The morning light gently filtered through the windows of Mattheo's dorm, casting a soft glow across the room. The boys had just returned from their early training session and were looking forward to a quiet break before their classes started. Little did they know, they would walk into something entirely unexpected.
As they entered the room, the boys froze in their tracks, their eyes widening in shock. Y/N was lying on her back in the middle of Mattheo's bed, fast asleep. That in itself wasn't unusualβshe often crashed there after long nights of studying or hanging out. But what made the scene absolutely bizarre was the baseball bat, perfectly balanced on her forehead, and the hunting knife that was casually resting on top of it, its gleaming blade pointed upward as if waiting for some unseen force to come and take it.
Mattheo was the first to step forward, blinking in confusion. His usual calm composure faltered as he stared at the sight in front of him. "What... in the name of Merlin is this?" he muttered, half in disbelief, half in amusement. His eyes flicked from the bat to the knife, then back to Y/N, who remained completely oblivious, her chest rising and falling steadily in her deep sleep.
Draco, who had been walking behind Mattheo, squinted, his eyes narrowing in disbelief. "Is that a hunting knife?" he asked incredulously, his voice laced with disbelief. "Why is it on a bat?"
Enzo, always one for logic, was the next to speak. "I'm not even sure where to start," he said, his brow furrowed as he approached the bed, leaning forward to get a better look at the strange setup. "Who balances a bat like that with a knife on top? Did she plan this in her sleep?"
Blaise stood behind them, arms crossed, trying to suppress his laughter. "If anyone else tried this, I'd be concerned. But Y/N... this is probably just a regular Tuesday for her."
Mattheo shook his head, still trying to wrap his mind around the situation. "I don't even know if I should be worried or impressed. This is the strangest thing I've ever seen."
The boys shared a few more glances, unsure of how to proceed. The bat stayed perfectly in place, despite the delicate positioning of the knife on top. It was clear that Y/N had carefully placed the weapon there, but how she managed to stay asleep with it on her forehead remained a mystery.
Finally, Mattheo decided to take matters into his own hands. He reached down and carefully lifted the bat off Y/N's forehead, the knife still precariously sitting on top of it. The bat came off easily enough, but the knife was another matter. It wobbled slightly, and for a split second, it looked like it might fall off, but Mattheo was quick to grab it and pull it free, ensuring it didn't drop onto the bed.
"Alright, I think it's time to remove the dangerous sleep accessories," Mattheo said with a smirk, holding both the bat and the knife. The other boys chuckled at the ridiculousness of it all, but none of them could quite figure out what had driven Y/N to do this in her sleep.
"She's gonna kill me when she wakes up," Mattheo muttered under his breath, his eyes glancing down at her peaceful expression. Y/N was completely unaware of the chaos around her, her body still relaxed, and the faintest hint of a smile on her lips as she slept soundly.
Draco leaned in closer, looking down at her, his voice lowering to a whisper. "Do you think she has any idea what she just did?" he asked, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "She's the only person I know who could sleep through something like this."
"I don't think she does," Mattheo replied, shaking his head. "But she's definitely going to have a lot of explaining to do when she wakes up."
Blaise snorted with laughter. "Explaining? She won't even remember this when she wakes up."
"Probably not," Enzo agreed, his voice teasing. "But if she remembers it, I think we've all learned not to mess with Y/N in her sleep."
They all exchanged glances, the air thick with amusement, and yet still tinged with confusion. There was no denying it: Y/N was a mystery wrapped in chaos, and no one could ever predict her next move.
Mattheo carefully placed the bat and knife on a nearby chair, making sure they were out of Y/N's reach. He turned to the boys, his eyes lingering on her for a moment before he smiled softly. "I'll let her sleep for now. But when she wakes up, I think I'm going to have a few questions."
The boys nodded in agreement, laughing quietly as they backed out of the room, trying not to disturb her. They all knew that when Y/N did wake up, she'd likely be just as clueless as they were about how she ended up with a baseball bat and a hunting knife in her sleep.
As the door closed behind them, Mattheo lingered for a moment longer. He glanced over his shoulder at Y/N, who was still blissfully unaware of the chaos she'd caused. A fond smile crept onto his lips as he whispered to himself, "You really are something else."
With one last look, he left, closing the door softly behind him. The dorm was quiet once more, leaving Y/N to continue her strange, weapon-filled slumber, her body still oblivious to the odd scene she had created.
