to hide her difference. She wasn't some oddity to themβ€”she was just Y/N.

With a soft laugh, she carefully put the brown contact back in her eye, the familiar weight settling back into place. "Thanks for not freaking out," she said, her voice light.

Mattheo leaned in and kissed her forehead gently. "There's nothing to freak out about. You're perfect, Y/N. All of you."

And in that moment, with the boys around her, Y/N realized that her eyesβ€”whether brown or greenβ€”weren't something to hide. They were a part of her, and she didn't need to keep them secret anymore.
